  1. considering he's been playing thru every week and these are similar lyrics, I'm curious about why you think that.
  2. Do you really think anyone in here CARES??? This is a house/dance music board...especially this forum. Back to the music.
  3. Tony C is brilliant, curious about what he turns out...glad to hear he hasnt entirely left the biz
  4. It's definately a funky house tune for sure...and I hear what you're saying but you have to admit that some big jocks are supporting the song, just my opinion of course and we are all entitled to our own... Fliz
  5. Here's what some of the big jocks have been saying about 1000 Years: PETE TONG Essential Selection “Hot new from Jupiter Ace†Essential Selection 10/12/2004 JUDGE JULES “One of the biggest funky house tune of the Winter†MOUSSE T “Played Jupiter Ace yesterday & destroyed the club, very dope...†PAUL VAN DYK `s Soundgarden @ Radio Fritz 1/12/2004, 15/12/2004 STEVE SMART (Kiss Fm) “Yeah I played it on sat night. Really like it... It is a very big record†COL HAMILTON “1000 years is gonna be big †ALAN THOMPSON “Yeah it should be a biggy for you..... and such an awesome tune†DAVE SEAMAN “Very good†Also supported by Erick Morillo, Seb Fontaine, Seamus Haji, DJ Disciple
  6. Is this ever going to REALLY come out?? He's been talking about it for SEVERAL YEARS!
  7. Actually not correct...Official Commercial release date is February 14, 2005. Out on promo now.
  8. Wayyyy too early, but I think Exhibit A-G Minor, Dean Coleman-Remember, Jupiter Ace-1000 Years, Lucien Foort-Shine A Light, and Mirabeau-Houston Calling could still be around...also Daft Punk and Superchumbo have new albums dropping which may be influential...who knows!
  9. There is NO Skylark mix, that's a mislabel...it is actually the original mixes that are labeled "Skylark". Pete Heller's mix has gotten hammered but I prefer Jupiter Ace.
  10. It's your mix so it's really up to you, however i dunno about that mashup you included of "Shake It"...that song was really the best Lee-Cabrera production ever so I would include the original (or the spruced up Steve Mac mix or even Lee-Cabrera's own update "Shake it 2004"). As far as songs you are missing, a few come to mind including their mix of Granite and Phunk-Knock U Over, Deepest Blue-Deepest Blue, Anna Vissi-Call Me, and their new production "G Minor" under the alias Exhibit A forthcoming on C2 (good luck finding it tho!)
  11. Nice list...that Tom Sawyer on Younan is a sleeper, dope track. Looking foward to hearing the IIO remix.... Fliz
  12. That Prydz is a mislabel, he was not involved. That Narcotic Thrust mix is dope. Anyone know *69 release date? Andy Morris dropped it on his Kissfm show. Fliz
  13. Agreed...pretty boring remix....Original mix for the slower sets and Stereo anthem dub for the big room is still the way to go....
  14. Sharam and Ali are Deep Dish...yeah, "Say Hello" is the goods..wonder when it is coming out...there is a shit quality 12 min rip goin around mislabeled promo mix. Hey, long time no speak Cal...!
  15. That Angie Stone was a severe letdown after "IWIDMY" IMO. As far as the JP track, he's completely lost it...and Lola's Theme is a track that shouldnt have been in any way associated with Calderone. Again, this is just my opinion, to each their own, but I think most will agree with me that the "NY vox" as we used to know it has pretty much vanished. : (
  16. NY vocal house has sadly gone the way of the dinasaur...pure garbage all summer...where have all the hexs, jonathans, peters, victors and skribbles gone? : (
  17. Actually, sounds quite a lot like half his other shit...perhaps "unoriginal" is a better word...still, bassline is kinda funky and lyrics are hilarious, gonna be a smash (that d12 record is so awful that ANYTHING would top that).
  18. Absolutely nothing massive this summer...very disapointing...hardly any vocals. Some decent stuff, but nothing huge. : (
  19. Thanks man...ask him if he ever did a mix of "Cry Little Sister"...he used to rock some mix of it that was never released.
  20. Sounds dope, but I dunno if I'd call Richie a "kid"..used to play in staten island back in the mid 90's and his productions were more diverse, he seems to have settled for the all too played "tribal sound". I still respect him immensely and I respect what you are trying to achieve with this night! Fliz
