instead of posting on a music/club board, wouldn't it be more relevant to just call up hospitals in the NY area? are there any boards about the medical field with geographical subtopics? ------------------ http://liz.isfamous.com

yeah, there's some weird stuff happening on the board's server. after it went down for a couple days i noticed when it was back that the nameserver resolved to a different IP, probably circumventing the problem server. or maybe it was the same server, who knows. but i do know that it jacked my cookies for a few days! dammit where are my little red folders and auto name/pass? the server seems more back to "normal," and the errors i bypass by just trying to reload the same address after a minute. i was hoping the crap was due to upgrades, but it looks like they're just playing catchup with the server demand. ------------------ http://liz.isfamous.com -
Attn: girls...make-up question!?!
toastednut replied to playboychick's topic in New York / New Jersey
for every day i really would recommend Club Monaco wet/dry foundation compact. it's amazing, doesn't ever look cakey and it's highly pigmented so you don't use a lot. portable, and as the name suggests you can use it wet, or for lighter coverage and touchups, dry. i use the liquid makeup version of it because i like the semi dewy finish (think Goddess), but my coworkers who do use wet/dry swear by it. their skin looks flawless, even after 8 hours working the sales floor. i used to be a hardcore MAC user, but in comparison their products end up too thick, cakey and grainy in finish. MAC was created originally for photo shoots, so it's great for that. but for in-person appearances i'd go for something undetectable. also available at Sephora and Sephora.com. that sucks if Sephora workers can't do makeup! ------------------ http://liz.isfamous.com -
it's all about server cache. or they changed their minds about the new one. and i was hoping i was imperceptive. ------------------ http://liz.isfamous.com

toastednut replied to gonzojournilist's topic in New York / New Jersey
i was just about to post, does this paper have an editorial secion? while i appreciate the very well-thought out opinions and critique of the articles, why not take it a step further and write to these journalists about the tone and lack of representation in the articles? when i say representaion, i mean presentaion of the facts: they chose to take drugs in a private establishment, how sure are they that they will be submitted to medical treatment in a "reasonable" about of time? etc... ------------------ http://liz.isfamous.com -
it's not really a message board, per say, but it does have a message board feature. it's livejournal.com, and you have your own journal page/site (free) with an option to have threaded comment section for other people to post on. so, in essence, i am the topic and my journal entries are the threads to which you can add to. you can also browse others' journals who have made them public, and there's a nifty-neato profiles page where you list your interests and it becomes databased so you can click on an interest, and it will give you a list of other users with the same interest. cool, non? you can also browse/search the jounals by user age, location, last update... and of course this is all customizable. pretty kool project for the self-indulgent. http://www.livejournal.com/users/toastednut/ ------------------ http://liz.isfamous.com [This message has been edited by toastednut (edited 04-22-2001).]

now i know i am because i just wrote about it on my online journal, exactly about this topic, and then i checked the boards to find this topic. so yes, i 'll admit it. i am addicted. i came here in december looking for fun stuff to do when i came to play in NYC in Jan, but 4 months later i'm still here, like a lost Seattle puppy that just doesn't fit into the crowd. why do i still do it. ------------------ http://liz.isfamous.com
