Aria is my favorite too! It's funny cause people rave about Space in Miami and I really didn't like it there. It was allright but it was too dark for me. I hope the new place is better. I love the screens in Aria and the place does this weird thing the lights in the floor light up and the building looks like it explodes? Maybe thats just me but it would look like the ceiling would move up and down? The people are a little sketchy but we went there both nights and it was a blast. Fester do you remember the Cowboy? This guy was so funny he had no shirt on and he was all greased up and he had this cowboy had on and looked like he was just pulled out of the 80's and he had this whole dance thing it was so funny!

I was at Pulse this Sunday. It was only my 2nd time there but it was a lot of fun. They were playing some old school stuff like I beleive in love and let the sunshine in. There were a few people from Glocester there. I don't know how you can stand that drive!

Whats wrong with lurkers? I used to post on here but I only check this board once and awhile cause it's not that busy. I like to read what you write I think you guys are pretty funny but because I'm from RI and I have never met any of you that I don't really participate.

Wow I can't believe someone said it was worse than Pulse. I have only been to Pulse twice and that is more than enough for me and I live in RI. Tantra to me was not like your normal afterhours. It was very clean and the crowd was just like being at The Avalon. There were very few weird or nasty people. I really liked it and Rick Naples tore that place apart. I'm real sorry that I missed Chris P's set but I was so tired I couldn't make it past 8:30!!! The place was really packed and there were people dancing all over the place. It opens at 5:30 and I'm not sure what time it closes but you should definitely check it out

I saw him at Space during the WMC this year and he played an Incredible set.

I completely agree that everyone has their own opinion. The fact is that this person came on and trashed people and places that he had not even been to in months. When someone asks for information on a place he doesn't want to know what was happening six months ago. I value everyone's opinion if you can back up what you say besides this or that sucks. The points this Jon Stephan made didn't even make any sense. He doesn't like RI and thats fine don't party here cause we don't want you. Our scene has changed a lot in six months. I think we all need to enjoy what we have. I go to Boston a lot for a change and I will be in Miami in a week.

You are just too cool for me. I'm really glad that you still know the security at Metropolis? That will get you pretty far. Did you try and get a spot there and they turned you down because I really can't understand why you are bashing the clubs and DJ's in RI. Your whole post makes no sense because you contradict yourself. We may get Eddie Baez or some other joke. Eddie Baez is or was a resident in New York so why should he go to New York?? The same big name talent will play in Boston for only two hours also so when you have something sensible to say besides RI Sucks then you can let me know I think the best part about your whole post is that you suggest for them to go to The Fish Co.!!! If you hate RI so much than for one you shouldn't comment on it. This person asked for information on what is going on and where to go. He didn't need your trash commentary on how you hate RI!!! We live here and we deal with it. I never said we have the best talent around but just like Boston we have a 2 am curfew and we get really good DJ's once and awhile so we make the best out of what we have!! I think that our scene has changed a lot in the last six months for the better. You cannot compare Boston and RI to New York and I hate when people try to do it. It's two totally different types of scenes. I'm going to Miami for the WMC and I know that none of the clubs out there compare to RI but I can't go to Miami or New York every weekend. Your in New York and you love it so go comment on that

Okay geek... It must be a long time since you have been to Providence because Jimmy B no longer spins at Metropolis he is the resident at NV!!! Before you start talking about clubs get your story straight!!! Metropolis had George Acosta this weekend and the Warp Brothers the weekend before. NV is now Hip Hop on Saturdays. Please don't listen to this idiot because he has no idea what is going on in RI. For you to list Balleros as a good club means you are a complete moron. I don't even know if they are still open but the two times that we went there the place was dead. Starzz is no longer open for afterhours either. Pulse is gay for most of their nights but on Sunday mornings you will find that it is mostly straight. A lot of Boston people drive down to Pulse and they have one of the best sound systems around. In Boston the big DJ's usually only spin for 2 hours sometimes 4 it depends on the DJ but the clubs in Boston close the same time as RI.... There are not many clubs in Boston that get big name talent except for the Avalon and they usually have their big names on Friday. Get a clue before you start bashing stuff - Geek!!! :laugh:

What types of bars are you looking for? We have upscale types or just college bars. As for clubs the only one worth going to is Metropolis. On Saturdays they usually get pretty good guest DJ's. If you give me the date you will be down I will try and find out who will be there. All the bars and clubs close at 2:00 but we do have an afterhours club called Pulse that is open on Sunday AM from 6:00 am - 2:00 pm.... Hope this helps.
