  3. hey dave! mo' lunar peeps on clubplanet! they might need to open up an Atlanta board. welcome to the forum!
  4. i was 20 the first year i went. you're gonna be very limited to what clubs you can go to. its best to wait until you're 21. and i'm a girl too.
  5. hey athnsgirl, lunar peepz representing the CP!!! don't worry girl...me and sterling will keep you updated.
  6. Naked at Nikki!!! i wish i wish i wish! didn't like the radio one shiite. 45 minute sets aren't my cup of tea. and pete tong saying that derrick carter was the best dj in the us didn't rank high on my day either. the party with cassius, jacques lu cont, scanty sandwich and daft punk was great. i'm looking forward to the changes this year.
  7. to those of you staying at the riande and are familiar with underground collective out of NJ they will be hosting their event there and a few parties. i'll be at the royal hotel south beach on washington. can't wait! will be booking my flight this week!
  8. wicked. they should be coming around my parts again soon.
  9. right on! glad you enjoyed their show. how was the turnout?
  10. and every 'session' i've had with Vega, Humphries, and Patterson has been MAGICAL. besides, I have a pact to uphold concerning Magic Sessions. have fun.
  11. sucks for you! actually the official MAW party and Magic Sessions are two different parties. Magic Sessions=Vega, Humphries, Patterson, and a guest dj MAW=Vega and Kenny Dope's thing so you still have a chance to see Vega.
  12. Magic Sessions is on Mar. 18 at Crobar. The Chez Wave party will be during the day as well at Rain.
  13. i make it a point to see MMW at least twice a year. if you like your funk live then don't miss out! damn...i don't even think they come to SoBe much...so don't sleep my pets
  14. and you know this! i owe you a drink...or four...we'll make plans as we get closer to the dates.
  15. I also booked my room really early. I got a premium suite at the Royal Hotel South Beach for $600 from the 17-24th. Has anyone ever stayed here? www.royalsouthbeach.com It looks like its pretty posh, I hope it is.
  16. there's been hella talk about WMC moving to Vegas. i wouldn't be surprised if this happens in 2005. got my hotel already booked
  17. Duplaix is most known for his track "Manhood." The only track that makes me want to fuck anything with two legs within my eyesight whenever I hear it. Had the chance to hear him earlier this year. He doesn't like to stick to one style of music so don't really expect to hear a *dj* set. I was expecting to hear all deephouse, but he played a bit of house, rnb, and hiphop for his set. In other words, great production work, but no mixing. He was just playing records but I still enjoyed the tracks that he threw out. He does a lot of good production work with 4 Hero as well. He was here last month as well but I didn't go. Here's a good little biography and review of his DJ Kicks release. http://www.lunarmagazine.com/reviews/cd_vikter.html Digital and Phrank...when are you guys gonna come on over to UGH?
  18. Doc Martin has NEVER disappointed me all the times that I've seen him. He came through here last month and it was just a stellar night! At the end of the night Doc had not only 1 encore track, but THREE!! The last one he dropped was a mix of D-Train "Music"-"How can we live without muuusic! I dunnoooo, I dunnooooo!" Guaranteed to be a wicked time indeed.
  19. One of my favorite memories of WMC was at Crobar watching the drag queens working it to D from P. Opium Garden sucked though. Hope your night goes well!
  20. Yeah they seemed to be having a blast here too. But when its midnight and theres 25 people in a club that is just pitiful. Especially when there's alot of excitement about seeing the deejays from a lot of people. I just hate to see friends lose money bringing quality talent that should have more people in attendance.
  21. Tripwire and Stadius were in Atlanta that Thursday prior to coming to Miami. You guys think this event was weak??? How about them playing to a club with less than 40 people in attendance?? Actually it was probably half of that, but I had to leave early and friends say things didnt pick up at all. The guys who brought them 4 on The Floor Productions are doing their damndest to bring quality house music to Atlanta with very disappointing results. Everyone talks shit, but I realize that only a few actually give a damn, and give thought to supporting the quality talent that comes through. Keep your heads up and keep booking the talent! Nothing is ever easy... Cheers to phrankadelic!
