for me this is definitely one the better parties I been to this year... DJJon basically already listed most of the reasons why I had fun....a surprising amount of bunnies in there as well...but last night was all about the music and the room. I see everyone comparing fridays set to mondays and honestly I look at them as apples and oranges. Granted same DJ and many of the same tracks, but the two different atmospheres really separated them for me. Roxy was trance for the masses to the fullest. Hi Tech Lazers, 3000 people packed in hands up for every buildup, pandamonium. Arc was more intimate. Seemed like everyone you knew was there. People u saw friday, people u havent seen in months. Sound quality was better BUT it was a smaller room. Lights were suprisingly stunning as well (my first time at arc ) Also at roxy he had 7 hrs to contour his set whereas here he only had 4...I feel stereo and the Lee Combs Pump Up the Jam break were unexpected treats as well.....The encores were Awesome esp for me and larry who are HUGE NU NRG fans-- Taub hit me up when u get a chance, I need to know about this carerra 2 Nu Nrg mix b/c i dont remember it Def nice seeing Helen and Irina (looking good ladies) as well as the rest of the crew and of course the usual suspects (aka the sick suspects--Roninguide and Larry Headcold) Nice job on troopin it down--deb sabina DAN WILSON glad u had fun bro, joeg, crobra, mikey a, jay, Dj Jon Disfcuktional, and everyone else PVD may have slipped to #4 in the DJ Rankings, but after destroying nyc friday and monday with a combined 4 encores and over $15,000 raised for a charity helping WTC victims.... he goes straight to #1 in my book. okay guy, normally I wouldnt even reply to this but you are getting out of hand-- Friday Nov 2nd i was at Roxy, enjoying one of the best DJ's in the world Paul Van Dyk. I stand beside my statement that I will not step foot inside exit unless Jesus Christ is on the ones and twos. Callin me a 'die hard exit hater" but like i've said before, I have reasons. I wouldnt consider myself a hater. Lemme break it down. YOU are a hater. You break my balls and never give a reason why. If you dont like me as a dj thats cool. Not everyone is gonna like me. But to take my picture and write 'gay' on it, okay thats mature. If everyone on this board took a picture of the dj they hate and wrote gay on, you wouldnt be too happy to see ur idol's pic with his sexuality questioned. I hate on exit but am not a 'hater' Exit has screwed me over in the past many times so i have reason for that. I have never done anything to you, nor do I know you. I have spun in the red room 4 times and have 2 cd's floating around entitles "Red" with some dope hard beats on em. But i was not there friday nor will i EVER be at exit again unless there is a signifiicant change in management or promoters or both. JR--I understand the 'beggers cant be choosers' argument 100% and thanks for the love. I actually thought a lot about that argument when i was offered exit's main floor twice a few months back.....but i decided not to do it and I would deal with the consequences myself. To everyone else who supports me, I cant thank you guys enough. 12 years I been spinning, working hard and tryin to get places. Skills only take u so far so to those of you who check me out spinnin on the net or come to my gigs or dub my cds for ur friends or whatever--you rock! To you haters, im sorry u feel that way and have no other way to express it. ummm yeah. I been feelin a lil under the weather lately. I def could use a nurse like that.......... or at least her medicine. Mike Bugout

PV Deeeeeeeeeeeeee Roxy was not roxy last nite....Hard 2 explain but it seemed more like a concert. Overall it was a bad night for me--and the fact that it was beyond packed didnt help. But i did stay till 6am for one reason only. PV fawkkkin D My first time seeing him and he was awesome. Opened with Taub 2002 and the energy in that place was the best I've seen it (prolly b/c it was the most packed, more people usually = more energy available) Definitely my favorite part of his set other than those reeeeeeeeeediculous buildups was the Red Hot Chili Peppers tech track (heavy glow?) then a funk-a-tron tech remix then Memories (rivera!!) then Obsession (filterheadz)...I got myself a nice spot on one of the speakers by the booth so i could watch PVD and chill with a beautiful girl, so I was all gravey. PVD's candor in the booth was interesting. Tiesto has a blast smiling all the time, dancing, interacting with the crowd. Cox dances like a madman, waves his records, and talks to the crowd. PVD is different. So into his music, he never smiled, or even made eye contact with the crowd, yet he still guestured many times for buildups and was REALLY into the music. Never stopped to talk to anyone in the booth, just proceeded to destroy whatever Carl left of roxy the night before. I always find it hard to enoy myself the night after I have a great night and Halloween was a great night. I thought the crowd was better looking thurs but then again i may be prejudiced by having half the girls running around in catholic schoolgirl uni's. My energy was at zero all night and the it was so crowded that almost everywhere u went u got knocked into (excuse me would suffice) But regardless I had fun and i think it was well worth my 40 dollar ticket price. Chilled out with Roninbored and Sabina mostly all night. Also nice to see Karch, Dmitry, Mike (happy bday) Alan, Arty, Steve, LinaBugout, Randall, Mindy, Barosoap, Justin and all the other cp heads. Now I gotta go spin, Im gonna fall over. Mike Bugout

yea dooood it was a dj club night..not a phish show... but seriously...if u could bring home every set u heard from amazing dj's...I think ur memories of the night would be a bit diminished....plus its the reason that keeps you coming back to see them again--- I like hearing live sets as much as anyone, but some things are better left untouched Mike Bugout
