People arent stupid. The name was intriguing when it was in NYC with Steve Rubell & Ian Schrager when it was a circus act of decadence and free spirit. Rubell ... Schrager ... the hanging spoon ... are all gone from 54. And hence should be the name.

As everyone knows on the boards, Teatro is still one of my favorite spaces.

Even #1 venues never do ... or admit to do ... a expansion to their walls. They do a head to floor remodel, and they make it a point that you know iit and talk about it. Sometimes only cosmetic, sometimes functional (new sound/light system), sometimes space changing (new vip areas). But a wall expansion is laughable in the industry.... like saying you changed the lightbulbs over the bar. Id give a dollar for venues that everytime you show up the wall is there, then not there, then there again -- and thats being sober lol.
