 ... James I wouldn't have missed JL's 1st non-WMC gig in Miami for 7 of those
Hope your having fun pal ...

I'm recovering from two nites in a row of partying ... but should make an appearance tonite ...
-
After almost two years from his famous Essential Mix of 2001, Sander will be the guest tonite @ Radio 1's essential mix ...
It is a studio mix ... should be HUGE ... :D:D
Thank you once again Space 34 for booking this guy down for July 5th ...

it's not to often I head out on Fridays, had some friends in town so I figured what the hell. we hit Maze first killer vibe, Ralph tearing shit up on the decks.. Madd females in da house. big ups to Eddy, and thanks for the hospitality. dropped by Nerve for a bit, all I can say is Jonathan Lisle is a badass. never heard him before, but damn the man can drop some sick beats. very Digweed in his style; nice build ups, then he just lowers the bomb. Jonathan Lisle can destroy any club down here, please bring him back. big thank you to Marcos.. you have a good thing going at Nerve Marco; keep up the good work bro.
Jimmy T owns Lime Bar, nice beats as usual from Jimmy.
definitely a good night out, I really need to get more often on Friday’s..
nice seeing CP folks out and about..
Thank you for showing some love Tony ... very ... very ... very glad you liked the music last nite ...
Jonathan will be back soon ... I promise you

Damn ... I can barely think of coherent words to describe what Jonathan Lisle did last nite at Nerve ... It was one solid set ... 180 minutes of some of the best music I’ve heard in Miami ... recorded by Proton ... lets hope the recording came out all right ... the bass
could have affected the recording even with the towells underneath the MD ... tell me it is OK Geoff!!!
Thanx to the many Cpers who showed some love to P:M Sessions last nite ... it means a lot to us. The goodies were short in quantity ... never thought they would fly in less than 1/2 hour ...
I resume what I felt last nite ... this dude was dancing his @$$ off most of the nite ... at some point he starts talking with Carla ... they both turn towards me and Carla mentions he drove all the way down from Boca ... “thank you so much for bringing Jonathan Lisle down here, never thought I would see him ... as soon as I learned from it I just drove down ... he is the sickest dj ... are you guys bringing down Phil K?†
When I find comments like this it just gives me goosebumps ... last nite the cream of the crop of the music heads in South Florida said present ... for a project that takes music so high up there in its priority list ... it is a delighting pleasure to experience nites like last nite ...
The nite was topped with two of the best djs down here ... Ariel Baund and Jon Cowan ... thanx guys ... top notch music all the way ...
4:40 am  ... Jonathan turns the music off ... his dancefloor clapping for a superb set ... shouting thank yous from everywhere ... Jonathan smiles to them ... turns the music back on with this sick progressive breaks track ...
4:55 am ... I get next to Jonathan and let him know we NEED to finish it up ... he smiles and in the following 45 seconds disappears all that energy from the dancefloor .... time to
receive the acknowledgement of his crowd once again ... :D
Thank you Jonathan ... you are one mofo brilliant DJ ...
-
Congratulations to the team of Fridays at Limebar ... Carlos and Freddy ... Oscar Fonseca ... Jimmy T ... and Miami's rising star DJ Domingo Castillo ...
You guys deserve my upmost respect and admiration ...

Also, I can see why Jessica Sick writes for Street instead of a real newspaper. That was not an interview. That was a PR puff piece. ...
... Looking forward to hear more from Tony. He may just get my vote after all.
You are right with your impression on the interview ... only thing I can add is that yes ... the intention she had was to "PRESENT" Tony to the masses that go beyond the nitelife industry ... so the medium to do so was a PR style interview ...
He will get my vote ... I'm sure ...
What brought 5 rich europeans to purchase real state in South Beach was the quality of the "Entertainment Industry" ... it wasn't the views nor the luxury of the property ... for that you could buy further north ...
The enchant of South Beach is the "Entertainment Industry" ... so hard hitten by the lack of tourism after 911 ... and the economy ... which also was affected by it (in less scale but affected) ...
Tony is right with the issues he brings up to the table ... you don't need more laws to control the "Entertainment Industry" ... you need laws to incentivate it and reactivate it ...
More parking (give tax incentives) ... more patrolling of the streets ... operating hours for clubs ... those are issues that will add ...
And for gods sake ... remeber Ocean Drive? ... lets stop thinking of Lincoln Road only ... the early 90s saw an abandoned Miami Beach ... OD did the overhaul ... the beach is really depressing nowadays ... get the city involved in a re-emergence plan for it ... find "that" project that will bring back national exposure to OD ... and forget about those latin music festivals and free concerts ... they attract the wrong "business" to the beach ...
Think of uniqueness ... not "malls" ...

More than likely it's a classics night like Saleen wants.
 ... that's the word on the street **entends ears to listen to more gossip**
Would like to see how the top club in the nation does a classics nite ... this ain't no small club ... with no international reputation

Stryke (doing an ambient set in a small setting) on a weekend of course This guys production work is incredible! I'm not to big on techno although the times I've heard him live he's been great. I would have to say I'm more of a fan of his production work. Strykes album Pages from the blue diary is arranged beautifully. He touched on pretty much every end of the dance spectrum. Most talented local kat IMO. I would really like to hear him in a small intimate setting where there's no pressure to play floor killers.
Agree 100%
