  7. yup. alan can't stay away for too long what i'd like to do is have a showcase for him DJing and his artwork. that would be wicked. we'll see...all talk right now...time for action.
  8. yes an amazing album. minimal but so beautifully engineered, it's a marvel. and lilliz, not to worry. it's only a matter of time. there is a small, but growing techno community here in miami. with guys like armando, eric, myself, and a few others, we're working toward being able to bring down guys like richie and carola. years ago, richie used to come down here fairly regularly. it'll happen again. i'm acutally getting dates for bryan zentz and alan oldham (dj t-1000) to come down for my saturday night @ maze. def. head out and support armando and eric's friday night and my saturday nights (starting next saturday). we'll get you your dose take care, stryke
  9. LFO - Sheath (Warp) Plastikman - Closer (M-nus/Novamute) Murk - Murk (Tommy Boy) John Beltran - Pictures & Indian Summer (Ubiquity/Feb. 2004) Seal - Seal IV (Warner Bros.) John Mayer - Heavier Things (Sony)
  10. lol...funny, that's what a lot of people think of when they hear the word "techno." i'm not going to try and give some long discussion on what techno is. techno is a lot of different things to a lot of different people. better that you hear it for yourself and see... there's a dj mix of mine from a few months ago which is mostly techno, it's called the ongaku sessions vol. 1 in the download section. get it here... www.signalcommunications.net also, you can go to adam beyer's label site (he's one of the biggest techno guys worldwide, and his label drumcode is considered one of the premier techno labels). his site has a full dj mix from sweden's joel mull which is all techo...hear it here... www.drumcode.se. any questions you may have, please feel to PM me or come out next week and hang out for a while. one of my missions in life is to prove that techno guys (and girls - man, techno girls are sooo sexy) are not the stuck up, elitist, highbrow idiots that some people think we are. hope to see you all out there starting next sat. lots of good stuff to come paz, stryke
  11. def. go out and support these 2 cats! armando and eric are both top notch (great cd btw eric...been listening to it in the car non stop). wish i was here to support, but i'll be there in spirit.
  12. i think some of you are missing the point. we're not trying to rip off consumers...yes, a lot of labels are charging too much for the media, i agree there. but is stealing it going to make it better? no, it's going to make it worse. it's basic supply/demand...right saleen?! tell you what, how about me and craig come to some of your jobs, punch you in the face, steal shit from you, and then try to be your buddies after that. in essence that's what you're doing to us. we have to eat too!
  13. thanks craig, i got this in my email last night, and went to town already. thanks for posting.
  14. btw, the whole thing about "being famous"...also a joke. did you get my pm w/ my addy?
  15. in the words of andy kaufman, "thank you very much." aj and i are just playing stupid april fools jokes on october 8th. we are still very much in love and can't wait for the laws to change so we can finally share our love with the world (umm...that's a joke too). and when do i have a hard time saying thank you!? and i wouldn't say aj has a drinking and womanizing problem, i'd say it's more of a skill
  16. ahh, so that's what seperates the men from the boys! i knew me not posting on international forums and boards was why i'm famous everywhere but here! LOL LOL LOL  as for AJ, i won't even waste my breath! you're goin down sucka!!
  17. look here you womanizing man-whore, get to work and we'll talk about being appreciative! you've been riding my sexy ass coat tails since day one beeeeaaaayyytttch! you breaks loving, johnny walker drinking, jockin my tip, bunghole! you wish you could half as good as me. you're pathetic! to think i was going to name my dog after you...no such honour for you my little friend!
  18. except i truly do know the fine art of wine my friend, and you haven't the first bit of knowledge of the fine art of mixing the beats that are phat. WHO LOVES YA BABY!!!! true, i'm not a big drinker, but i do love a good glass of wine with a good meal, soome excellent dinner music (Chopin, Debussey, Global Communication, etc...) a good cigar (Arturo Fuente Natrual, Corona), and a beautiful woman to hang with from time to time.
  19. I'd recommend a bottle of St Emilion Grand from Chateau Jean Voisin from 1999 (Bordeaux, France). It's an excellent red with great texture and smoothness. It's a medium body red with a hint of light fruit as it first hits the pallette. It's great by itself or with red meat. You're looking at somwhere around $22 a bottle. If you're just looking to get sloshed on an overall good tasting, inexpensive wine, go for the Rosemount Shiraz(Australia) ...cheap, sweet, and goes down easy! That should be somewhere around $12.
  20. hey all, i don't know how crazy i am, but i've decided to start recording a new album. i'll keep an open diary of the progress on my website if anyone's interested. as time goes on, i hope to add song samples, pics, and maybe even a day in the life video or some boring crap like that... http://www.signalcommunications.net/albumdiary.htm http://www.signalcommunications.net paz
  21. well, you guys know how i feel about these guys already, so this is 100% totally biased. But, the guys ripped it and once again gave me a feeling of faith in Miami and what we have to offer music wise. It was an honour engineering Oscar's live CD. i wish you all could have heard what i heard through my headphone monitoring during the night. the crowd was loving it, and you'll see what i mean when the double cd gets released. there's a lot of love in that 2 disc set. anyway, both oscar and ralph were excllent. i don't think i've heard ralph play so hard (and i love it!). on another note, it's obvious to me how much care and love louis puts into his club. he himself was eqing the system when we got there during the day to setup the recording rig. during the night, he was a gracious host, and was always making sure that the sound was good and right. say what you will about this man, but i can tell a genuine love for that place. anyway, i hope you all support the new murk album by actually purchasing it, not downloading it! i could use the money! seriously, hope you all enjoy the album, the guys did a fantastic job. i'm proud to be a part of the album and proud to be friends with these guys. much love, choy
  22. ok ok...aj and andrew...kiss and make up first of all, let me say thank you to eddy, maze, and maze for making this happen. i really look forward to bringing some new energy to our music community. you all know how passionate about techno. however, i'll never be passionate to the point of being elitist or negative towards other genres of music. this night will need your support. please come out with an open mind, and a good attitude, ready to dance and have a great time i think i may even decide to step into a promotion role to bring some international techno talent down here. i've already been on the phone w/ a few people and things look promising. let's do this much love y'all, choy
