I regret buying stuff rather than not buying something. I always tend to buy stuff that's really trendy before it becomes trendy. Then everyone starts wearing it and after a season it gets played. i.e. Gucci bucket hat (and I got a matching belt) Fendi purse w. the logo The little LV logo purse the stiletto Timb's (ok, I got the cheap version but still, I didn't expect everyone to start wearing them a few weeks after I got mine) I got all of these the season when they first came out and a few months later I see everyone sporting the imitation a couple months later. Oh, and I must have thrown out like 10 pairs of stiletto heels after wearing them once and killing my feet. Buying stilettos is always hit or miss. So what's the lesson I've learned....I'm never buying anything that has a logo ever again. But the upside is...30 years from now when im like 50, I could make a comeback w. this stuff, so I'm saving it. That's assuming I don't get fat.

wow, I just started looking online for furnished apartments in SoBe and there are so many options. It's more expensive than renting an unfurnished apartment but I'd rather spend the extra dollar than sleep on the floor. I think this is what I'll do.

I called the Mirador yesterday and it looks like a good place and it is not very expensive. Is this a good building? I have a dog and they told me they only allow pets in their midrise building. I also saw Roney Palace's website and checked the rent at apartments.com, but the price is a little bit steep. The apartments come already furnished, which is great. I'll be coming to Florida with just my clothes and am probably going to be sleeping and eating on the floor for a while. I don't know what their pet policy is either. I doubt I can pull the rent there anyway. I will check out the Decoplage today. Thanks for the advice. Oh, and what is a "Vespa"? Is that like a motorized bike or something?

Unfortunately, I won't be able to take a trip down there and look at apartments. I'm going to have a friend look at a few for me and pick the one he likes best. I will need a place to move into the day I arrive. I would like to be within walking walking distance of lots of nightclubs, shops, restaurants, salons, etc. By the way, how is the situation with taxi's there? When I was in SoBe I was either walking everywhere or had my friends drive me, so I didn't pay attention. Could I hail a cab there like in Manhatttan? Or do I have to call for one? Hi, everyone. I'll be moving to Miami Beach this summer. I want to begin apartment hunting soon but not sure where (geographically) I should be looking. I have only been to South Beach and like it there, but I want to consider other parts of Maimi Beach. I know it is about the size of Manhattan, and Manhattan has so many different kinds of neighborhoods. I don't want to end up living in the ghetto. So what are the best places to live? Cost of rent is not a factor. Thanks!

There are two little girls left from the litter and they are both so cute!, but I do not want two dogs. They are 3 months old now and will only weigh around 4lbs as adults. The puppy costs $650. Shipping costs $300, but two dogs can be shipped for the same price, so we would pay $150 each.
