  1. Glad to see Danny changed your mind about him the second time around. He is good stuff. Glad to see that it was such a good time.
  2. I would also LOVE to see Miss Kitten. She too has a new cd out. MISS KITTIN New Album: "I COM" Released 31st May 2004 >> Listen Miss Kittin releases her long awaited debut solo album ‘I Com’ through novamute on May 31st 2004. Caroline Herve, aka Miss Kittin, has over the past five years, truly become one of the most inspiring DJs and voices to emerge within the electronic music scene. Her vocal collaborations have produced seminal moments of dancefloor heaven. Alongside long-time production partner The Hacker, tracks such as ‘Frank Sinatra’ and ‘1982’ propelled them into the spotlight whilst further collaborations with Felix Da Housecat ‘Silver Screen (Shower Scene)’, Golden Boy ‘Rippin Kittin’, Sven Vath ‘Je T’aime’ and more recently T. Raumschmiere ‘The Game Is Not Over’ and Tricky have confirmed Miss Kittin’s star billing status. Miss Kittin has also taken centre stage as a headline DJ in her own right - the job that she truly considers her own and one that she excels at. She can flawlessly join the dots between Detroit techno, deep house, electro and Black Dog records and understands how a Prince track can fit into a banging club set. “If I don't have fun myself, I'm not able to please people,†says Kittin. “DJing must be, in a way, something selfish. I shout it loud: I don't do it for the people. I never pretended to educate the audience. I just share a big part of me, taking it as serious as I love it.†French born Miss Kittin is, alongside her frantically busy global DJ schedule, working A&R jobs, hosting radio mix-shows, remixing, collaborating and writing music. “I Com†is Miss Kittin stripped bare: her first solo mission and an album rich in Kittin attitude. From her Berlin base “I Com†has been co-produced by Tobi Neumann and Thies Mynther a.k.a. GLOVE, who had previously also worked with fellow electro-pop upstarts Chicks On Speed. The album opens with the first single “Professional Distortionâ€, a rock meets blip-hop opus and wry commentary on her experiences in the nightlife world. From there, the album careens through the giddy electro-punk of “Meet Sue Be She†(apparently an ode to her manager) to the shimmering euro-pop of “Kiss Factory†and the icy skank of “Dub About Meâ€. One thing soon becomes very clear. One of the main progenitors of the so-called ‘electro-clash’ movement has found her wings, finding a range of style and voice that far outshines such short-sighted preconceptions. On “I Comâ€, we find a unique personality for whom the notion of ‘electro-clash’ is now a distant memory, where the heavily-accented deadpan delivery over techno beats that established her notoriety on previous recordings has been unseated by a desire to sing, to scream, to rap and to croon, all of which she manages to do with ample helpings of sly wit and wordplay and a musical landscape that incorporates both brazen beats and intoxicating atmospherics. Several guest appearances enhance the mood, including Chicago luminary L.A. Williams on “Requiem For A Hit†and longtime sparring partner Michel Amato (The Hacker) on “Soundtrack Of Nowâ€. The album also features a cover version; the 1985 Euro-hit “3eme Sexe†(Third Sex) by Indochine. ‘I Com’ is preceded by the single ‘Professional Distortion’ on May 17th. 3. Cool, thanks. I also kinda miss my home away from home...Vision. I'll let you know how Sound bar is seeing as though I heard nothing but good things about it. Also, IYO as far as house music, do you think I should check out Jazzy Jeff who is spinning the same night?
  4. WERD! What is the title of the cd? I have the cd that has the tracks "Bucci Bag" and "Control Freak". If there is a newer one, I'll be sure to pick it up.
  5. Ok so next weekend I already have the whole weekend planned while I am out of town. I am sure not to miss Zabiela at Sound Bar on Friday but have heard the names Oliver Ho and Blake Baxter who is set to be at Vision on Saturday night. However, I have never heard them spin. Are they worth checking out? Please advise. Spanks!

