  1. dan---sorry to burst the bubble---but i think you relay info a little too late---definitly get an A for effort though kiddo!!! (P.S. you should check out this fire eater who basically has toured clubs throughout the world in silver costume, cannot remember his name off the top of my head---does a sick routine to that while
  2. that club was the epitome of bad news...got busted too many time for underage drinking, etc...I think the final kicker was when two sons/relatives of respected crime families tried to kill each other outside of the club...it was a pretty big story...besides that violence, drugs and alcohol were rampant...so i guess depending on whose view it's good or bad the club closed
  3. yeah, actually madonna is also half owner, they are thinking of forgetting phazon and everything and opening a cyber cafe...crazy huh
  4. he's one of those guys who thinks the world is out to get him, and doesn't appreciate how lucky he is to make 8 million a year for doing shit...fucking athletes make me sick when they complain how tough it is to be in the spotlight....don;t know about bitch slapping him though...
  5. Alright, this is fucking weird, but I think i know what happend, me and O-jay I guess use the same computer in fordham law library....so I made a post under his name...this is what i orignally wrote however directed to cp...sorry about that mix up o-jay, now I know why people have made posts under my name without me knowing it though... I don't really have time to read what was said in full...however from what I have read I will state this...I was asked my opinion about problems about the club scene, which I gave regarding "vibe issues"...I addressed nothing in regards of what it takes to "run a club" because those are not my concerns, I don't care how you run a club, and no I would be the first to admit I probably could not run a club...but who cares? that is not what I do, nor is what I would ever want to do...So tell me the Rock, how I should "know my role" by taking into account things such as hiring dj's and service help, when I am addressing a completely unrelated, separate issue? I don't doubt that you know what you are talking about as far as what it takes to throw a party, you could be mike fucking bindra for all I know...but that doesn't relate at all to my concerns for vibes that certain spots give off...and btw you certainly are not the only one who was at tunnel, twilo, LL, arena, USA or any other notorious now defunct place...so while I will give you the benefit of the doubt as someone inside the club world, you should do the same to people who make up the club world and pay your salaries
  6. as far as what you know, i wont speculate because you havn't stated your opinion or a response, but don't try to come off like the man and belittling others by stating their opinion
  7. that's crazy, she was just starting her new career with death row too....sad
  8. funny, i was just thinking can't imagine how someone with value for society or a heart could call themselves a republican
  9. this might have been said before above, but this is just my 2 cents. Except for a few select clubs who can pull it off and should pull it off, I think generally most clubs should cut the velvet rope, we are holier than thou act...Clubs run a dime a dozen now, the attitude that is conveyed by many simply turns many people off...I have been going for about 6-7 years now and to be honest the true thing that keeps me going back is the music, fuck the glam, fuck the bullshit, while dressing up, looking good all that is fun, its not what its about...I feel that a who appreciates the vibe and culture of true clubbing, and not worry about if leonardo dicaprio will show up will have a strong following---essentially that's what twilo was all about, and to an extent tunnel, and that is why people laud and mourn their non existence...as far as places like NV who still play "hide you" as their most recent track and who believe it is a privilege just to get in, well time will tell who really sticks around
  10. kid i feel for you, you are definitly at a cross road right now...if what you say about this girl is true, then leave her now...or you are worse then she is because you are allowing this to happen...it doesn't matter how much you think you love her when your having sex (although that pussy whip power is strong) you need to dump this bitch
  11. dL afterhours at limelight---think PVD is performing, but don't quote me on that
  12. look for eminem to drop a new video over the next couple of weeks...think its airing on mtv for the first time, and he dresses up like osama bin laden (always causing contro) he should be dropping his album in the summer i believe, and his movie, 8 mile is being released in may with kim basinger playing his mom, fuck i sound like i'm promoting his ass
  13. o-jay, who were your first year professors (excluding torts and crim law)? Hit me back @ jesse10403@aol.com if you could...wondering what extra tips/advice you might have considering how well you've done
  14. definitely talking out of my ass on this one, but new phazon sounds like perfect place for new PVD residency...
  15. I've been there before, not going this year...in the past though C2K in the venetian had good parties every night, Tenaglia , Vasquez, definitly new york scene--you will probably see flyers everywhere once you get off the place so don't worry about missing out on parties--however if you see flyers for pimps and hoes mixer @ house of blues, must go to that--amazing, if not check out what is going on at Ra (luxor hotel) C2K (venetian) Utopia (not in a hotel but close to strip, Kimball Collins has residency there fridays, and JP has been there on sundays) and always bet on black!!!
  16. depending on what your budget is, I would suggest Club Med...People might think it's cheesey, and in a way it is, but it's amazing as well....all the people that go are chill, perfect atmosphere for couples...not too expensive---for the week including airfare, and meals (which are fucking great--all you can eat of some of the best shit youll have) around 1000...not too bad, you just have to pay for drinks...I went to one in cancun and can't wait to go back but probably to another spot---turks and caicos perhaps
  17. It was said above, but i'll reaffirm, vegas is the place to be for memorial day and labor day, hands down
  18. I am a fan of cheese, the food of course, so I wont take exception..........this time..........actually if you could bust into my account some more that would be alright considering I need to up my post count....so good looks actually...
  19. yo SOMEONE MADE A FUCKING POST UNDER MY NAME< UNLESS I WAS COMPLETELY FUCKED UP AND DON'T Remember which hasn't happend recently, i never made that "I like cheese comment " above, what teh fcuk is going on ?>
  20. I think it has to do with his drastic change of style over the past two years, he was on the cutting edge of trance in 99 (alright maybe a little commercial, but still elevated it in many regards)...now certainly more break beat/electronica...but he has his own style and should be applauded for that, i have to say that the best show ive ever been to was oakie at ra in '99 @ las vegas, and i'm sure he can still lay it down
  21. basically you took the words out of my mouth, so cannot add more (as far as venues) except I would put arena up there also......however if you want to get a broader perspective (i.e. not just disco/techno though palladium and tunnel were certainly known for more than that) I suggest (a) latin quarter (2) union square (3) copa--obviously more hip hop spots, and can't say I was at all part of that movement--but certainly strong part of new york nitelife history
  22. Nick Warren is the fucking man...strongly urge everyone to go see him...
