my parents were never in this sort of "scene" but they met at a bar... and still married 30 plus years later two of my friends met at a club... not only did they just celebrate their 2nd wedding anniversary recently, but just gave birth to their first kid!

oh yeah.. ill have to check that out next time... they are sold at barneys and now bloomingdales and two brick and mortar stores just opened up - columbus near Lincoln center and 435 Hudson st. i love their avocado eye cream and the face wash is great too, but for moisturizer i am loyal to Philosophy's Miracle in a jar!

i met my bf almost 2 years ago at Float (that shortlived party when factory closed ) hahah not only was i not looking for a bf/relationshpi but i didnt even really want to go out that night, but had friends in from out of town. so all those tired cliches are true "when you arent looking, you will meet someone" i didnt even learn this until recently, but my parents met at a bar too. 33 years later, they are still married.

my last job i didnt have a dress code , and i wore jeans and flips every other day. it was great to roll out of bed and go to work. when i did mix in a skirt, people would ask "so where are you interviewing?" ironically i just got a new job and although the dress code is not as informal and i cannot wear jeans anymore (huge minus for me) i have made more of an effort to "dress the part." if you want to be taken seriously by your peers and management, then dressing to impress goes a long way.

to the ibiza veterans... i heard that they have closed DC10 and the beloved Bora bora... politics and the island residents are changing the island to be very non club friendly .. we were thinking of going back summer 2005, but after hearing the above we are thinking of going to the greek islands instead

why are the theme parties so close together.? halloween just passed and there is another theme party two weeks later ?? what a way to burn out a party

ill even admit that the sign was def adding salt to the wound.. but then again, they are just a "bunch of idiots" cant wait til opening day 2005. i am sure the yankees will feel even giddier at fenway when they raise the world series flag.

i made the trek back.. the parade was great. ive missed the patriots past two parades.. there was no way i was missing this. they extended the route last second into the charles river.. i wish there was a rally but they were concerned about managing the crwod. it was rainy but i didnt get soaked. and got a great front row spot! (thanks to one of my friends who is a cop and was working the parade route) i got some pictures that i will post when i get back to ny. I read the next stop for pedro, manny and david is DR, where they are also holding a parade in their honor. and they are even speaks of a world series tour with the trophy arond the country for the widespread red sox nation! (gasp, possibly even nyc) johnny damon (rip it sick!) is appearing on letterman on monday i believe and the whole team may be scheduled for the tonight show later on next week

except for our exceptional sports teams, boston blows. I moved from boston to nyc almost four years ago and have no inkling of returning

back when i was in junior high, my father signed us up to be like "nielsen' radio family.. we had to write down the radio stations we listened to, and wdhat time. lol i cant remember how much we were paid but it was like maybe $75 for the week i also do 'consulting" for investment firms. I bill a company by the hour to speak about my "area of expertise" My billing starts at $175/hour. lol which is funny bc the recruiter is like, "is this ok?" hahaha granted when i do get a consulting gig.. it really only lasts no more than an hour.

did you know that subway fares and the cost of a pizza slice are linked? lol somebody told me that stupid fact anyways.. i made the move from boston to nyc almost four years ago.. i will admit that it takes a while to get over the sticker shocks! but as long as you know what you are getting into and prepared! you can do it. lol i was even stupid enough to move here sans a job! (the goal: to land a job in fashion) and luckily i did within a week of my new address.

(answered my own question) actually curt schilling posted on there when he was being courted by the sox last year and was one of the deciding factors to renegotiate his contract to be traded.. he was so impressed by the sox fans - knowledge and passion of the game. he knew he wanted to play in a town for fans like us lol i met the presidnet of the NYC chapter of the son of sam .. he's no joke.. talk about a fanatic!! another funny boston fanatical website is http://www.bostondirtdogs.com/ but boston.com is probably the best source (besdies espn) for redsox info

dood. i think matt is getting robbed.. (either that or he's holding out on me) he never tells me about getting "tips" or perks. i usally get more "gifts" than he... holiday time my office is filled up with food baskets, gifts and candy from all of my vendors. hey... now.. i am sure not all doctors are like that. haha.. actually my sister works for a big health care company and she told me its more the hospitals than the individual doctors that make the big $$$$ demands.
