  1. www.ibiza-spotlight.com Listings come up in May I believe... right now, they still have last year's agenda. Wish I was going.... enjoy yourself!!
  2. That actually sounds like him so I cant argue
  3. Rich is actually a very good guy and friend of mine. One of the nicest personalities in the industry and the man responsible behind many of Jonathan's productions.... most notable is the Garth brooks dub. The man is nasty on the keys.... show him respect you rookie!
  4. Nooooo nothing going on or ever was going on between me and angelicious fortunately! That is all you my man..... We'll get into a lil cranial competition sooner or later.... For now though, I'm enjoying the slinkie vs. meathead confrontations Hows training comin along my little cub?
  5. Went last summer and had a great time! Taking this year off but have Prague in my plans. Might make the trip to the island of sin in 2004 though.
  6. FYI, Jonathan works with a few "large gentlemen of color"
  7. Yo bus, dont drag my name into your shenanigans again. Thanks bud! Id hate for us to go through what we went through last time ya know although it warms my heart that you still think about me from time to time lol.
  8. I went to Paris on business 2 years ago and Barcelona/Ibiza this past summer. As far as France is concerned, I didnt quite have enough time to check out everything that Paris had to offer since I worked in a clinic in Poiters but here's a rundown of things you must check out while in Paris: Champs Elysees - its the equivalent of NY's 5th avenue and runs through the heart of the city. Over here you run into the Arc de Triomph (gateway of paris). Eiffel Tower - beautiful during the day but even more so at night. There's an elevator that goes up to the top that you're better off doing at night to truly absorb the "city of lights" experience. The same scavengers you see in Times Square selling watches, lighters, cameras etc are rampant around here so dont go alone. They prey on tourists. The Invalides and Ecole Military (sp?) are the other monuments located behind the tower. Also check out the Bastille district, Notre Dame cathedral and the opera house to really respect the architecture. This will help you prepare for what Barcelona has in store for you As far as nightlife goes, there's a ton of bars and cafes sprewn throughout both the intimate alleyways and major avenues. Pub St.Germain is the biggest bar in Paris and has a younger college crowd. Montecristo is a cuban-themed lounge which was pretty cool (latin music) as well as Casbah. Also you have China club which makes NYC's club look like a joke. Place where I really enjoyed myself was Les Bains which was pretty upscale and notable for celebrities. Parisians are really big on fish. So if you dont like seafood, you might find yourself munching on duck, pidgeons or other exotic dishes. Meals are all given in courses with the standard bread, wine, cheese and crackers bit. I wasnt too impressed with their food but you should check out Loubnan and VEdettes Paris. Weather there is pretty chilly so pack a jacket and a few light sweaters. If you smoke, stick with Dunhills out there. A must is a french translation device or dictionary otherwise you're f*cked. Most of the folks speak English but act as if they dont. Dont let it bother you. Disney is also in Paris but I never got to see it. Too much to do and see in just a few days. Barcelona is another world and by far the best place I've ever visited. I stayed at a hotel right by the Ramblas in Placa Catalunya which is like NY's Times sq. Bunch of bars, restaurants and street performers at night here. The university is in this area also so you'll find a younger college crowd. In this area, catch one of those doubledecker buses for about $15 and you see every attraction Barcelona has to offer from the Olympic stadium, Bari Gothic (church district), Sagrada Familia (one of the tallest cathedrals in the world), Olympic port (at night its bar/club central), Montjuic mountain which has a theme park on top and this enormous statue of Jesus hovering over the city. Most of the architecture in Barcelona is designed by Gaudi who had this creative surreal imagination and implemented that in his work. Alot of the buildings you'll see look like they belong in Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. Its truly unreal and awe-inspiring work. You'll see most of it on that bus I told you about. Sucks that you're not going in the summer where the weather is alot warmer and you can take that ferry to Ibiza. Thats like a week of its own and you owe it to yourself to go back in the future. The nightlife in Barcelona is pretty underground and afterhours. Parties dont get good till about 1-2am and go on till the morning. Ask around for La Tierra (its basically a city inside a city and you walk inside what looks like a residential complex but turns out to be a mall of dance clubs). Its the true afterhours spot and the music was on point. :D The line is hugeee but if you walk up to the doorperson and flash a US passport or NY drivers license, you're a celebrity Not sure if they started them yet but when I was there, we got to see a bullfight at the Monumental. Pretty barbaric but thats what they do there on Sundays. You're not giving yourself much time but if you plan well and have your agenda pretty organized, you can cover the major bases and see for yourself if its worth checking out in more detail later. Have a safe trip! Ray
  9. looks like we're on for tomorrow toots.... call me after 8
  10. what tickets might you be refering to? you pay at the door
  11. It was whatevaman that said it and you didnt know what he meant by it... THAT was the funny part about it actually
  12. Jonathan said he's closing after 1am so you got time to hit the shack AFTER the superbowl as well
  13. Looks like sticky is learning...... For more emphasis, try alternating upper and lower case with the K's..... adds more of a dramatic flair I'd say....
