  1. It could be the brand of CD's but it could also be how you have your burner set up. Make sure you have it as a master and not a slave.
  2. Ok, first off ported boxes CAN sound just as good as sealed boxes if designed properly. They will give you better low bass response and are much more efficient (meaning they will give you higher volume with the same amount of power....they can easily give you 3 dB more than a sealed box which is a significant amount.) However, ported boxes are more difficult to design than sealed boxes and they take up more space. Also, you have to decide what you want to tune the box to if you port it. The tuning frequency will determine what's the lowest frequency that the sub will be able to play. If you go ported I would tune it at about 25-30 hertz. However, it is easier to blow your sub with a ported box. I run my 2 A/D/S 12's in a sealed box, so I'm not knocking sealed boxes at all. I'm just dispelleing the myth that ported boxes don't sound good. It is just harder to make them sound good than it is a sealed box. As for the power and box size...what is the exact model of those subs? If it is the regular punch series than it is definitely not rated to handle 600 watts RMS. If it is the HX2 or power DVC model then it probably is. You do not have to match that power rating to get good results. At least 300-400 watts will push it pretty well. ALthough more power wouldn't hurt. And you will not hear the difference between 600 watts and 800 watts. It takes a doubling of power to gain 3 dB of sound....which is the smallest amount that the human ear is said to be able to detect. Ok enough of my ranting. (sorry...car stereos are my true hobby...i have 1600 posts on the car stereo board)
  3. Well, I have a very close female friend who was born in Rio. I'll try to ask her but she lived there when she was real young so she might not know any good night spots. But, I'm pretty sure you're gonna have to know portuguese, not Spanish.
  4. hehehe....i love that song...it's classic. That's off his first album, Doggystyle. It's him with Kurupt and maybe a couple other people.
  5. Damn, I wish we knew for sure. Either way I'm going, whether it's Roxy or Exit. I just wanna know for sure so I don't miss it.
  6. If you are a fan of uplifting trance and don't have this song...GET IT..... Oceanlab - Clear BLue Water (Ferry Corsten Mix). Great song.
  7. Where did you hear that its the 25th? They heard it was the 15th of Feb. Please confirm that it is the 25th because if it is and I miss it I'll shoot myself. I really dont think its the 25th though.
  8. I agree, Draper for afterhours sucks. As soon as I heard him play Rythem Ready as the first song after Tiestos set I wanted to puke and got the hell out of there, but that still doesn't detract from Tiesto in my opinion. Wherever he is I'll go.
  9. My friends were at exit last night and supposedly DRaper got on the mic promoting a couple parties and meantioned something about Tiesto for Feb. 15. Anyone know iof this is true? If it is I'll be happy as hell. His first time there was amazing I thought.
  10. I love Tiestos In search of sunrise 1 and 2 for being with a girl. It's so calm and theres a lot of soft sweet vocals in them.
  11. That "tucan - light a rainbow" song is great....i have that on this cd called "my name is trance 2"...it's one of my faovrite songs on the cd.
  12. The first song Tiesto played at Exit. I dont know the name of it but it's also the first song on his essential mix and I love it. Also basically all of Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise 1 and 2 cd's.....i love those cd's so much.
  13. Does anyone know the name of the first song Tiesto played at exit? It started off really slow and then had female vocals. It's also the first song on his essential mix. I have it on that but I just want to know the name of it.
  14. sorry can't help you but I just wanted to comment on the eugina track....I LOVE that song. I was goin nuts when I heard it. It's on my fav tiesto album...In search of Sunrise 2........suuuuuuuch a nice song
  15. I thought the very same thing at first but after listening to it a few more times i'm starting to like it a lot. Sometimes I like a really mellow album just to chill out to....especially with a girl
  16. Does anyone know if Ferry Corsten ever comes to NY? If so, any idea when he may be here next? I really wanna hear him spin live.
  17. I just wanted to know if anyone knows approximately when hes gonna stop spinning on fri? He's coming on at 1 though right?
  18. I went there once on a "tranzworld friday" and i was very dissapointed. The crowd was kinda ugly and the music was terrible. To me it wasnt trance it was just boring repetative beats. But I think I would go again to check out Taucher.
  19. I definetely WANT to go but I'm not 100% sure if I AM going yet. But I need to know how much its gonna cost...is it regular price or more because of Scot project? and does anyone have any idea if the free passes form the limelight cd's will work that night?
  20. jccbebe.... I agree with everything you said, especially when u said it's going to be hard going to a club and not hearing him.... that exactly how I feel now. I feel like its never going to be as good as that night.
  21. Hard house def was not needed last night.....it was so refreshing to hear Tiesto style trance at a club. I was afraid I might not like it too much since it wasnt "hard". But after hearing him last night I realized it sounds so much better and even "harder" hearing it at a club rather than on my home stereo or even my car stereo. Whenever his songs stopped, got spiritual, and then just exploded, it was absolutely amazing...I couldn't get the smile off my face.
