I hope you are all able to come out and support this event and learn more about the Academy and our new category. This is our chance to prove that the music we love so dearly has a valid place in the world of all music. We have a real oppurtunity here to have our voices heard.

fable's great. played through a bit last night. however, for an RPG, it's pretty short. but there is some value in the replay i think. peter and the rest of the lionhead staff put together a hell of a game. can't wait for his BC and The Movies games. november 9th is coming!!!!

this is sad to hear. terry is indeed a very talented dj. i do, however, know of his reputation not to show up. i've actually been booked with terry several times around the US and he's not shown up to more than half of those gigs. i was in st. louis a few months ago to teach at a red bull music academy satellite that was going on there, and apparently terry was booked at a party there a few weeks before and was a no show again. i spoke to the promoter, who had booked terry. he said he actually got a call from terry because the promoter didn't want to book him, but his agent talked him into it. the agent apparently was telling the promoter that terry was going through some family problems, etc... but that all was well now and that he'd show up. terry allegedly even called to quell the promoters fears. however, from what i'm told, terry was again a no show. i do hope that whatever terry has going on in his life will be remidied. however, you can't keep letting fans down like this. i've gotten on planes after friends and family members have died, i've gone to clubs while i've been so sick, i could barely move, and have done gigs when there was other intense stuff going on in my personal life. that stuff is never the fans fault, and they shouldn't suffer because of it. you get in that booth and forget that stuff exists and give the crowd the best show ever. period. man up terry. you're too talented to ruin your career, but i fear it may be too late...

lol... guess i'll come out of hiding to help someone in need... as far as the scene, it's not really club based, but you should check out a local bar called ocho puertos (8 doors)...cool vibe and good people. as far as food (my favourite!) check out neptunos (great resteraunt on the water) and a fab crepes resteraunt in la zona colonial (colonial zone). as far as clubs, check out abacus. if margaritas is still doing it's chillindrina night on sunday, head there and find eddie (grabolio). tell him stryke sent you and you'll be well taken care of. hope this helps. have fun and tell everyone i said hi! stryke

who said anything about techno at prive? geez. just when i was comfortable with no more club planet in my life, i have to go and defend myself once again. i'm not playing techno @ prive. i don't ALWAYS play techno. geez. those of you who really know me, know my diversity. but, whatever...as for waxing oscar's car, that's your job. and yes, i did move to a new house, and am moving the studio, etc... the prive gig is an industry party thrown by the florida chapter of NARAS (the grammys). i have been a voting member of NARAS for a couple of years now. more news on stuff coming up soon... saleen...oh what's the use...forget it...

...me... now, before everyone gets their CP panties in a bunch, let me first say that the idea of a school to teach DJing was a joke to me until earlier this year when i was asked to speak at the SAE DJ school in North Miami. What I witnessed there were kids (and adults) who were truly passionate about DJing and wanted to learn as much as possible. I have since removed my elitist attitude toward learning the skill of DJing. DJing is a skill which can be taught and learned. It's what you do with it as an individual which sets you apart....that can't be taught. However, I'm happy to give back a little of what I've learned over the past 16 years (that's right...16) years of DJing back to some people who want to know....so... classes begin 2nd week of jan...you can call the school and ask for Chris Schafer for more info... ok, let the CP bullcrap of talking pure s**t begin!

yeah, great stuff. the whole naples crew is doing some wicked stuff. i own and play the entire discography of all those guys. and now, christian and tronic have joined up w/ ELP in the wake of the prime dist. closing. should be an interesting next few months to see where all our labels go...
