  1. Really sorta hard <sad> to read this thread cuz Im gonna miss Teatro. I hope that Vegas understands the need for a small ultralounge with no door drama that you can pop into for afterhours just for a few hours and decent priced drinks that is center strip and has a hand stamping effortless re entry policy. Moreover when its coupled with 1-3 bars that pull in an average to great crowd all within 400 feet of the spot, its wonderful for the clubgoer like myself that likes to pop around all night. I remember one night that I met a few, and couldnt find a few other lol, cp peeps I was running in and out and in and out of Teatro for almost 3 hours one night, running down the hall to find em, back in Teatro, out of Teatro.
  2. lol. I dont think the lamp turns on. It's not on here. It could provide such wonderful mood lighting for the shot if its on. But alias, its off..... ... and dont come back the lamp works but they didnt pay the electric bill. lol
  3. True. But that lamp wouldnt last that many years unless it's McGvyer's house.
  4. King King tonight. Best house music scene in Hollywood this Friday. Will pm you the link to rsvp directly. $10 b. 12 midnight tonight. Ton of people are going.
  5. Thats really sad. Teatro (as you can see from quite olds threads) was right after OPM cerca 2004 the venue that I first felt "comfortable" at because the staff was wonderful, from door of course, to the bartenders who were amazing both in how nice they were / how reasonably priced the drinks ($8 for mixed drinks) were / how they looked forward to coming back night after night. I felt comfortable because they made me feel comfortable. That is always priority #1 in my book. I dont care how hot your venue is or how much a bomb it is - if you make me feel welcomed, I will return. The venue was great in that walking through MGM to and from (and from and to lol) Centrifuge it was always easy finding chicks that said "where can we go for afterhours now" .. and you said, just down the hall. The "just down the hall" approach to nightlife is not always there in Vegas that has you cab'ing here and there. Teatro was always down the hall. And there was something special being able to find - for some reaason always OC chicks lol - wandering out of Tabu or 54 asking "where to go" and you would just say "follow me, Im on my way back". It would be good to hear some people's favorite stories about Teatro. Here is one of mine. One of the very first times I happened into Teatro, and I dont recall why I ended up there, I sat at the bar/catwalk and relaxed. Now, in nightlife, you see lots of money being thrown left and right often. Well on this night, the 35ish dude that was sitting next to me threw a wad of maybe 30 x $20 bills for the first dancer when she was done. I didnt think anything of it. The next dancer, he did much the same with 50s and 100s. And then the next dancer. And then the next dancer. Finally, I cant recall how he and I started talking, but I wanted to know what was up. Turns out this cat, who happened to be one of the finest mofos you would ever hope to meet on a trip, confessed to me (as the sole person apart from his mom) that he had won $35K at three different casinos in the last 2 days. And he was living it large. And boy did he ever. The next night he was there again. He confessed he came from a prominent NYC family and hence money was not a neccessity, owner of many restaurants and consultant to others. A deeply private and guarded person who for two nights allowed himself and the flying bills to be seen. I cant recall how much he threw down to those dancers those two nights - but it was raining major, major bills for two nights after each dance for hours with the crowd going to wild from the green falling. And the reason he gave to them, and the cocktail waitress, and comps to everyone he met those nights he befriended, was "just because". "Just because" is what he said. I never knew how much he threw down in Teatro those two nights because it wasnt important - it wasnt important, rather the magic he created with his generosity was paramount. Vegas is all about that type of sureal magic. And for two nights, that magic was at that catwalk at Teatro, a memory I will never forget.
  6. Go to Seamless at 4 am. (Of course, lol, only the true heroes of stamina can party from afternoon Sunday nonstop at Rehab at Hard Rock to Tryst at Wynn / or BE at HR to closing at 9 am at Seamless Monday morning. Yet again ... for people that live in neighboring markets, coming in Sunday, getting a lineup this good, and the best priced rooms on Sunday for the week, and stumbling back to the airplane Monday afternoon - thats pretty hot.... but then again .... ... if you are really nuts / out your mind / motivated / have amazing stamina / other for great music and people, you'll come in Sunday at around 2 am, do Empire Afterhours, then Drais, then check in to your room, then sleep, then Rehab, then Tryst, then Seamless, fly home, sleep afternoon Monday to Tuesday morning, then go back to work back home Tuesday morning )
