building 'em both will never satisfy them all... there will always be differences in quality between the non-smoking and smoking venues... where djs choose to go and what not.. it's not like you're gonna get pvd to spin two gigs to satisfy us all... it just doesn't work like that... by splitting up groups like that your automatically segregating... making venues for smokers and non-smokers just isn't a viable solution...

Yeah it is. In German the "y" is generally pronounced like a "u" with an accent. It's kind of an ewww sound.

Alex Gold... wow I wish I could go. This guy's a top dog at Xtravaganza Records, an awesome uplifting trance label with artists like Chicane, Agnelli and Nelson, and Cygnus, just to name a few. His set should be incredible. Also for anyone who was at PVD@SF, one of the best songs (IMO) he spun that night was Agnelli and Nelson's - Everyday 2002 (Alex Gold mix).... check it out on mp3. The whole place was insane when he played that. Alex's set should be awesome (if he can lay down some mixing skills, that is).

Is he really still coming? Nobody seems to be promoting the event. Does anybody have any cheap tickets or a guetlist to use (for 3 people)?

Pete Tong opened for them. Worst set I've ever heard. Either the guys set up was messed up or the man of Essential Mix fame couldn't pull off a simple beat match.... blech

Yeah that song was fucking amazing. The woman hummin sounded a lot like The buildup in Ratty "Sunrise" but the whole song was just at another level. I will find out what this song is.

Put him in Roseland. A friend of mine talked to him at one of his Vandit Nights in Berlin about that right after Twilo closed. He said he never liked the way Twilo was always packed and would rather spin at a venue like Roseland... hmmm... then he came here to SF. Maybe he wants to stick to the clubs.

That's right. I think his New York debut was originally scheduled for Twilo a week after it closed. Anyway, nobody should miss this event. This guy is the man when it comes to producing trance. His mixing is great too and he hasn't sold out to the progressive sound yet like Tiesto has (well at least not as much). Does anyone know how long he'll spin?

Alright.. it's 9:50 and I just got back from PvD. Here's a review.... I got there at about 9 PM and manged to get right at the front of the line. THe doors opened at about 10:30 and we quickly grabbed a couch to sit on until PvD came on. Luis Diaz was alright although not really my style. Anyway, by the time PvD came on the place was packed.. took half an hour to get from the bottom floor to the top. He started out with a selection of hard tracks which served as a good opening. Due to the crowds and heat, many people started leaving around 3. Those lucky enough to stay on the other hand were treated to an amazing 7 hour set in a club with a surprising amount of dancing room (in some places). Once he dropped that new track from Riva and Ralphie B's "Massive" and The 4 Strings remix of Blank and Jones' "Desire" the place went insane. After that it was just hours of quality with alots of old classics. We danced on the dancefloor hard until about 7:30 when everything just got too tiring... the tracks kept coming though... and after a few encore's he ended the night with "For an Angel." So pretty much if you left early you got screwed, if you stayed until the end you relived Twilo.
