    Amsterdam ??

There is a new club opening up called Panama. Markus Schulz is doing a monthly residency there. The other weeks they are booking people like Sander K, Dave Seaman, etc.....(the more prog guys). The club is supposed to be more upscale, like some of the places we are used to here in Miami. Definetly worth checking out. I think it opens next month.

John 00 Fleming joins the Broadcast! Boasting regular appearances at Gods Kitchen and The Gallery , John 00 Fleming has long been injecting his blend of hard-edged progressive trance into the UK's top clubs. With a career spanning nearly twenty years, his unique character and impeccable talent have seen Fleming become the face of his genre, producing numerous mix albums ,artist singles, remix projects and heading his own underground label; Joof Recordings. John's career started some 18 years ago when his headmaster asked that he play an under 18s night for the school. After just one appearance, John was asked to become a resident at the now legendary Sterns in his hometown of Worthing. He was aged just 15. Fleming honored his residency throughout the 80s and during this period, shared the decks with some of dance-music's most treasured DJs, including Carl Cox , Fabio and Grooverider at the club's ‘Interdance' night. As acid house and the rave scene reached new heights, John stepped forward as one of the leaders of the movement, DJing at Fantazia , Raindance and Ibiza as far back as 1987. In 1990 John was diagnosed with lung cancer, aged 20. His escalating reputation was to suffer a blow as Fleming was forced to turn his back on the dance-music community in order to concentrate on recovering. After two years in hospital undergoing chemotherapy, John was in remission and moved to Florida in an attempt to regain his health. It was here that Fleming made his return to the decks with regular dates at Miami's Cameo Theatre and guest spots up and down the East Coast to Canada. A year later John returned to the UK with a fresh perspective. It is this life-threatening experience that has given him the lust for life and determination to regain his place at the peak of his profession. Complementing his assured reputation as a DJ, John has displayed a great flair for production. The massive success of two artist singles; ‘Alpha 5' and ‘Lost In Emotion' , were accompanied by a third release in 2000 with ‘Free' , which enjoyed an entry in the UK Top 40. In 2002, John continued to develop his production work with the release of ‘Belfast Trance' ; sampling Simple Minds' ‘Belfast Child' and SupaKane (Fleming/Healey) ‘The theme from SupaKane', both on Virgin Recordings. Fleming ended the year with a track with M.I.K.E. ‘Ice cream'. During his career, Fleming has completed numerous remix projects in a broad spectrum of genres. Among his successes are Erasure's ‘Sometimes' , Gloria Estefan's ‘When Will This Moment End' , Mansun's ‘Tax Loss' and ‘Wide Open Space' and Junior Vasquez' ‘House Of Joy' . In 2001 his remix of Konkrete's ‘Law Unto Myself' on Perfecto was supported by Dave Pearce, Paul Oakenfold and Paul Van Dyk and his most recent remix of the international club classic ‘Café Del Mar' reached No.24 in the UK singles chart!! John 00 Fleming has become one of the front-runners in the worldwide club scene. 2004 brings a new level of demand for one of few DJs capable of filling clubs on a global level and selling over a million mix compilations!. From the studio, January 2004 welcomed John's remake of Astral Projection's ‘Mahadeva' that firmly put John on the map of one of today's best producers. John's own radio show 'Global Trance Grooves' has been enjoying it's own success for the past 12 months. Now comes the album. To be released in October on John's own label JOOF Recordings. This will be John's first solo CD compilation in over 4 years away from the Euphoria series. John currently has some amazing unreleased music and this is shaping up to be his best compilation to date. Keep up to date with all things JOOF at www.john00fleming.com Filo & Peri return to the Broadcast! Our stoOurd for great things. An accomplished pianist by age 12, Domenick dreamed of someday making music his life; he wasn't sure how, but he had a feeling that something would come along and enlighten him. Fast forward a few years to high school, and Domenick Filopei meets Dominic LeVoci. Although they lived in the same neighborhood their entire lives, they never met until then. The two quickly became friends, but at the time, LeVoci was thoroughly uninterested in music, bearing in mind tortuous childhood piano lessons that resulted in a mastery of old Italian folk tunes. Filopei's dreams continued to simmer. Meanwhile, other events were happening to the north. Unbeknownst to the Doms, a young man named Bo Pericic of Ardsley, New York, was also experimenting with music. His father was an avid fan of early electronic acts, and Bo found himself listening to the likes of Jean Michelle Jarre and Tangerine Dream at a very young age. When he turned 6, his parents bought him The Miracle. The Miracle was the keyboard that you hooked up to your old 8-bit Nintendo which taught you how to play music through different games. Immediately hooked, Bo spent hours upon hours playing, trying to write his own songs instead of read notes. With the seed planted, Bo's interest grew over the years as he