  1. I'm originally from Lazia, a small country in Europe. There are hardly any other people from Lazia in the U.S. because most of the citizens are too apathetic to leave. While my people value the conservation of energy, the county is relatively unproductive. Hardly any progress ever happens as the citizens of Lazia avoid doing work. Instead of making an effort to further themselves, they spend most of their free time surfing the web and posting on message boards. ------------------

  4. Honey, I'd date ya...but you know I'm married. At least you don't have to live in Hartford, CT...that's a fate much worse than death. ------------------

  6. When most people get older, every successive relationship is potentially less and less casual. Society mandates that everyone settle down by their late 20's/early 30's. Being single/looking for someone often becomes so intertwined in one's persona that it in fact becomes a perpetuation of one's youth. Becoming involved in a serious relationship signals the end of the search, hence the end of youth. Commitment becomes a harbinger of one's impending mortality. Furthemore, there's something terrifying about the prospect of getting involved with the wrong person and wasting precious time. Nevertheless, such considerations are normal. Constructing an emotional barracade only serves to ward off true opportunities. You can't win if you don't play. Also, don't forget to do more drugs. When not doing drugs, drink profusely. ------------------

  8. While I agree with most of resident's post, I disagree with the reason why Spitzer's report was so controvercial. Spitzer found that SOME homosexuals could be trained to switch their orientation. The danger of this report is that it might become fodder for the erroneous belief that ALL homosexuals can be trained to switch. The report doesn't stress that the degree and origin of homosexuality tends to vary from person to person. Armed with Spitzer's report, many conservatives might cause "unchangeable" homosexuals to endure emotionally damaging "treatments." As far as the validity of Spitzer's report goes...hell, with enough electro-shock treatments, many people could be convinced that they prefer sex with monkeys. Resident is correct for criticizing the knee-jerk response of overly sensitive left (or right) wingers. Nevertheless, considering the report's potential for misuse, it's certainly understandable why gays would be so vehemently opposed to it. Spitzer's report would have been similarly attacked had it found instead that some jews are cheap, some blacks are criminals or that some hispanics are lazy. ------------------
  9. Comfortable seating for lazy bastards like myself...Ouch, my ass is still sore from the stairs @ Twilo. ------------------
  10. My thoughts exactly. I was especially disappointed with Green Velvet. ------------------
  11. Since it's passed through saliva, pretty damn good. If your immune system is in good shape and your friend didnt slobber all over the J/bowl/bong/blunt, you might avoid it. ------------------
  12. Actually,...I WOULD like my own month. Tolerance is achieved through understanding. Understanding is achieved through education. There's no such thing as enough education. By definition, people are BORN with genetic disorders. That's what makes a difference between something being genetic versus something being contracted like AIDS. Whether or not a "cure" could be found, I'm sure there are plenty of more important things that science SHOULD make "priority number 2" (cancer, congential birth defects, etc.). The term "family values" is relatively subjective. If it refers to honesty, fidelity, honor, productivity, and respect, then two "fags" can teach a young kid as well as two heteros. ------------------
  13. Because it wouldn't prove anything more than that girl's PET scan on the MTV special. The only way to gather conclusive data on the effects of E is to take a scan of a person's brain before ANY drug use and then after using ONLY ecstasy. I doubt anyone who'd answer the survey wouldn't have used any other drugs since they started rolling. ------------------
  14. News Flash: Pot kills your short term memory also. Heroin is bad for you. Crack kills. All drugs cause some sort of physical damage. I don't think anyone here is in a position to preach to anyone else about the evils of drugs. We're adult enough to know the facts and make our own decisions. Fortunately, most mature E users are aware of the consequences. Aside from moderation, the ONLY known option for reducing the amount of brain damage is Prozac. ------------------
  15. Likewise, Steve...and BTW: No real names here (Big Brother is watching!) ------------------
