  1. are you serious or are you some lowly intern hired to post the most ignorant and stupid messages on earth, or both?
  2. when was trance ever bigger than hip-hop, you're either twelve years old, and don't know that hip-hop has been banging in clubs and people's rides for the past ten years, or you've been living under a rock.
  3. both are legendary dj's in the hip-hop game, Kid Capri is probably a better club/party dj, but Red's skills are undeniable.
  4. Remember though, Centro is on same block as Cheetah and Justins. I doubt any Thursday night club goers from Centro were exchanging gun play with anyone
  5. Its a perfect idea, and should be implemented. There's certainly a market out there for smoking environments, and businesses that value smoking as a way to enhance their cash flow should have the opportunity to tap into the market. Businesses who find the license too expenive simply wont obtain a license, and as you stated, a nice market will develop between smoking and non-smoking environments. Being that there is such a wide range of places to chose from as well in New York, consumers will most likely have a wide choice of selection regardless of their preferences.
  6. P Diddy certainly isn't out of the rap game, and I don't know what "brothas" you're in touch with my man, but most hip hop heads will tell you that while Puffy has never been a top rapper himself, he does his job well--and that's keeping the clubs bumping, bottom line. Of course its all about the money, its all about the money for everyone, why the fuck is he so different? I don't even like Puff as an artist, but I respect him as an innovator, if you think he's changing up his act and abandoning hip hop you're frucking nuts mayne!! He just knows that he has the ability to fuck with all genres.
  7. no dick, I was commenting that American's don't watch soccer, nor show interest in the sport as a fan in general, b/c of the supposed slow moving speed of the sport (scoring wise). I can understand if you think soccer is above baseball, fuck, most of the world agrees, but baseball is still the shit in my book. And to recant my enthusiasm from yesterday, METS SUCK
  8. you've got to appreciate the strategy and the game within the game to fully enjoy the sport. Americans are too caught up in seeing slam dunks and constant scoing (which is just a reflection of our culture in general), that is why more slow moving sports, soccer and baseball in particular, aren't as popular as basketball and football. In sum, eat a dick to baseball haters, and METS 2003 BABY!!!!
  9. Ask for Chris Willard at the door, say you're there for Rush's b-day party (first name Justin) shouldn't be a problem getting in
  10. Good looks on the link. Even the village voice noticed how bangin' that track was down in WMC, in its review it cited the track as produced by both Deep Dish and Puffy. You have got to give it to P Diddy, he constantly reinvents himself and knows how to keep his name and songs in everyone's mouth.
  11. capitale was amazing too, free top shelf all night, free amazing food, celebs everywhere and the space itself is ridic........as I was stumbling out drunk I went up to the owner of the Sacramento Kings/Palms Casino (one of the two brothers) who was co-sponsoring the party and said as stupid as I could probably sound "the fact that you write Chris WEbber's checks makes you top 4-5 coolest guys in the country"--besides wishing I could take that gem of a comment back, it was great night
  12. Are you related to Dan Wilson by any chance?
  13. There's a couple of them going on. I'm heading down to Capitale, hopefully a little less hassle than Tao.
  14. True, I can appreciate that........ So I'll even throw my 2 cents Meatheads: New Jersey, hands down. New York takes the title when Long Island gets thrown in the mix however Hotties: I probably even have to go the Jersey route here too, New York girls have too many alternate agendas on their mind. Music: No contest, NY has it on lock Intelligence: Ditto National Recognition: Much more respect repping NYC across the country, don't hear too many people get excited when you tell them you are from Clifton Park you know.
  15. went to nyc this weekend and a couple of weekends ago and can honestly say the crowd is ugly as shit compared to any hot nj club right now......ur all garbage keep living on what was good in the past.....just b/c u have quantity does not mean u have quality....not even close...... FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKK NYC.....maybe someday u'll get over yourselves.....but idoubt it Why are you talking about NYC like its some gang, we're the bloods and you're the crips, give me a break. You would think with all the shit that is going on, or could potentially be going on in the world that for once we could step out of our small little world and see a broader perspective. When you say New York is "ugly as shit," you're just making yourself look ignorant. I love Jersey (my pops lives in Teaneck), but I'm Brooklyn born and raised. And frankly I don't care if you come from Staten Island, or from Hoboken. If you're good peoples, you're good peoples.
  16. going to capitale---i'm sure i'll put up with the normal exclusive nightlife nyc bullshit, but ill get through it
  17. Little something from tabloids (I think someone else mentioned this before already as well) "Elsewhere at the premiere, screenwriter Victor Colicchio, who co-wrote Lee's 1999 movie "Summer of Sam," revealed he's working "around the clock" on a script based on the life of infamous New York nightclub owner Peter Gatien. Titled "Limelight," after Gatien's former disco, "It's going to follow [his] career right from when he lost his eye playing hockey in Canada to when ... he had all his problems with the drug cops in New York," Colicchio told Webster Hall curator Baird Jones. Lee will co-produce the saga with Gatien and may direct. " That will be hot if its done right. Maybe they can bring Richard Bey back to play himself and blow some lines off of the bar like the good ole days....
  18. not a problem---its rare that hip-hop gets mentioned on this board--got to jump at it when I get the chance---fuck, you know youre getting old though when people start referring to Fox Brown as old school hip hop though...... J.Z.
  19. I think youre talking about "take me home tonight" featuring blackstreet, was on her first album, Ill Na Na----
  20. haha, at least a few kids can hold it down for F L---still cant take that next step though and stick a needle up my ass...i'll stick to the tuna and the myoplex and the half ass results
  21. you can't knock that, mad respectable
  22. Fuck the bathroom attendant, who is doing coat check...b/c unless its "SuperSlut Teesha" this simply cannot be the best afterhours party in NYC..... P.S. Promoclubs...It doesn't help to promote a party to the "masses" aka "non-industry people" by stating how this party will be filled with industry people. Except for very few promotional teams, I think this would actually keep most away. So good luck filling up the room with super cool industry people man, give out free comps, and make no money...
  23. what's up kid, wondering how "big firm" life is affecting your nyc nitelife (if you're able to have one at all)...i'm sure your able to afford those $12 drinks much better, but are you able to head out to 46 st on sunday mornings is the question I want to know
  24. There is no passing per se with LSAT, you either do well or you don't. You have the option of cancelling your test score when you are finished (but before you know your score). Whatever score you do get though stays on your record, and is generally averaged in with subsequent scores. So, if you get a 150 your first time out (a really bad score) and a 160 (a somewhat decent score) next time out, schools will consider you to have a 155 (which is around the national average--but not that good). Bottom line is, don't take the test unless you are sure youre going to do well, and if you know you bombed after taking it, cancel and do it again. I believe LSAT scores are valid for three years (definitely check on that though).
