  1. Friday: 2/8/02 from 11pm til 1am (NY time). The show will also be broadcast on the internet: www.fridayniteexpress.com
  2. even if it has the best sound, there are so many other djs that night worth checking out where u can actually dance. f**k stadium seats f/ a S&D set!
  3. really your theories? ...umm don't think so considering books like "Last night a DJ saved my life" and such that have analyzed the scene and evolution of "house" music. even if it's fun to be bitchy, remember this is a local community where most of us know each other, not a global one that you're use to treating like shit.
  4. I for one won't attend that event nor venue. I wouldn't be surprised if the duo performs elsewhere f/ an afterhours
  5. check out an interview: http://www.ministryofsound.com/music/radio/shows/djs/ashleycasselle/
  6. Thanks again to Dade for the guestlist! I must agree w/ Chris and Frank on Fri. night. The opening DJ was good, he knew what an opening set is like, unlike the last DH opener. Anyhow, Howells started off real nice and housey but then he just changed to trance and progressive, hey I like all of those genres, but it seems to me that danny was in a banging mood. Once the dancefloor got packed most of us went up to the dj booth where it felt like a mini-conference of sorts but oddly enough I wasn't feeling the music for the remainer of the night... btw, we had cameo appearances by Jimmy V M and Luis Diaz. Found out that f/ wmc we'll be having Sasha and Diggers play at the Miami Arena... Frank: That track w/ the Madonna "Everybody" sample was indeed SWEET!!! I bet the NYC crowd was spoiled silly last night at Viynl
  7. James: I wanna go...dunno if I can make it tho. Howells is a go! Diego: we really know that your guilty pleasure are glowsticks...don't worry, we'll mail ya some!

    addicted to bass

there's this new track that (I think) was produced/remixed by Deep Dish recently called "Addicted to bass" and I gotta tell you guys that it's really really good. Female vocals singing the title of the track w/ some other words and it's about 6-7 mins long. I'm sure we're going to be hearing it at conference and I wouldn't be surprised if Howells plays it Friday night.

    Clubplanet Buzz?

If you haven't already noticed, this board has not only been busy with clubbers but as well as those running the business, DJs and te like, so I was wondering what's been going on w/ CP. Is it word of mouth, the media, what? Either way it's a great forum for us all into the scene.
  10. I found their music video to be quite funny...all sloppy and not giving a shit about looking "prettY" tho the lead singer has something cute about him. I saw 'em on SNL and enjoyed the performances. So when's the concert Pat? lol
  11. Dade, I really appreciate the offer, as I'm sure all of us who'll be attending. Stace, I guess we can't wear no jeans damn just when I got some real nice ones...
  12. hey D, Maybe we'll all approach howells and kidnap him f/ the weekend... <Evil laugh>
  13. danny: every time I see that dancing mouse it reminds me of your dancing!
  14. I haven't been able to view the streaming video but here's the link for you howells fans: www.xpander.tv

    Space fm

excellent response Noira! "As always...if you do not have something intelligent to add to this post, be kind enough not to grace us with your ignorance." As if this was SPACIOUS' messageboard! f*** that!
  16. Kevin: you sure you saw me before? anyhow, i'm sure we'll meet up again before 2 yrs!
  17. woohoo another club opening... YAWN
  18. That offer is very class! Now it's people like you who keep the scene real and alive. Keep us posted w/ wmc scheduling f/ Liquid.
  19. Mimi: poopie-head! Last night was excellent, went in not expecting much and left quite impressed. Barbie, your review covered just what I thought of the night. The only missing element was coolassleo! Marcos, glad to have you back w/ the cp crew! shake your bum bum

    Wtf?!

    nice one!
  21. wvum is total crap, it's been like that for quite some time due to their music directors who are into the experimental shite! you would think that college radio would always be innovative and cool to listen but its not so for them. too bad wrgp (fiu's station 88.1) has a low frequency but they have some quality shows whenever you can get a hold of the station.
  22. Agreed! So what's the number so we can request the right stuff. No matter what you say about the music being "underground" it's really not, and since we've got a radio station aiming to play dance music, they might as well strive to be like Kiss FM and Radio One in the UK, granted these stations have their flaws but at least you'll hear good tracks and hopefully by conference we can hear some special guest DJs (including our own locals).
