exactly. a lot of people fail to realize that culturaly-oriented stations exsist for a reason - to give racial/ethnic minorities something to relate to, to identify with. when i turn on the tv i am rarely met with faces that look like mine, and the few times that i am, they are usually stereotypical asian-americans either in the form of a kung-fu master or a dragonlady bitch. i'm glad there are other media outlets not only so we, as minorities have somthing that addresses our concerns; but also to show the rest of america that we are more than the stereotypes most network tv portrays us to be.

most clubs shut down at 2am. "afterhours" clubs are open until 330am. the exception to these rules are during special events when clubs are allowed to remain open until 6am. of course tho, there are a few places that stay open past allowed times... aqualounge usually stays open past 2am, tho it isnt an afterhours

id like to know also. my sister and our cousins are going to be in HI next week and were wondering what clubs they should hit.

if ya run two fingers over the top of the stuff (i assume its in a jar type of container) getting some on yer hand, then the heat of rubbing yer hands together should soften the stuff up enough so you can use it. or if its one of those hair wax sticks (like bedhead), rub the stuff directly on your palm, rubs palms together then put on yer hair. OR, use the stick directly on your hair to make it stay whereevr you want. my old hairdresser would take a hairdryer and heat up the stick a little (with the cap still on) then rub some on his palms. either way though, its still gonna be hard. you only need a little, so that little amount should soften up enough for you to be able to use. what kind of stuff did you get?

pomade or molding creme... scoop out a LITTLE, rub btwn both hands getting it warm enough so that a thin film of the stuff is on both hands. rub through your hair and style.

you should probably try to find a hotel in south beach if you want to be closer to everything. who knows whats still available though. If there is anything available down there, the prices are jacked up. you *might* wanna try priceline and just select south beach as the area in miami you want to stay. the wmc is being held at the miami beach convention center, with pooside schmoozing taking place at the doubletree surfcomber. most of the nightclub events are being held on the lower numbered blocks (from about 16 and on). wmcon.com for info

did you book your room yet? days inn is a two star hotel, super 8 a one star. days inn is downtown, and the super 8 is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up there on collins. if youre paying more than 70$ for these rooms, id look elsewhere. you can still find cheapish hotel rooms (at a better quality hotel) on priceline.com and maybe even travelocity, expedia, or orbitz are you renting a car also? the money you spend on cabs might be saved if you got a slightly more expensive hotel room, closer to everything.

my friends just got a hotel room through priceline.com (2/28). 50$/night at the wyndham miami beach resort (4star hotel) which is at 40something collins. its slightly out of the way of everything thatll be going on, but at this late of a date, beggers cant be choosers.
