  1. I guess some of the most popular older trance tunes are is cafe del mar by energy 52 perception by cass and slide opera by cass and slide trance emotions- usura pete namlock the album hold that sucker down-rollo/ ot quartet cheers Zade
  2. I thought the track was one big yawn. It would appear most people agree. It just scrapped into the u.k top ten at number 8. It was expected to go to number one on its first week of release. Here in Australia in its first week it made it to number 28 and after only a couple of weeks is out of the top 40. The prodigy have had several number one singles and albums, I guess their fan base has changed music direction and perhaps the prodigy, after been absent for so long have not really changed at all. I heard the record company is now reconsidering which track from the album will be released next. cheers Zade
  3. I saw them do a live act about 6 months ago. They had a vocalist and everything. It was really good. About 2 nights later they djed at a club event and I didnt go, but it was suppose to be quite good from the reports I heard. cheers Zade
  4. Biggest breaks tune here is lovesong (this is not a) by G.T the dark alley heavy mental breaks mix is the most popular. It was a huge club song and crossed over into the top 40 a while ago. Still gets plenty of club play and commercial radio play as well. cheers Zade
  5. message was in regard to previous post by jetstreamp. Not suppose to be a new thread. cheers Zade
  6. Venga boys still going? I guess you would like a little less conversation by elvis presley which is the biggest selling single so far this year here. Deep and progressive plus Breaks is by far the biggest music here at the moment. Most clubs here are playing these 3 genres. I assume you like top 40 pop/dance. some bigs tunes here and i guess there would be southern sun -paul oakenfold this is not a love song- GT all i want is you- rockmelons people are people- richard earnshaw backfired-maw feat india fascinated- raven maize cant get blue monday out of my head- kylie minogue love story- layo and bushwacka these are all top 40 tunes and some have been top ten so should be hits in the U.S as well. They should be easy to find in stores there I would imagine. cheers Zade
  7. Well the usual hand out c.d's, become mates with promoters may work. The best thing to do is to head overseas. Clubs promoters/radio people think if you are keen enuff to head overseas it shows your committed. I am unsure in the U.S but here we have a government run radio station which is broadcast all over the country and it promotes new and upcoming dj's. I think england has one called radio 1 as well. It gets sent thousands of demo's every week however if you are any good you may get a 90 minute slot.

  10. That track is already number one in the U.K and Australia. Another novelty song, that will sell millions probably. cheers Zade
  11. Another chance was a number one single in both Australia and the U.K. A lot of dj's/producers have singles in the top 40 in both the U.K and Australia and throughout Asia and Europe. I saw him dj in Melbourne Australia about 5 years ago and it was a great night. Not seen him lately apart from being on video hits shows. His style of music here would be played at tourist clubs ie clubs which attract a lot of amercian tourists. Club music is mainstream music just about throughout the whole world apart from the U.S. Unfortunatly a lot of people see a dj in the top 40 charts and see this as selling out. DJ'S/ producers also need to make money to expand their art and also to support themselves. If you produced a track and a record company asked you to travel the world to promote it are you saying you wouldnt do it? Perhaps he is not crap but that your music taste has changed and you no longer enjoy his genre of music. Either way I think I would rather see a track by roger sanchez in the top 40 rather than some silly rock group in their mid 20's singing about an ex girlfriend back in high school. cheers Zade

  14. Lasgo are an act from Belguim I think. They were in the Australian and british top ten. I think they are about number 20 this week in Australia. Should be easy to find being very commercial. cheers Zade
  15. To any Oakenfold fans out there his new album has guest vocals from Nelly Furtado, Tricky and Perry Farrell. The first single to be released off the album is called Southern Sun and features aussie singer Carla Werner. Release date is 1 July. cheers Zade
  16. 1/ cant get you out of my head/blue monday- kylie v/s new order (a perfect mix of pop music) 2/this is not a love song- Groove terminator (an old punk tune with wicked breaks mix) 3/ believe - the traveller and in motion (club anthem given another remix coupla years later) 4/welcome-nubreed (well its nubreed so its gotta be good) 5/lala-land - green velvet (all over commercial fm radio even my mother hums along) my fave albums are dave seaman-global undergound (melbourne) (I live there I was their on the night so I guess I gotta love it hehe) and no nonsense- deep, dark, and dirty underground aussie club. compliation cheers Zade

  19. Maxi jazz is the guys name. He is currently in the australian top 40 twice at the moment. one track is called my culture remixers by 1 giant leap feat maxi jazz and robbie williams (number 30) and one step two far- faithless feat dido which is at number 21. Also last week a remix faithless album was released. It has about 3 versions of tarantalaaa and most of the other tracks off the current album. I think 2 remixers of we come 1. cheers Zade
  20. Although I have not been to the actual club yet but Renaissance in the U.K would be about one of the best clubs around. I have been to several of their clubs tours here in australia and everything has been spot on from the pick of the dj's to even the flyers. Their no cheese and quality production leads me to beleive this is one of the best clubs in the world. Sunny Side Up here in Melbourne is also a great club, a great and diverse crowd truly into the music, pushing new sounds, fantastic dj's and the fact they have never advertised equals a massive night. Many international DJ's regard Melbourne crowds the best in the world and I think this is partly due to having so many good clubs here promoting all genres of dance/techno not just what is popular at the time. cheers Zade
  21. I think i have seen Phil K about 10 times in the last couple of years and yes he likes the effects unit. Here he always plays breaks although sometimes deep depending on which club he is at. Breaks are massive here I guess alongside deep/progressive. His mate Gab Oliver has released a double mix cd a couple of weeks back I think with some nu-breed tracks on it. I think it was called no nonsense i can find out some more info about it if you want!! cheers Zade
  22. One of my favorite parties of the year so far was two tribes. It was held at Melbourne Park which is a large tennis arena complex in the heart of Melbourne. The crowd was very happy and fairly large with over twenty thousand people. Some of the Dj's were Dave Seaman who was the best there, Timo Maas Christopher Lawrence Fergie john oo fleming Dave Lee Speedy J CJ Bolland Johannes Heil Gaetano Pariso Ian Pooley Madison Avenue Phil K Nu breed Jeff Mills and about 30 other local dj's Two Tribes is a once a year party where 2 of melbournes largest rave organisors combine to make a party and the profits go to local charities. cheers Zade
  23. Well if its the gate crasher world tour with all the 50 + dj's and everything I would say go along and have a great time. If its just one international and in a small club, myself I wouldn't go. Then again nothing ventured-nothing gained. cheers Zade
  24. A fine day - opus 3 not over yet- grace cheers Zade