mined the catalogs of classic artists such as The Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy. By the time Bo discovered the realm of trance, he had started to experiment with production, setting the stage for what would happen in the future. . . By the year 2000, Dom and Dom had discovered the American rave scene and the glories of club culture. Finding their utopia in the form of dance music, they decided that this was their true calling. Their course was set. . . After graduation, the guys scored jobs in the IT field. Filopei's bedroom studio had now reached living room sized proportions, and the decibel level threatened to have him disowned by his normally accommodating family. At the same time, LeVoci found himself at a crossroads; if he was going to get into electronic music, he would have to build himself a respectable setup, and fast. With LeVoci unsure of his musical future, and Filopei about to be thrown out of his house, the two friends looked for a solution to their problems by combining them: what is to stop two ambitious kids from making loud music? With their day jobs and all their savings, Filopei and LeVoci decided they were going to "go professional" - they would rent a commercial space where they could work undisturbed and focus on the difficult task they had set before them. Construction went on for two months straight, and when it was done, there was much celebration. While LeVoci started down the long road of learning, Filopei resumed his production, which by this time was reaching new heights. It was then that the paths of Bo Pericic and Domenick Filopei first crossed. . . Filopei had listened to a Pericic production off of Trance.nu, and admired Bo's playing style and orchestration. After a few conversations, he invited him to 5Knuckle. After just one week, the two had created a track entitled "Elevation". The production was so good that they decided to work on more projects as a team, something that neither committed to lightly. An industrious individual who could match Filopei's frenetic work pace as well as LeVoci's more relaxed vibe, Bo quickly became a fixture at the studio. While becoming increasingly creative in his playing, Bo displayed a keen knowledge of "the scene" as well as where he would like to take it. His grand visions sat well with 5Knuckle's mission statement, and the young producers dreamed of the day where they could rock floors with the very music they themselves had created. Days and then weeks passed, with Filopei and Bo clocking serious hours in front of the console. Even LeVoci, who had a habit of disappearing without explanation for days on end, found himself devoting more time to the mixing desk, spurred on by this resurgence of creativity. After two months of intense production, Bo and Filopei finally caught a break. After giving "Elevation" to Armin Van Buuren at the Roxy nightclub, they soon received an email from Armin himself (coincidentally on Bo's 18th birthday) stating that he would like to sign two of the tracks from the Filopei/Pericic collaboration, now known simply as "Filo & Peri". 5Knuckle Studios had finally reached the next level. . . Present Day: The Clouds Burst Arriving at the present, 5Knuckle Studios is now firing on all cylinders. Filo & Peri have virtually locked themselves in the studio, producing tracks that could easily rate as some of the best trance to ever come out of America. With a steady schedule of releases and a mission to establish America on the trance scene, Filo & Peri have seen the industry take an increasing interest in their product. Be on the lookout for them, as you'll surely hear their tracks being hammered by a select group of renowned DJs, and soon by the boys themselves. With a sage blend of anticipation and determination, Filo & Peri look forward to the future as well as the opportunities it will bring. . . The name is Bond, Scott Bond, license to DJ, spin records and thrill crowds. Surely he can’t be serious with a name like that? Quite the contrary, he’s deadly serious. At 31 years old, Scott Bond is notoriously one of the most successful young DJs, co-promoters and producers in the UK and as the above shows he is no stranger to success. For years Scott was resident at Sheffield super club 'Gatecrasher', the club he co-promoted with Simon Raine from 1994 to 2004, as well as playing at other popular clubs around the country and the world. Since 1987, Scott has spread his wings as far a field as U.S.A, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Israel, Japan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, Mexico, Norway, Ibiza, Italy, turkey, Denmark, Finland, and the legendary trance club 'Dorien Grey' in Frankfurt Germany. One of the highlights of his career involved playing to a 25,000 capacity crown for gatecrasher millennium event at Sheffield's Don Valley Stadium. Scott is not only a celebrated dj and promoter. He manages to fit studio time into his hectic schedule to produce tracks that are known and played all around the world. Scott's latest productions, collaborations with Solar Stone, have included the enchanting 'Third Earth' and 'Naked Angel' which includes a haunting piano riff and vocal. Both tracks had huge support from the worlds top DJ's and became anthems in clubs worldwide. Scott and Solar Stone's new track 'The Red Line Highway' is already creating a storm and