I don't think I can keep up with you guys... Saw Tia Carrerra is Borders books. Had to do a double take, she's beautiful! Met Jimmy Carter waaay back in the mid '80's. Met Casper Weinberger (Secretary of Defense in the early 80's) at the Pentagon. Skated with Ronnie Lott and Kristi Yamaguchi (sp?). Watched Ronnie take a huge digger on skates. Was pretty funny watching this big ass football player be totally uncoordinated. Hung out a few time with Joe Patane from the Real World, Miami. Hopefully next time I go to visit my friends in LA, I'll meet Jeff Goldblum (Independence Day) and Peter Wheller (Robocop). My friend plays guitar in a jazz band with them called the Jeff Golblum Experience (stupid ass name, I know). Was neighbor of Danny Glover for about 2 years. Spotted robin Williams a few times in San Francisco. Been in Sharon Stone's house (in Sea Cliff, San Francisco) when it was being remodeled. A friend was sup'ing the remodel. She was a total bitch to him though.... She ordered a $60,000 marble sink top, then after it was installed wanted it changed and didn't want to have to pay for it... WTF????? Hmmm.... I'm definitely more of a giver. It can be bad both ways. Too much giving leads to people either taking advantage of you or they end up just not wanting the person to give anymore (too much of a good thing). While conversly, taking too much is definitely bad as well (greed, selfishness). Well, a lot of people said it very well here. I pretty much would say what everyone else said... Someone who can accept me for me and not me for what they think they could make me into... Someone that can appreciate my goofy sense of humor (or can at least get it...) addendum to the rest: Intelligent, can hold up their end of a conversation, happy (or at least a positive outlook, doesn't have to be happy ALL of the time). Although, I do know that PVD played 1015 Folsom on NYE. I'm trying to start talking to peeps that are in the scene here. None of my friends are really into it... Third pic is of Mt. Diablo again looking east. Normally, you can't see Mt. Diable from Twin Peaks... at least not regularly, cause it's 40-50 miles away and usually there is fog/smog/ or something obscurring the view, but it's been so clear the last week that it's no problem seeing it. Hey all!!!! Life in San Francisco is moving along. The weather has been great! Last Saturday I went river rafting (actually kyaking). Been riding my motorcycle ever day now. Well said Mike! Since everyone has a different reason for doing what they do at clubs, I couldn't easily answer the <I>why</I>, I can only vouche for myself. Mike did say that very well. I'm not a big drinker (most of the time ), and have gone the whole way totally sober. It's really situational as to what and why people do it. Some people do it cause they believe that being fucked up is part of the scene, others do it cause they like to or want to at that moment. I do it when I feel like and it, otherwise I just go and get myself lost in another world just through the music... I've done it with an ex. It can be really fun if they like it. Must go SLOWLY though. Don't want to tear anything. A finger at a time works, and try to do this over seriously, like 30 minutes the first few times.