  8. Well I just wanted tosay that I did try to go on Saturday but like Tonie said in the PM that if I got there around midnight it would be a bitch to get in. So I got there 11:55 and waited 10 min in line, then I asked if the guestlist was still open and they said no. So I had to leave. Sorry, I couldn't make it, but I bet it was a good time. I hope to see you guys soon, when I am able to make it a night out.
  9. I wonder if they are going to have something like that when I am there in 2 weeks. I'll have to check it out. I am sure my friends will know. Finally, Daley giving in to a little outing for us clubheads after the Club XL fiasco 3 years ago.
  10. LEOS RULE! Well I just made plans to go to Chicago the weekend July 30th-Aug 1st, for my B-day, but I do hope to see you out on the 5th. I agree, a break from going out is a good thing.
  11. yep I will probably make it out for this one. Niiiiice!
  12. haha, that goes for both of us. Thanks for dropping my drunk ass off, however I had a case of "dude where's my car" this morning after I woke up late. I walked half hour and finally found it, where it could have gotten towed. Ok, time for me to go to sleep. Oh yeah, it was good times last night, from what I can remember.
  13. HOLY HOT MAMA! Congrats on the spread chica, it was only a matter of time. I'll be one of the hundreds to pic up the issue. Hopefully I'll see you guys out soon, thank god for those pics, I nearly forgot how you looked since I haven't been out much!
  14. grrrrrr, I am so mad I have to miss this. I start my new job tomorrow and I have to be up at 6 am. Oh well, I am sure I will see him again.
  15. I love that track...and the whole cd for that matter
  16. Right on. Yeah I am sure we will be going strong at that time. The guys will probably be on the 4th drink in the challenge by then. Hope to see you there!
  17. all you beach dwellers and those who want to make the trip, I am coordially inviting you to join me in celebrating my last day at "the Cleve" and on getting a real job at 7:00 when I get off of work. There will be lots of drinking (my co-workers are having a contest on seeing who will be still standing after taking the 10 specialty drink challenge, in which I am not participating in), there will also be good food, music and good times. If that still does not entice you, which I don't see why not, then anyone who dines with me gets half off of drinks and 20% off of food....provided if I know you and like you....lol! Anyway, again the date is Friday June 25th at 7:00pm til someone drops. Hope to see you there.
  18. DOH! I was supposed to go with Miriam, but I fell asleep. I did nothing but sleep and work this weekend.
  19. And after reading your post it looks like you had a couple drinks there mate...lol! And yeah you guessed it I am happy with the job I got!
  20. Cool, my first neighbor. I live right across from you. I will hopefully stop by!
  21. yep this is job number 1000 since I have been here. However this job is a keeper....for now! Lemme rewind a week. So after my wonderful weekend I have an even better week. I had my second interview at Club Monaco as sales/merchandiser. Got the job. Happy as hell I continue on with my life. I get a call from D&G at Bal Harnour Wed wanting me to come in for an interview today (Friday). I freak out because I mean come on....IT'S D&G! As if that wasn't enough, I get a call yesterday from this corporation called Isaco International, which is the 2nd largest male clothing distributer with Perry Ellis and independant brands being represented, for an interview at 8:00 in the morning. Mind you I had to work until 2:30 am at Clevelander. Anyway after 2 hours of sleep and no coffee I was not 100% confident on getting this job. But this had to be one of the easiest and best interviews I have been on. So I was hired on the spot as the Administrative Assistant to VP of Merchandising with continuous mentioning of growth into the merchandising position and then some. After this glee I then question if I should go on the D&G interview. I will be making good money at Isaco but would like to make more. So thinking I could work on weekends at a store I go to the interview. It didn't work out, so I still had the Club Monaco job. However when I just spoke to her, working just on weekends was not going to cut it. So now I am just working at Isaco and possibly still Clevelander on the weekends. I think this could be a really good decision for me. It's funny because I was interested in working for Isaco way back in Sept (maybe before that) and kept applying. I guess it pays off.
