  1. Its One Thing If You Want To Trash Me After Acting Like You Were My Friend...but To Say Some Negative Shit About My Girlfriend....lol..omg You Have No Idea Who You Are Dealing With.
  2. since some really dont know the whole story... a few months back, i had spoken to stogie and carlos about doing a party. many ideas were discussed. i was driving by players downtown and figured maybe they would be a good place and would be willing to work with us. i gave carlos the contact at players and we planned the party. it was agreed upon to do a locals thing and i personally recommended RC, grooveric and relik. we met at players and decided that thier soundsystem would not be enough. To make the party better, RC and myself loaned our personal equipment for the night. In addition, Carlos rented additional sound. I personally made a financial "investment", so we could have a ad in the new times. my day began early on saturday loading equipment in RCs truck and brining it from south dade to downtown. then we spent the entire afternoon setting up. it was to everyone's disappointment that not very many people showed up. we tried our best and it didnt do well. it sucks because a few of us invested a lot of time, energy and money. but thats the way it goes- at least we tried. we had pre arranged time slots, however, when it was obvious that the night was a bust, a decision was made to do away with the time slots and just let everyone spin for a half hour or so. it would have been great if everyone could have spun a 2 hour set for a packed room, but it just didnt work out. and i understand that some came to hear thier friends spin and they didnt get to play for as long as they wanted, and it sucks...it sucks beyond a certain DJ not getting to have a long set..it sucks cuz once again local support was just not there. and the funny thing is that the one who has the biggest right to bitch is me...of the DJs, besides RC, i did more to make this thing work than anyone and i got to play 4 records.... so...you can go on and on how i cut off someone's set, i stole someone's glory, i suck and the whole thing bombed because of me...but if more people would have come out to support the locals, then this never would have happened. last week i had some life changing shit occur and i made a promise to myself that i would be more understanding and patient and i tried...but.... gerryc- you hung around aftewards and you had hours to say something to me if you wanted...you looked me dead in the eye and shook my hand....then, you waited until you got on the internet to talk all your shit. i thought you were a smart kid but you really proved to be a punked out little bitch. oh..but rest assured, im sure that we will have our chance to discuss this in person very soon
  3. despite all the other bullshit..lol..hopefully everyone made out ok with the hurricane.
  4. i really do feel bad about all of this
  5. gerry- i want you to know that i think you did a great job and as a young guy, i think you will definetly go places in the music industry. my girlfriend and i enjoyed talking to you last night and you seem like a cool guy. i appreciate all the help you gave me moving all the stuff during the day and at the end. i left players thinking that i just met a kid with a good head on his shoulders and now you seem kind of personally angry at me and i really dont understand why. the idea of doing a locals trance party was a concept that i supported. i tried to do everything in my power to make it a success because it was something i believe in. i certainly dont consider myself a "superstar" nor do i ever desire to be one. i just love the music and try to have fun. i'm a amatuer dj that just likes to have some fun with it. i would have been happy spinning for 20 minutes. i was told i would be spinning at a certain time and that was the plan i was operating under. obvioulsy there was some sort of miscommunication or things changed and i wasnt informed - i certainly apologize for any responsibility on my end. i certainly agree that i could have done a much better job keeping the pace of the music- what can i say- i'm a amatuer!!!! on a more positive note- i still firmly believe that yourself, Relik and grooveric can bring the local trance scene back to miami!
  6. the more i think about this, i feel horrible. this event was founded with the best of intentions. i guess a apology is in order to DJ Relik. I was under the understanding that i would be spinning from 230-330. when i went to the dj booth at 230, relik was spinning- i guess i assumed that he was finishing cuz i was on at 230. i certainly meant no disrespect to anyone and i was definetely not trying to steal anyone's glory. im involved in this for the fun and the love of music.
  7. ...wow.... however after reading some of these posts, i guess i had better defend myself. i invested a significant amount of time and money to try and make this party a success. when the idea to do a locals trance party, grooveric and relik were the first people i thought of. i have nothing but respect for them as djs. iFOR 3 WEEKS WE HAD AGREED SET TIMES. THESE SET TIMES WERE ARRANGED BASED ON WHAT THE DJS WERE GOING TO PLAY. ERIC AND RELIK WERE SCHEDULED TO PLAY A LITTLE LATER BASED ON THIER STYLE. at some point somebody took it upon themselves to change thier time slot. i really dont know what happened but...when it was time for me to spin, there was somebody else spinning. i really dont think its fair to say that i cut off somebodys set when it was supposed to be my time slot from the very begining. however, even in light of having my scheduled slot hijacked from me...i just said hey, let me play 4 records. i really put in a lot of time and money to try to make this party a success and i must say this negativity is hurtful. and i'm a little shocked at the insult by gerryc. however, i still think that everyone did a great job.
  8. so........im assuming attomic will be in attendance?
  9. its got nothing to do with me.... i posted this january/05. "if you check out my profile it says that i joined CP oct/2000. the only one that ive found thats been on the miami board longer than me is sobeton. 5 years......basically that means that there were some that were 16 when i began posting on CP and now they can legally go to Space. i heard from a friend that Space was charging 50 dollars at the door for morillo. 50 dollars....that is if you werent smart enough to buy a advance ticket. And when i checked the New Times, Crobar had advance tickets for David Morales. Advance tickets..................hmm i cant help but take a step back and kind of take a wide eyed look at what has happened to the miami scene. i guess some would say that the scene has exploded...and probably in some financial ways it has...but...... i guess i was happier when people would travel TO miami to hear the local residents. i remember standing in line in the bathroom at the old space and this guy from california was ranting and raving up and down how lucky i was that i lived in the same city where edgarv and oscar G were residents.....jesus christ, i remember when shadow had oakenfold and more f'n people were there the next night for acosta. miami used to have its own scene...now it has a imported scene. look at the major clubs-the main focus is on the guest superstar DJs...and you know- i understand it in some way...the big names bring big money...they also bring a big price tag...and the end result is that the clubber pays as much at the door as they would for a rock concert and i have to ask myself when will it end?.... as some of you may know, i spin records..i have a unrelated career so this is not how i pay my bills. i can tell you that it is much harder for a local DJ to make money in miami...the big checks are going to the traveling superstars...and then guess what else is happening-the locals that are worth a shit are traveling outside of miami..lol. so.......this is why you should support groove eric- ive never heard him spin (heard great things, though)..but it really doesnt matter what he plays..the point is that this is a local guy that is developing a local following, doing his thing...its not like the all too familiar situation where we are force fed a DJ and told they are good just because they spin at a club (see fain, bellini, and a bunch of others) if the tone of this is negative, i really didnt mean it to be. I just want to see miami return to the glory days! when its local scene ruled. THIS POST SAYS IT ALL...
  10. remember the DJ RC was a finalist in the cooljunkie competition last year at SPace....(dont want to stir up any shit but many believe that the better man didnt win) i am certain all that come wont be disappointed by the music. in the early happy hour, ill be spinning retro tunes. later on...well....i cant promise that i wont throw on a couple of MIX/SHADOW classics.
  11. remembe that the only way that djs are allowed to make thier living the way that they do is becuase of the clubbers. clubbers pay for your house, your car and basically all you have. dont shit where you eat.
  12. hopefully pod will come and take some pics at our party:)
  13. remember- - there is going to be a special happy hour starting at 8pm with 2 for 1 drinks and free apple martinis for the ladies ! - this special event will have enhanced sound, video and lighting! -get your vip cards! -look for our HUGE ad in the new times! -other downtown venues will have "superstar" djs and will be charging 40 or 50 bucks to get in....
