Imagine Thursdays is kicking off at Tonic this week. It will be the place to be in the fall. We are also making huge efforts to step up the scene. It has 2 HUGE rooms so there will be no discrepency with the music. House will be played all night in one room and Hip Hop in the other. There will also be a $100 beer pong tournament ever week. We will be bringing in the best talent we can get. The more money the door makes the more talent we will bring. It will all be reinvested back into the party. The resident is Anthony Cugliari from the old Metro Lounge Thursdays. He will accompanied by guest DJs from all over. Names you know and love but not recycled DJs. With $1 well drinks and dometics beers and $2 call drinks and imported beers til midnight, you really cant go wrong. We are going to be opening up guestlists for anyone that would like to help out with this party. The place has the potential to be great. It all juatr has to come together...

They are doing 80's and crap now and it's not working. Bring in Nero as the resident with guests all the time. '99 was the shit at XS. We asked for this party and had it all planned out before the summer and it was denied because they were under the impression that this Johnny Buds guy was gonna draw a crowd. They need originality in there not KTU crap. They need an underground party with sick beats and an original vibe. I've been promoting for 8 years. The #1 ingredient to a good party is themes. It makes the party. They have to be original and motivate the crowd to participate. The themes draw the people. The music keeps them coming back. We had a full promotion crew and dancers ready to go and they didn't want to hear about it.I'm sorry the palce is dead but they should ahve seen this coming...

The music brings everyone together as you can see. The stage is set up so you can stand right there and see everything they are doing. There's no tricks or fancy cd or mp3s involved. Everyone who plays, plays with raw talent. Its more of a showcase than a party. In that sense its like a lounge and is being promoted as that. If anything its even a great pregame with $1 beers, $2 shots, and $3 drinks til 12. We may even turn it into an underground happy hour in order to showcase more talent. If you go there with the intention to chill and hear the upcoming talent you will have a great time thats light on the pocket. If your'e looking to G out, hear the same tracks you hear everywhere else, and go home broke, you might be a little disappointed...

I'm just proving a point that we have people that have played along side Richie at Deko. So why is he being hated on and Richie being praised? Gary and Richie are friends. I just threw Gary's name in off the top of my head. The competition is for fun. There's nothing to lose or gain. Richie is great and will always be. But just because its not at Deko doesn't mean they're any less talented. It's great to be able to pay a DJ with a name a grand to spin for the night. But when you have guys that will set up 3 turntables on a stage right in front of you so you can see everything they do it says something about them...

Ya the music wasn't really my style either but the DJs put on a hell of a show. The music is different every week. And all 3 girls have a different style so it will be an interesting mix next Friday. Hype woulda loved it last night. They played hard trance for like an hour...
