The real father is living in Detroit now and engaged to some other girl. I think that's why this girl and her mom are trying to get me to support them financially because they don't have the info for the real dad. Him and her went out for six years, then when they broke up, her and I hooked up. But he isn't working now, doesn't have any money, and he's never given them his info like his new address or his ssn# or anything.
A part of me just wants to walk away from all of this, but both her and I are really well known in this scene for our performances and shit. I just hope that this doesn't create a situation where people feel like they need to choose sides. I hate that shit. I've also been letting her store some of her shit over at my place since they live in this tiny apt in the projects. Plus they're only six blocks away from my place. I wish I had the money to move right about now.
I think the hardest part, besides the fact that I was so in love with this girl, was that I was there and watched this baby being born which just put my head into this daddy mindset. And since she was born on my birthday, it's just going to be a constant reminder every year with me wondering how this little girl is doing.

What sucks is this isn't the first time I've been with a girl who had me convinced that she was carrying my baby. Same bullshit situation happened about eight years ago. If I have a talent for anything, it's hooking up with the ones that always end up fuckin with my head and pulling me farther away from sanity.
My favorite part was the other night when her, her mom and me were all fighting. Then after all the yelling, she told me that the only reason she stayed with me was because her mom convinced her to and told her that I was a responible guy that would make a good dad. And then she tells me that she never loved me the way I loved her, so I get to dwell on the fact that our relationship was basically a lie. Lovely...

Well I'm sober now and still hating life, so here goes:
The little girl that was born on my birthday a couple weeks ago... Turns out she's not mine. I still want to be the father regardless, but the mother is living in the projects with her mother now and doesn't want to start a family with me. Although she does want to give the baby my last name for financial support even though I'm not the biological father, but I'm refusing to give her my name unless they both move in with me.
Since it was found out that the baby isn't mine and the mother and I aren't working out, a lot of girls in the scene are suddenly all up on my shit. I guess that isn't all that bad, but I'm really so pissed off with women right now that I'm just not in the mood for any of this shit anymore.
So a girl calls me up last night and she knows I'm pissed, so she invites me out for drinks and says I can vent to her. So I figure it'll be ok to meet up with her since I know that she's married and her and I can usually talk about anything with each other. So I'm venting and she's buying me drinks all night long until I'm good and drunk, and then she actually pushed me into the bathroom and started going down on me. Now I'm just more convinced that women are evil, and I'm seriously considering going the asexual route for a long while cause I'm so sick of this shit.

that basement room is actually pretty cool, though last time i was there i wandered down there in my drunken stupor and was unaware it was closed.. i was greeted by three large bouncers telling me to leave.. LOL
the system on the mainfloor is the one from twilo, and then there's another phazon system in the basement. the tech was really nice and put up with me also as my drunken ass kept raising the volume throughout the night.

i thought the phazon in the basement at shelter sounded good last nite. actually, that was about the nicest dj booth i've played in in nyc. definitlely not looking forward to the shit i've gotta play on tonite at flamingo east.

LOL I just found out that Louie Vega is gonna be having his party upstairs at Shelter tonite, while our party is gonna occupy the bottom three floors. Should make for an interesting mix.

Another track that popped into my head if you're into gabba was Angels of Darkness "And I'm The Devil (Noize Creator Remix)" with lots of Exorcist samples.

I spin hardcore once a month on Saturdays up in Harlem. I'll also be playin some hardcore on Halloween at Shelter towards the end of the night. Too early to tell what's going on for New Years yet, though.

I get requests all the time to play HardCreation's "I Will Have That Power". Almost makes me wish I had never introduced that track to the scene cause I'm gettin really sick of playing it now.

I saw some kids show up around 5am at the party I was spinnin at last nite wearin Sympty t-shirts. Didn't think to talk to any of them to ask them how it was. I was pretty much spent by that time after spinnin a couple hours of non-stop hardcore.

I believe it's genetics in my family. We're not obese, but we carry a few extra pounds since we descend from a long line of huge Germans and Danes. A good portion of my family are over 6'5" and over 250lbs. I'm actually one of the smaller ones since I'm only 6'2" and 255lbs. My younger brother is actually bigger than I am, but I've been involved in serious weight training since I was 15, so my shape looks larger than his. Luckily my family's frame is able to support our mass. Honestly, the bones in one of my knees is probably bigger than any of your skulls. Just the way we were built, I guess.

There's gonna be a lot of people dressed up at this party. And although the music is listed as industrial, goth, new wave and 80s, Rexx Arkana and myself will be spinning rotating sets of techno-industrial, trance, hard house, and gabber in the basement level. They'll probably be playing that other shit on the upper levels.

Thanks everyone. I just spent the last five hours in the nursery with the lil' squirt watching her make all kinds of funny faces. Interesting that whenever I held her, she seemed to be making evil black metal faces. lol She already knows what makes daddy happy. Then I get back home finally and check my answering machine. No congratulations, but instead they need me to DJ now tonite from 2-4, and unfortunately I need the money. So now I'm waiting for a phone call to confirm everything before I head back to the hospital in another hour. Then go back home to hopefully catch an hour of sleep or so before I head out to spin.
I suppose this whole "no sleep" thing is pretty much gonna be routine for the next few years.

Well, today is my b-day, and my only plans were to get fuct up. But my g/f had a different agenda, and at 5:18 this morning I watched her give birth to a beautiful baby girl. Definitely the most memorable birthday I've ever had, holding this newborn baby in my arms and absolutely melting. She looked up at me with this kind of "What the fuck?" look, and I'm assuming that she was wondering if I was the one playing all of the gabber/hardcore beatz for the past couple months that she's been punching and kicking to. That, or either she was thinking "Shit. My daddy is the Undertaker".
Either way, it's been a long night and I'm heading back to the hospital in a couple of hours. My presence has also been requested at FunHouse tonite at Flamingo East, so I'm going to tell everyone that was going to buy me a b-day beer to buy a second one for our daughter as well. ...I'll just have to drink it for her.

I really don't understand all of these new DJs wanting efx shit nowadays when they're just starting out. If they're just starting to learn how to DJ, I'm assuming that they probably don't know what the efx do. Let me know if I'm making a wrong assumption or not, but are these kids gonna know what cutoff and resonance or a ring modulator will actually sound like? Or are they just gonna be jumpin around in their bedrooms thinking how cool it is that they just made a typical house record sound something like FSOL with the track processed thru all of these random efx to make it sound all trippy and shit.
I mean, I don't have a problem with people experimenting with efx whether they know what they're doing or not. But I sincerely believe that they should learn the basics of mixing and reaction to crowd response first before they start warping out records just for the sake of them saying that they're using an efx box.
Either way, I might be totally wrong in saying this shit since I've got a couple of 40ozs. in my gut right now. But damn... Does anyone even start out on vinyl anymore, or learn the fundamentals first before trying to get creative with efx boxes and shit? Maybe I'm just an old geezer that thinks about the old days every now and then, but I'm still using the same mixer I bought eight years ago, and the only effect it has on it is an eight second sampler which I hardly ever use anymore. I've come recognize that most of the clubs I play at don't have the efx or gear I might use at home, so I focus more on being creative with the mixing rather than relying on the latest gadget that some company just put out.
I dunno. Like I said, I'm a little drunk right now. So I'd advise "your friend" to just get a cheap dual cd player and see if "he" can actually work that shit first before worrying about what efx box he's going to get.

I'll be spinning techno and hardcore on a Phazon system in the basement level of Shelter for a three-level masquerade-fetish party on Halloween night.
Although, seeing now that Oliver Lieb will also be spinning that night, I hope I get my sets finished in time so I can go check him out.