  14. What else is new? Glad to see you've cured from that evil Soundfactory Strep throat.... Those sinister beats get me in the tonsils all the time too bro... I feel your pain
  15. I hear ya kid.... not the proper attitude to have in this business thats for sure! You shouldnt bother with cornball beef like that anyway when we got things like the lovely women of South Beach to worry about in 8 weeks
  16. Thats pretty funny Dom.... I knew you and your brother's mp3-whoring would get you guys in trouble one day lol. Still on your SF hiatus? I might be makin' an appearance on the man's bday
  17. I got your back kid... I gave Dani the last cd I made for xmas and told her to hit you at Metro on NYE. Girl shows up to SF later and says she gave it to the bouncer to get reduced admission.. go figure... I've got plenty of the dirty dirty beats if thats what you're into these days. You gotta think outside the 3 note chords and catchy hooks that NJ clubbers adore so much.... once you go tech, you never go back.... you've been forewarned My next SF outting is on the man's bday and then throwing a superbowl party at my crib later and then back to the shack after the game is over.... taking trooper applications for this daunting task as we speak.. lemme know if you're interested
  18. C'mon Rod... you never heard of Picotto before VEgas??? The man is unreal... throws down the dirtiest tech sets known to man. Had the pleasure of hearing him in Arc back in October and AC on Thanksgiving eve. Definitely gonna check him out in March... If you like him, you'd enjoy Richie Hawtin and Sven Vath too. I gotta warn you beforehand though... you're not gonna hear "airport" in any of their sets lol
  19. SF wasn't crazy at all. It was more packed last year which made this year more enjoyable without the excess # of slobs. I heard Metro sucked but props to Tooch.... That lil' Cokeman/Please Do Not be Alarmed/Resistance/GTI/etc etc etc concoction was the highlight of the night I was told
  20. Yo Dom, def had a blast in that place.. good hangin w/ you and your brother. JP was off music-wise with only a few highlights like you mentioned. Obsession with Believe in Me was dope and the way he ripped up Ficken and Afrika still amazes me. I left around 4:30 and Johny Vicious was upstairs so I knew JP was gonna drop Rain sooner or later but I just couldnt stick around any longer. I got a good 2 months to prepare for WMC now... cant wait!
  21. Yo whats crackin Roderick... I'm still amazed you're able to reach the H and G keys .. didn't think you'd be able to get your arms that close together lol.... I had an eventful weekend (discoteque Thurs, Metro fri, SF sun while juggling 12 hour work schedules in between) but failed to see the Diggster in action... I have seeeeeeeen the LITE and it guided me to the back bar area where I was able to let loose with my peeps without darting, cold looks from across the room lol.... Hope you had as much of a good time as I did... You failed to show up for SF as well.. you're slacker attitude has to got to go but I'll give ya a break this time... I got a CD for ya that I just finished on saturday... (track 7 - 12 will make your neighbors hate you)... hope to see ya soon kiddo Don Cazzanova....
