I have been looking through the Miami posts for a while now and i have bit my tongue many times and havent wrote anything but you really are a moron. I dont care how long youve been around the music scene but you have got to really STFU and stop spreading hate and negativity. It sounds like you always have to complain on the board and i personally think its because you need attention and wanna feel superior to everybody else. You may think your smart but from what i see, your NOT!! You may have knowledge but it dont mean your smart. I have been around the scene for at least 6 years and even though the parties are not what they used to be, i still have the same excitement and love for the music i had when i was first introduced to it. As long as i live, house music will kick. Thats what keeps the scene going in my life. Maybe its time for you to quit the and find something else that doesnt get your panties in bunch every time things dont go according to your standards. Another thing, why do you compare the scene so much between here and there. Music is universal, its not exclusive to one place or certain people. The only thing that differentiates the scene is laws but we do what we can with what we have. Peace

Hes a house DJ and its banging house not like the usual proggy DJs at Spundae. Lately they have been booking more House DJs in the main room than before. I guess the progressive sound is starting to die down.

The line up isnt too bad. What bothers me is that it will end at 2am and its way out in San Bernandino. I hate ending my nights out at 2am so i rarely go to clubs that close at that time unless its a weekday. So an afterparty would be nice but driving from SD to SB to LA to SD seems like way too much driving for a holiday weekend.

I read somewhere that he got food poisining and screwed up his USA dates so hes playing in Boston that day now. It was his management company that decided he will play in Boston and not SoCal since he hasnt played there yet. Im still going since i already bought my tix and wouldnt mind seing some of the other talent that has been confirmed.

I might go but im not sure yet. If you already know your going you should get presale tickets. That way you dont have to wait in line or pay full price. If your staying in the Santa Monica area, its about a 15 minute drive. You should definitely check Spundae out. It has such a great vibe.

You dont want to go to san diego if you want to party. Go to LA or San Fran.

The renaissance hotel is a good choice. I have stayed there before and there is so much to do during the day if you are also interested in things like shopping, movies, restaurants, pool. Its been pretty hot these couple weeks so if you wanted to go to the beaches, there about a 20 min drive. As far as clubbing, i can only tell you about the places i go to but there are many more clubs. It all depends what kind of scene your looking for. Im a music head, so deciding where to go for me is more like deciding what dj i want to hear spin. RED has Uberzone live this friday. This club is Downtown LA though. Its not too far from Hollywood - maybe a 15 minute drive or less. Wax@TheLarchmont has LARRY HEARD on Saturday. Its House music all night long. Spundae@Circus has Charles Feelgood, Nigel Richards, Todd Prophet. I think you will like this club alot. It is big, friendly vibes, and good music. Hope this helps

ID checks are strict in LA but there are some 18+ clubs you can start with and within a year you will be able to go anywhere else. I think but im not sure (weyes help me out here) that Red is 18+, some events at the grand are 18+ like Futurehouse. Do a little research and find out which clubs are 18+ and what kind of music they play and go there for a year. Plus im sure youll make friends who are in the same boat as you in these places. hope this helps;)

lomenus - alcohol is no longer served after 2am. Clubs are still open. Depends where you go but its usually between 4 - 5 in the morning. Then we have a couple after hour spots that close between 8 - 10. LA wack - i dont agree. We do what we can with what we have. Even though we dont have a place with 24hr liquor license, we do have a massive amount of locals and tourists filling our clubs and a very unique and friendly vibe.

I have never had a problem getting into the club quickly with presale. Its usually when DJs like Tiesto and Armin come to Spundae that it gets superpacked - so i stay away from those nights.

I am anxiously waiting for there show in LA next week. Sounds like its going to be an amazing night.

I didnt think there would be another one either but the flyers were going around EDC. Since then, they have announced the location and hours. It sucks that they have to end so early now but im just happy that its still going on. I guess well have to get used to it being this way now. The incidents of 2001 suck. I just hope that people learn from things like that and act more responsible.

Oakeywas in Los Angeles a week ago and put on a good show. Even people who were not really into him gave good reviews. He also bought tickets and gave them to clubs to give out for free. Price was $11. Last year it costs $35 to see him. I wondered why?

Its still too early to tell whats going on for those dates. Dont worry though, im sure there will be something worthwhile. Saturdays i recommend Spundae, Giant, or Wax Sundays i have only been to Deep but im sure there are other places to go. There are some new parties but i havent been to them yet. Where are you coming from?

Even though i have only heard him out there in Miami i appreciate Please come to Los Angeles someday soon and drop some of those phat tribal beats for us! If not, ill be in Miami once again this year before 2004.

Is anybody planning on going this year? It hasnt been announced that it will be at the SB Orange Show but if you look at PVDs site, he is scheduled to play there for NW. I went to EDC just a few weeks ago and wasnt too impressed with the venue. I am still going but i wish they would have found a better place for it. Also sucks that they need to close down by 2am

I was just there a couple months ago and it wasnt that bad because it wasnt completely packed. I went a different time when it got packed and i could not stand it. I hope they clean the place up because it was the filthiest club i have ever been in. Even though it was hot and dirty in there, the DJs and the vibe those nights made it worth my drive from SD.