getting plays on Armin Van Buuren's 'A State of Trance' radio show and Paul Van Dyk's 'Sound garden' show despite there only being 6 cdrs out there. Past tracks include remix's of Shimon Wolfsons' top 40 hit "Sundance" and Kamasutra's "Storm in my Soul" . in 1995 Scott formed Q:Dos and in 1998 created the legendary anthem "I'm Not Going Home" . Scott is still producing so watch out for more tracks over the coming months! Since leaving gatecrasher Scott has teamed up with long time friend and one time promoter of the legendary club 'Fantazia' Andrew Gallagher and created a new club brand called 'Ahead' . The pair decided to team up after a successful stint together promoting the club 'gatecrasher' in its hay day. After holding only one event and releasing only one album the Ahead name is already being talked about world wide and is regarded as the newest and most exciting movement in club land for years. So what next for Scott? Expect new tracks from him and Solar Stone that will be played t clubs all over the world. Look out for his new record label 'Made in England' which will release some of the newest tracks around that help Scott pioneer his unique sound. Listen out for new albums mixed by Scott to reflect the 'Ahead' club sound, and watch out for the new and exciting 'Ahead' club name as it goes from strength to strength and creates a new movement in clubbing world wide!...the world is not enough for Scott. Ben Lost returns to the Broadcast! After spending seven successful years as a vocalist in various rock bands, Ben Lost began his career in dance music when he joined Pinnacle Distribution in 1999. Ben began spending many of his weekends at UK clubs such as Gatecrasher and The Gallery, where DJ sets from the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Dave Seaman and Paul Van Dyk had a heavy influence on Ben's musical taste. It was these influences which led Ben to join Hooj with a view to developing their offshoot label Lost Language Records. During his time as head of A&R at Lost Language, Ben has been responsible for the release of over 35 tracks including Solar Stone's 'Solar Coaster' and 'Seven Cities', Accadia's 'Blind Visions', Energy 52's Café Del Mar and Lustrals' Broken. As the Lost Language label has grown, so has Ben's profile as a DJ. His unique melodic and emotional sound is reflective of the records released on Lost Language. After recently being approached by legendary UK promoter and DJ Scott Bond, Ben is delighted to have signed as resident DJ at Scott's new club based project 'Ahead' - an event which looks set to change the face club land and further increase Ben's profile as one of the most exciting talents in the scene. Markus Schulz leads of the broadcast with his signature dark melodic sounds. With summer now underway, this is the perfect way to get your vacations started. Kosheen returns to the Broadcast! Once in a while, a band comes along that doesn't just ignore the rule book, but rewrites it. Since forming in the late 90's, Kosheen have proved that success doesn't have to come on someone else's terms. Fusing the plaintive, potent vocals of singer Sian Evans with the darkly intimate electronica of Darren Decoder and Markee Substance, Kosheen create songs where the sounds tell the story as much as the lyrics while the boundaries of genres are blurred and challenged. In 2003, individuality remains their calling card with their second stunning album, 'Kokopelli'. It takes the fearless, emotive blueprint of the band's debut, 'Resist', and couples it with Sian's more confident song writing, a heavier rock influence and the experience of playing live around the world. It is a natural progression, but a huge leap forward; confirmation that Kosheen are currently one of the UK's most exciting, experimental bands. The foundations of this revolution were laid years earlier when music changed the lives of all three band members. Darren Decoder - aka Darren Beale - played and wrote music for years in various punk bands at school in Weston-Super-Mare, always recording their efforts and so developing a simultaneous interest in the production side. When he went to university in 1989, though, he realized something was missing. Together, Darren and former Glaswegian indie kid Markee Substance created the seminal Ruffneck Ting club nights around Bristol and the South West. Raised on The Smiths, Echo and The Bunneymen and, later, Stone Roses and Happy Mondays, Markee became instrumental in the burgeoning drum n' bass scene. The pair soon got to know Sian Evans. Brought up in a small town in South Wales, Sian had left home at 16 and moved to Cardiff to escape, living in squats and friends houses while working several jobs at once and traveling to parties and festivals all over the country. At the height of the rave scene, in 1991, she gave birth to her son, Yves, and was forced to reassess her priorities. For the next four years, Sian and her son split their time between environmental protests like Newbury and working at summer festivals. At night, after Yves went to bed, Sian passed the time by writing songs. Realizing her future lay with these songs -in fact, most of them went on to form the tracks on Kosheen's debut album, 'Resist' - she soon moved back to Bristol to find someone to play them with. Enter Darren and Markee. The world agreed they were something special. Kosheen's compelling, anthemic track 'Hide U' reached number 6 in the UK, while 'Catch' hit number 15 and 'Hungry' reached number 13. The accompanying album, 'Resist', went on to reach number 8 in the UK and made the top 30 in Australia, The Netherlands, Belgium and Greece. It has since sold half a million copies worldwide. 