It's just one of those things that has scarred me for life...

I don't know how badly your ex neglected you, so I won't say that you're wrong in this particular case, but... on a general note...

Women should understand that they are not the center of the universe. I can't stand a woman who won't let me pursue my hobbies because she feels she's being "neglected." People need room to grow OUTSIDE the relationship, too!

Again, tastyt, this isn't about your particular situation -- just a pet peeve of mine...

Yup, I had those cars that raced around on tracks too! I made mine go so fast they burned out... :)

    Micro Machines!!!!

My friends always had cooler ones than me though... the coolest one I ever had was the red Lambourghini...

  4. hahaha... yeah, they rocked! Today's kids are so spoiled, they'd never touch something that simple! (God, I sound like an old man...)

I never had any game consoles, but I did have a Commodore 64! Took like half an hour to load programs... a friend of mine had the Terminator game for C64, and if you died, you had to wait ANOTHER half hour for the level to restart!

  5. Remember those games that looked like video games, with a steering wheel? The picture of the road scrolled in the background, and when you turned the wheel, the car moved left or right...

I never did understand the point of that one.

    Yeah...

funny how those 3/4 just completely vanish whenever lawmakers and parents groups start talking about "ravers"

i love how people impose their own strict sense of morality on others, becuase obviously though we aren't bothering anybody, the mere thought that we might be having fun and doing something they wouldn't, is enough for people to want to ban that, so that we can sit at home and watch Survivor or MTV or do some other equally mainstream colorless activity that's parent-approved, boring as fuck, and "safe".

fuck that. don't take my parties away.

    EXACTLY!!!

I would be at that protest if I could... :(

LM: I think people tend to ignore stickys... I bet this thread would get more views if it weren't sticky -- and we could bump it if it ever got off the front page.

a lot of CP heads where there too that night, and I know you all heard him say that.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that! (Though I don't remember his specific words personally.)

who cares what someone spins. If it gets me going, im happy.

I absolutely agree. I don't understand the dogma that some people have over vinyl.

    Of course.

    *slaps forehead*

    Good point.

I guess I don't fear opening myself up like that (or rather, not much -- of course there's a little of that) because I know from experience that time heals the wounds and you come out of it a wiser, stronger person. That's my attitude about it, anyway.

the future is lasix..but not for another year or two...they say they can probably correct that eye even further than glasses can...we'll see...

Damn... that sucks. Consider yourself lucky, though -- my scarring (from toxoplasmosis) is on the retina... currently untreatable... :\

Reading this thread is making my eye feel dry!

Can you explain what you mean by "too good?" I find it *easier* to stay in good situations because I've had bad situations and I'm relieved -- not scared -- when I find a good one...

umm, why dont you get some normal contacts? no one uses those anymore.

I've had the same contact (just one, I'm blind in one eye) for years now. If I keep hydrated, it's not a problem at all -- they don't bother me constantly like they do some people, and I like not having to worry about buying new ones.

Besides, it sounds like plenty of people have problems with dry contacts, regardless of the type.

That makes sense. It sounds like he appreciates some of the features of CDJs, too, which he might want to use occasionally but not all the time.

I guess the main point is that some very famous DJs use CDs frequently, and there's nothing inherently *wrong* with them... but I think most people in this thread will agree on that point anyway.
