  1. I would but you'd run circles around me!!! Damn, boy! ------------------ "When the soul wishes to experience something, she throws an image of the experience out before her, and enters into her own image."
  2. I've just one thing to say, your friend needs to drop this guy and fast. Not only is this behavior pretty screwed up on many levels, it's manipulative and controling...not a good combination in any relationship. However, I'd say that's easier said than done. No matter what you say it's going to take your friend coming to the realization that this relationship is not working. All you can really do is be there for her to help pick up the pieces when all is said and done. And your friend, she needs to realize that she deserves a lot better than someone who treats her that way. I don't want to know what else this wack job, sorry, man does to her. Good luck! ------------------ "When the soul wishes to experience something, she throws an image of the experience out before her, and enters into her own image."
  3. Ayep! Figured it was a sign of me being gullable. Ah well! Majestic...glad you were with me there or It might feel mighty cold checking out this bridge I might buy for 100 bucks. ;-) ------------------ "When the soul wishes to experience something, she throws an image of the experience out before her, and enters into her own image."
  4. Personal fav' though is FUBAR and of course... Cof*****. hee! -Oo ------------------ "When the soul wishes to experience something, she throws an image of the experience out before her, and enters into her own image."
  5. This may be a sign that I'm incredibly gullable but... LMFAO= laughing my f****** ass off. ------------------ "When the soul wishes to experience something, she throws an image of the experience out before her, and enters into her own image."
  6. Just got the viewsonic A90 a few weeks ago and I love it. Reasonably priced with 19 inch view screen was about $300 at compusa, but you could do much better online at places like egghead.com If you're a gamer I would highly recommend *against* a flat screen monitor (flat screen meaning narrow monitor not screen curviture). With the holidays coming you may or may not luck out when it comes to a new monitor. I'd suggest holding out till after x-mas when the sales hit hard. Viewsonic is a top notch company with great monitors so long as you stay away from their extreme low end models. Trinitron also make fantastic monitors but are more expensive. Keep an eye out on ebay, PCConnection, egghead and various wholesale auction sites and see what comes up but you should find something more than decent for between 300-400 depending on the size you're looking for. ------------------ "When the soul wishes to experience something, she throws an image of the experience out before her, and enters into her own image."
  7. Hey folks, Looks like lots of us are going to see Mike spin over in Sunnyside this weekend. Was thinking it might be useful to make a few plans on how to get out there. Perhaps those of us who it would be useful for can meet up in Manhatten then head on out together etc. etc. Maybe even stop for milk shakes on the way! No one can tell me they don't like milk shakes Also if anyone has transportation and is willing to carpool that would be great too. I'd be happy to organize this if ya all want. Feel free to email me at ooana@nyc.rr.com or IM at DRMirave. ------------------ "When the soul wishes to experience something, she throws an image of the experience out before her, and enters into her own image."
  8. Heh...I'm searching for a new job...whatcha do? (Is desperate to get out of the drudgery she's in 9-5.) ------------------ "When the soul wishes to experience something, she throws an image of the experience out before her, and enters into her own image."
  9. Lots depend on the type of job you're going for, however remember you're selling yourself, your skill and your personality to the interviewer. You never go wrong by asuming at first that the person who might be getting you the job is very traditional in their approach so be incredibly polite and professional. If they get more laid back then you can as well. However, the interviewer who is the most laid back can often be the most difficult to impress. Watch for his/her methods of catching you off guard. If they ask you for your top qualities and your worst qualities, try to twist the later into something positive. Also, remember that the person interviewing you is simply that, a person. Use eye contact, speach patterns and body language to make yourself professionally appealing to them. And most of all..Trust yourself!!! ------------------ "When the soul wishes to experience something, she throws an image of the experience out before her, and enters into her own image."
  10. In 90% of circumstances I'd help them. There are the ocassions where helping someone else does put you in danger or someone you are close to in danger...unless that's the case and you have to make that kind of tough call (and it is a very very tough call) then absolutely help them. I'd hope that in a case like that I'm able to, at the very least, find someone else who would be able to provide them with what ever kind of support they'd need. ------------------ "When the soul wishes to experience something, she throws an image of the experience out before her, and enters into her own image."
  11. Hey there all, I think the game he was talking about however was the one created by Virgin a few years back, pre Dune 2000. It's tough to find but I'm in the process of looking. I remember there was a site that listed and provided links to DL many old DOS and windows games but I can't for the life of me remember it or find it...even on google. Being a good recluse tonight myself. Dune, some hot coco and a blanket sound like a perfect way to recoup from the start of another work week. Look forward to hearing what you all think of part two! ------------------ "When the soul wishes to experience something, she throws an image of the experience out before her, and enters into her own image."
  12. ROFL But..you forgot... She says in the middle of the action while you're on top "Beige, I think I'll paint the ceiling, beige." ------------------ "When the soul wishes to experience something, she throws an image of the experience out before her, and enters into her own image."

  18. Oh I was geeking out right there with ya Only dissapointment I had was that it didn't go nearly as far into the story as the first film did...but damn it was good! Can't wait for tomorrow! Yep, more geekdom in front of the TV with the cat and munchies! If you like the Dune series, check out the books by Dan Simmons called "Hyperion." 4 books to the series and they are incredible.
  19. Believe things just ended after CB, but not certain. Had to leave early I was so exhausted from Friday ;-) Pitty they kicked us off that platform right up front!!!
  20. They were fantastic. Crowd was a bit strange, swear I saw more than one guy dressed in a polo shirt and wearing a belt decorated with fish. Can you say, didn't know where they were gonna be that night? Plant openned and was great too. All in all, real good fun.