'Hide U' also won 'Best Remix' at the Muzik Dance Awards and Record of The Year at the Dancestar USA Awards in Miami. Ignoring the accepted protocol that dictates 'dance' acts don't play live, Kosheen then set off on tour. With their debut album 'Resist' this equated to an impressive 141 shows in 33 countries to an audience of over several million. In fact, crowds of up to 17,000 have since seen the band play in Europe, Australia, South Africa, Asia, even America where fans who had only heard Kosheen via Napster knew all the lyrics before anything had ever officially been played there. The LA Times went so far as to proclaim the band one of four hot new electronica acts to watch for. In summer 2001, Kosheen further cemented their reputation as a world-class live act by performing to a 20,000-strong crowd in Serbia, the first international band to do so since the trouble in the Balkans. Inevitably while on tour, Kosheen turned their attention to their second album. Enthused by the incredible reception they had received live, they began writing songs with that in mind, tracks they knew would sound great on stage. The resulting record - now named 'Kokopelli' after the North American Indian symbol of fertility, individuality and music - is a hypnotic, intimate collection of songs from the soul. The divide between Sian's folk upbringing and Darren and Markee's electronica background is less pronounced while influences including The Pretenders, The Cure, Kate Bush and Radiohead all resonate. For now, though, Kosheen are ready to hit that motorway again and bring their new studio sound to the live stage, the place where they have truly proved they are a band without limits. Misja Helsloot makes his debut on the Broadcast! Misja was born on the 21st of January in 1973 in Rotterdam. In 1992 Misja started to buy the records he liked, and his choice was Trance and Progressive House. Misja started to play at parties he organized together with a friend in Rotterdam. In the mean time he became friends with DJ Tiesto, who was already a well known DJ in Holland, and he gave Misja the chance to mix his own CD. "In Trance We Trust 001" which was released in September 1998 on Black Hole Recordings. This CD was well sold in The Netherlands, Israel and Norway, which resulted in many dj bookings in these countries. After a year Misja was looking for more than just a CD so he started his own sub label at a record company in Rotterdam. In December 1999 his first CD on his own label was finished and called "The Creation - Day One". In 2000 Misja started to invest in a studio at home and the first result was a remix of the Inkfish track Orange Envelope together with Alpha Breed. Soon after, in August 2001 a whole new record company was born, Gesture Music. Together with Roland K (San Project, 2 men strong) and Maarten v Oosten (Orientalist), Misja started his real dream. Misja's first release at his company was be "Misja Helsloot - First Second" in September 2002. This release was played a lot by Paul van Dyk. In the summer of 2002 Misja played at all major festivals in The Netherlands like Extrema, Love Fields and Dance Valley. Misja's name was steadily rising, both as DJ and producer. Several remixes were made, and he had the honors to record the Impulz theme song, A Different World, on his own First Second label. New mix-cds were released: Capital and (back to were it all began) ITWT 007. And DJ bookings brought Misja around the globe: from the Cocorico in Italy to the Opium Garden in Miami to The Dome in Tell Aviv, and back home to major gigs such as Impulz, Dance Valley and the end party of the FFWD Dance Parade in Rotterdam. In 2004, a new highlight was added to Misja's career. Ten thousands of party people saw him opening the Main stage at Trance Energy. What more could you ask for? Markus Schulz leads of the broadcast with his signature dark melodic sounds. Sasha returns to the Broadcast! There are DJs who turn up, play records and make people dance. And there are producers who make the dance floor-igniting records those DJs will kill for. There are very few people in dance music who can do both and Sasha is the leader of the pack. Ever since he rode in on a tidal wave of adoration from the North of England's explosive early 90s club scene, that magic touch has made Alexander Coe one of the most famous, most revered DJ on the planet. It's because of what he can do with music - the way he can make good records sound better, great records sound awesome, and everything he plays into his own. The way his mixes take elements from across the spectrum of electronic dance, from trance, breaks, progressive and deep house, and create a languidly hypnotic liquid groove. The way his understanding of both melody and momentum can tease, taunt, and en-trance a dance floor before unleashing a record that will have people not just leaping up and down but bursting with emotion. The best DJs know that DJing is first about being able to read people and then about being able to tap into that human experience and take it on a