  1. Junior was excellent last nite! great mixing....The vibe was good all nite. His sets have been alot better since his split with his management. Full of enegry and life. He has been working alot harder behind the decks. Good to see Peter Rauhofer in the house!
  2. and what the heck is with all this?? Jerome is now represented exclusively by nightlife impresario Dale Araten, who can be reached at dalearaten@jeromefarley.com. Susan Blackwell has accepted the position as Senior Operations Manager for Jerome and Dale's new joint venture, DJF Entertainment. Nicole Palacio, formerly of Coast II Coast Entertainment, is the exclusive booking agent for all dj performances by Jerome Farley worldwide (excluding NYC); she can be reached at palacio.nicole@gmail.com. Finally, DJF Entertainment is proud to announce that veteran publicist Brian Long will direct all Public Relations and Strategic Branding for DJF. The DJF enterprise will launch in April with Jerome's first album in 10 years, WORK HARD II, on Tantrum/DJF; also forthcoming in April is the launch of jeromefarley.com, the hub for new music, emerging artists, live sets and more. It seems a little much for someone just starting out. I know he was spining years ago but that was then and this is now. I think a simple emaill address where he could be reached for booking is more than enough.
  3. So do 5 million other dj's out there. The problem many people here have with him is he is trying to use jr's name to start a dj career. He started all the shade with these tacky flyer's. If he is so good let him get in line with the other dj's that want a career and if he's good he will move to the front. I dont get the whole?? "hello i am jerome farley" and i am the best dj so i should have a career.
  4. http://www.roomserviceny.com/ place looks real small
  5. Someone very special is supposed to be there tonite.
  6. I know he is looking to retire from djing soon and get into full album production. He just worked with Britney spears on her new album so i guess that's the direction he is looking to go. Who knows?? that flyer could also be a way to full all his up comming events leading up to that date. If he is done..its been a great ride and no one will fill his shoes any time soon. It could also mean it's the last pride party of the weekend.
  7. The problem with that is i dont feel that dt comes even close to giving what jr does when he is on. I could also go to victor like i did this nye instead of jr and i heard the same song played for 10 hours. Nothing creative at all! It just doesn't cut it for me and i like that Jr has a personality behind the decks. I will admit that not all the jr gigs are great but as a whole over all the years its been pretty damm good musically. He has 2 gigs comming to pacha next month...which i am sure will be good. I would at the same time like to see jr retire soon..which i am sure he will after this year.
  8. I think of bed sheets and house goods when i see this thread.
  9. I agree...Junior's set was really good at Stereo. I wish he would play like that more often. It was a nice treat to hear jr play like that.. it was a fresh sound...not the same old. It was one of my best jr nites of the year!!!!!!!!!! Its not everyday jr plays a dark evil non vocal set like that. the beats were sick!!!
  10. I went..i thought he was great! He played very hard and dark. A lot of regulars said the music was strange for a junior set. I live for jr when he plays this way...it was almost like he was angry about something and it showed through his music selection. There were some evil tracks played and this was supposed to be a classic nite....not that i would like him to play this way all the time but it was a nice change and definitely a surprise. I think the sound needs some work...yes it is loud and powerful but kind on your ear drums it is not.
  11. because they would not beat mix..
  12. They already said they are not going to shut it down early...but i would guess if someone as much as farts in the club it will be shut.
  13. The fact is that his sets are no better than a dj playing with 2 turntables..plus that is a huge waste of time setting all that up and a big inconvenience to the club that he is playing at. I much more enjoyed his sets before he got into all that comp. stuff..his sets had more soul and energy. That gear also will no doubt degrade any sound system that it is plugged into....you will loose the sound quality by the time in makes its way through all that stuff.
  14. From junior's manager Limited advance tickets are SOLD OUT! Come early for guaranteed admission since the house will be PACKED. Sol's THUMPING new sound is being tweaked just in time for the first BEAT at 10pm. Doors open till 4... I deserve you all an explanation regarding why there's a 4am closing time. Let me be clear that we may truly have to close at 4 sharp. This is why: this club is policed by the 10th Precinct, the captain for which has been strictly enforcing an almost-uniform 4am closing time at every dance club under his jurisdiction. So we adjust. But Junior promises to turn it...early. * * * * * Bassline is all about the MUSIC, and we're excited to showcase the Junior Vasquez Experience at this amazing new venue. Visuals and lighting design by Darren Kawa, who is equally excited about Junior playing for the first time in this room. * * * * * And for god's sake, don't forget to TOAST the birthdays of CHRISTINA VISCA and HOSH GURELI, each of whom has through their relentless support and pure genius, has kept Junior on TOP -- and keep the music PUMPING. We are proud to have them as friends and celebrate their birthdays with them.
  15. Is there any topic you guys don't argue about? its ridiculous! This is supposed to be a music/club board and its like divorce court. Speaking of rob promotions..this is getting to be like his old board.
  16. I am going to have to disagree about the part about him being he best dj to ever live. I know many people that were there and would say that he actually was not a very good dj at all. HE was more famous for knowing just what track to drop. Of course people from the past are going to say there time was best and nothing today compares...but i would say org. SF,Arena and twilo would stand up to that club. Can you imagine how popular Jr will be years after his death..i think it will be nothing in comparison. I am not saying i dont have respect for larry for what he did...but i think others after his passing took it to a much much higher level.
  17. That looks like it could be jr's mom in the window next to him...she would come to all the big events right up till she passed away. She would stand in that exact spot taping her hands to jr's beats.
