i think 75% of clubbers/promoter do not have a clue...

"Not enough substance, too much media exposure. That's trance." thats what u said exactly what is substance to a track here music, melody, bass, beat, and the groove. trance's groove comes from the lush breakdowns and melodies every style of music gets it groove from somewhere i guess u are saying all music with these elements lack substance make some sense man -
what amazes me is that those fuckin idiots who can not even speak proper english on the air i guess there idea is to tell you about the traffic in ebonics or something like that and the dance community cannot get a real dance radio station going

it amazes me when people make these statements about a type of music first of all stop knocking trance for that matter u can say that about any electronic styles its a beat some percussion a simple bass line and a breakdown whats that saying look at saeed and palaash.. one of there new ones.. i forget what its called but its got the hydrogen rockers on the flip side listen to that track same beat over and over same bass line same vocal do u seem me knocking it because its not my style no.. dickheads like xpander are obviosuly not educated to make these statements -

does anyone fuckin get the reason i posted this shit. its not just about trance. its about the scene in general. its a fact that there are very few parties left in nyc that arent about packing as many heads in the place and no vibe. yo look at the tunnel in 97 - 98 u had music like got the groove or baby wants to ride not trance per say. but shit man the vibe on sat night was awesome. all i am saying is that a whole community we need to get all the genres out there more. and i mean obviouly not every genre is goin to appeal to all audiences, but trance is probably the genre with the least following but the biggest potential in the states. yo the fact of the matter is this.. where do we get most of our music from. EUROPE!!!! The US producers in every fuckin genre cant compete. this is part of the PROBLEM.. THERE ARE NO AMERICAN TIESTOS, NICK SENTIENCES, FERRY CORSTENS, PAUL VAN DYKES, TiMO MASS, MAURO PICOTTO, ETC ETC THATS WHAT WE NEED THATS WHAT GOING TO BRING THE SCENE UP. GOOD AMERICAN ARTISTS! THATS WHAT PART OF THIS POST WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT -
yo get all over the bullshit that song is garbage and a mockery to italians the funny thing is that the guy dj surge didnt even produce the track he paid people to do it and ktu and louie devito can go shove it because those fakes are ruining this scene another example of how american producers are stupid

yeh but it would be hard to set people up from here with there u know girls are in shortage but there has to be nice girls out there i can recall this instant when i went to a party like 2 yrs ago in long island called beyond 2000 and i was pretty messed up so messed up that some girl came up to me.. started talkin to me and then ended up coming home with me and my friends needless to say she had lost her friends at least thats what she said but we were cool with that and we gave her a place to chill at. and then everyone was soo m essed up so we all went to bed well this girl turned out to be a major crackhead lol anyone else have a similar story? -

we should start a state wide search for all the nice and honest girls. and see how few we are able to dig up i think this is goin to require alot of research and motivation to get these girls to come out of hiding Kaligirl are u in? -dom -

why is it i cant find a nice pretty normal girl
buredf replied to buredf's topic in New York / New Jersey
a normal girl is someone down to earth and not fake etc.. etc.. girls that are not out there always looking for the juiced up guys or like the guys with super expensive cars and money u know people that arent fake on the inside -
i think i have looked everywhere and cant seem to find myself a nice pretty girl i look decent myself and i have met some pretty girls out there but so many stuck up and two faced girls. and then occassionally when i find someone nice, shes so homegrown that shes afraid to go out more than once a month. lol terrible. maybe other people have more luck or just deal with it. is there any bars or clubs in the city where like good but pretty girls hang out.

its people like dj shugga that help mess the scene up respect electronic music in general its like saying i am a rock fan and i want the music to be more heard --- so because im a creed lover fuck stone temple pilots. if trance is what gets heads into electronic than so be it and if its progressive or whatever other style than so be it dont go and knocking other styles -
sorry didnt mean to forget those styles

yo if richie hawtin really made the comment on that website he really needs to grow up as a professional in the industry he should not be knocking any one style. because the person who makes a stupid statement like that is only hurting the scene as a whole. whatever the dominant genre of music is in a certain area, kids should not go and knock the other music by saying it sucks. i say im tired of all the same shit over and over in the city but i never say a certain music sucks -

promoters should read this thread people should stop supporting the bullshit in NY -
if your plan is to do dance music any form of it from hardcore to house us Logic nothing matches it. cubase is good but the emagic synthesizers are unbeatable. so unless u have lots of cash to spend on hardware synths like the supernova, or the nord lead consider logic and if u can get the latest vers. really optimizes the computer code to allow u alot of instruments
