  2. I think you will find ozzy osbourne son has been djing for a numbers of years and although I have not heard him he is suppose to be good at what he does. He also gains no publicity from his fathers television show. cheers Zade
  3. I was listening to commerical fm radio station at work yesterday. This track and scooter were voted the worst tracks of 2002. I already knew scooter was bad and voted it in the post of worst track of the year, but then i actually listened to this j-lo track and yeah it is very messy. cheers Zade

    Hybrid

I saw them live at a club gig in early 1999. I then saw them at welcome 2000 and that was great. Even though it was such a huge venue they still sounded good. I saw them again late last year. They were good but they had a chick on vocals for one of their tracks and she couldnt really sing. cheers Zade
  5. Judge Jules played here a while back in my home town. The club has a capicity of around 3500 people. Only about 1000 people turned up. He has played here before a few times and I think word got around he is not really that good and plays really cheesy trance tracks. I didnt see him though so perhaps his set was okay. cheers Zade

  9. The acapella/vocal from a fine day by opus 3. A track that is over ten years old and still one of the most played acapellas that dj's use over the top of other tracks. cheers Zade
  10. I think the music taste in my country has hit an all time low. First of all scooter the logical song goes number one and then it is replaced by the ketchup song. I dread to think what will be the number one selling song in my country around christmas time when everyone gets on the novelty bandwagon. cheers Zade

  13. They use to hold them here on the docklands in the large warehouses however they are being turned into apartments. Not actually sure where but it will probably be held at either rod laver stadium or melbourne park. It is getting hard to find venues now with space big enough for events over twenty thousand people and close to the city. Gatecrasher comes to Melbourne Australia in jan and also goes to most major cities in australia jan/feb cheers Zade
  14. I liked gatecrasher the black cover however now the music is kinda really cheesy. It will probably go number one here and already target, hmv and kmart have the big posters and promo stuff for it. I do however like the gatecrasher parties and I cant wait for the gatecrasher world tour which arrives here in janurary to kick off our summer dance festivals. If only they would give the c.d's a miss. Quality not quantity is what I am after. Maybe I am wrong perhaps this one will be bettter!! cheers Zade
  15. Well I missed his set but mates said it was really good. I just read a newspaper article about him and he says he is from New York and dj's in New York. He has hooked up with Onionz and did a mix cd called nu-york nite life. I am from a town called Melbourne in Australia. cheers Zade
  16. The weather is getting warmer and so the parties have started. saturday night joeski is playing in my town and I wanted to know what he is like. Anyone here seen him play before? A mate wants to see him but I know nothing about him. Apart from him, godskitchen is in town with satoshi tomie and john oo fleming. At another club is judge jules and at another club is armin van buuren. Norman Jay and Chris fortier is also at a party across town. So i need to know is Joeski worth seeing? tell me your opionions!! cheers Zade
  17. Aint no sunshine has been covered by many acts. The last version here was about 3 years ago and was done by Rockmelons feat Deni Hines. It was a number one song. It is a slow version. cheers Zade
  18. I heard way out west perform it live and it was great. Although different from the orginal it still sounded fantastic. At the start of the year it went str8 in the top twenty on the australian top 40 and also had good success in both the U.K and some european countries. More top 40 music like this all day on commercial radio and I would be happy!! Instead of the cheesy scooter/lasgo stuff. speaking of top 40 it looks like underworld could go straight into the top ten if not the number one spot here in australia. I hope so cos elvis v's jxl has been on top of the charts for 11 weeks and if i never hear it again it will be to soon. cheers Zade
  19. Is it a cover of the old track by the U.K outfit The Beloved? It was a hit a few years ago. Not sure if it was in U.S top 40 though. cheers Zade
  20. I think some tracks will stand the test of time. Although it is a lot different in the 50's, 60's and 70'c compared to now. Now days people have access to so many different styles of music where as before it was pretty much ruled by record companies what songs would be a hit and therefore gain public recognition. The United States in regards to music is also a lot different to the rest of the world. For most of the world dance/club/rave music became mainstream in around 1988. In the United States its still pretty much an underground thing. tracks such as ride on time- black box killer- adamski big fun- inner city were released around 1989 and still get a lot of radio/television airplay as well as clubs. Mnay more tracks do as well with groups such as KLF or kylie minogue who were also around the 1988/89 dance music explosion. One of the most eagerly awaited parties of the year here are belfast parties which play old skool rave and club music from 1987 to 1994. They are awesome parties which are held twice a year. The last one I went to sold 15,000 tickets in just a few hours and they are always sold out. Although most club music will be left in a dust pile a few tracks every year manage to stay in peoples minds and this is why I think in so many years time we will still hear some of them. cheers Zade
  21. I think it would come under the genre commercial dance. It was in the top 40 here and most of the tracks are radio friendly. I prefer sashas album which i think entered the top 40 here this week cheers Zade
  22. Last weekend I attended the kylie tour. It cost 86 bucks for the cheapo I can hardly see her tickets. I am more of a going to a club/bar or rave type of person so concerts are not usually my thing. The best thing about her concert was the variety. She sang a few of her old songs, a couple of ballards, and quite a few songs by other singers such as boy george. and donna summer. She did one of her first ever hits I should be so lucky and it was one of the best trance tunes I have heard in about six months. I really liked the way she changes her songs so they sound so different when she does them in concert. I hope it will be released as a single. I saw janet jackson in concert and although visiually good, janet may as well stuck in her cd cos all the tracks she sang sounded excatly the same as her albums. I liked how kylie can change a pop tune into a good thumping club tune. The dj was pretty good as well. All the costume and stage work was amazing especially the robots. Her dancers were also easy on the eye. It cost me heaps but the concert was great. During the concert when she spoke she also showed a great sense of humour. I heard she has another remix album coming out here and in the U.K with even more remixers of her current hit fever. so if ya ever feel like doing the concert thing instead of clubbing i would recommend this concert cheers Zade
  23. I saw sasha and digweed NewYears Eve at welcome and digweed was by far the better dj on the night. The year before for nye welcome, sasha and digweed played, sasha only played a couple of tunes cos he could hardly stand up. I guess he was having a good time. cheers Zade
  24. fergie is a cheesy hard house dj. not coming from either the U.K or U.S.A I would agree with the reuslts of the top 100. The top 25 are regular visitors here. The most popular american dj's here are danny tenaglia, deep dish and Jeff Mills. The top 100 didnt include many breaks or dark house dj's whch is about the most popular club music here. I wonder if next year if this will be reflected. cheers Zade
  25. I went to an old skool rave on the weekend called belfast. Music policy is from 1987 to 1994. They are held here every six months or so and always sell out. Normally about a crowd of ten thousand people and quite a few times it felt like the whole place erupted with some of the old classics. biggest tunes would have been total confusion- a homeboy a hippie and a funkie dread a fine day- opus 3 brutal 8 e - altern 8 pennies from heaven-inner city 20,000 hardcore members-messiah keep on pumpin it up-visionmasters feat kylie minogue uhf-uhf humanoid-stakker humanoid papua new guinea- future sound of london sharp as a knife- roxanne shante acid man-jolly roger the bee-scientist last train to trancentral-klf work it to the bone-lnr sweetness and light- itchee and scratchee anyway one of the best parties I have been too. cheers Zade