journey. Sasha has always been noted for being a master at this and it is this universal appeal that he has tapped into that has established his strong fan base around the globe. Do not be mistaken, this kind of recognition does not happen overnight. Born and raised in a small town in Wales, Sasha was exposed to Motown records when he was just a baby and it was in the home that his talent for playing the piano was developed. His first exposure to house music was at Manchester's Hacienda; just as dance music exploded into the summer of love. "The smoke machine, the strobe lights, everyone trance dancing, wearing bandanas and smiley T-shirts," he smiles now. This impact encouraged his move from Wales to Manchester. His first exploration into DJing was when a DJ in a local pub announced he was looking for people to play club dates. Sasha volunteered and now says that he 'had about 30 records and basically just blagged it'. After honing his deck technique, Sasha's first big break came when he was offered a residency at Stokes legendary club Shelly's. When all the other DJ's were playing US House, Sasha's style was much more uplifting, and he encapsulated clubbers with his mixture of piano led Italian House whilst playing acapella tracks over the top. This combination alongside a wide variety of anthems kept dance floors full and elevated Sasha to hero status. And, lets not forget, in a world where the DJ had too often been bespectacled nerds, here the headline DJ had the looks and charm to match his growing following. In classic rock n' roll style, here was a star that boys wanted to hang out with and girls wanted to get just that little more bit close to. Shelly's was the launch pad for the residency at Renaissance, where Sasha created his niche and helped forge a new style in UK house music. At Renaissance two major things happened; Sasha mixed the first ever UK DJ mix album and he met John Digweed which cemented the partnership known as 'Northern Exposure'. Sasha and John have played together on five continents, have mixed 3 'Northern Exposure' albums which have sold to over 1 million people worldwide. There followed a move back into releasing his own music, collaborating with the former Underworld mainstay, DJ Darren Emerson on 'Scorchio'. For Sasha, music is his first love, and what gives him a buzz is being able to share his music with others. Soon after 'Scorchio' came the first concrete proof of the long-awaited, debut Sasha long player. 'Airdrawndagger' took his nose for the dance floor's g-spot and combined it with the ears for a heartstring strumming melody, a smile inducing hook and dirty great b-line to create a 69 minute symphony that sounds as wistfully enchanting doing the hoovering at home as it does reaching for the lasers on Saturday night. Like the best Sasha DJ set you ever heard, it has melancholy mixed with euphoria, down tempo introspection mixed with jump n' shout excitement. Across the 11 tracks, there's the time and space to reflect his love for music that rarely gets the chance to shine in clubs, whether that's punishingly gnarly break beats or glittering modern classical film scores. It's a symphony for all ravers that grew up but never grew out of chasing that buzz. A record of a journey that began, as so many did, in the smoke and strobes of Manchester's Hacienda nightclub and has now taken him to Midwestern stadium and around the globe. The Delta Heavy Tour that consisted of Sasha, John Digweed and Johnny Van M and took in 35 gigs between March and May in 2002 was awarded Best Dance Event at the Dancestar Awards 2003. It was a series of gigs that took DJing into unprecedented waters - two mammoth tour buses, visuals by the company behind hit movie 7even's intense opening credit sequence, and crowds of up to 15,000 clubbers crammed into arenas, warehouses and theatres across the United States. After a year of dates across the globe, including sets at Homelands, Creamfields, Dance Valley, and hosting a stage in the forest of the Mount Fuji Festival, Sasha has been in the studio again, working on new plans and ideas. Expect a few surprises over the coming months, for the man simply refuses to stand still. NOW ON LINE: www.globaldjbroadcast.com Markus Schulz Top 10 (in no particular order) 1. Markus Schulz leads of the broadcast with his signature dark melodic sounds. Deepsky returns to the Broadcast! Hailing from Los Angeles, J. Scott G and Jason Blum—the team behind the Deepsky sound—are producers and remixers of world-class music that has rocked dance floors and armchair listeners alike for over a decade. The duo discovered their passion for electronic music in the new wave and industrial music of the mid-1980’s, and formed Deepsky in 1992 as the seeds of the American dance scene began to take root. During the course of their 11-year career they have produced and remixed over 40 titles and performed live shows at hundreds of clubs, raves, and music festivals worldwide. From “Tempestâ€, their 1996 single licensed as theme music to MTV’s “Ampâ€, to 1997’s worldwide smash hit “Stargazer â€, to recent remixes of Madonna , Paul Oakenfold, Seal and David Bowie the Deepsky duo have firmly established themselves as one of the busiest and most desirable production teams in America. Deepsky’s 2002 artist album, In Silico, is an eclectic journey through a diverse array of styles, featuring driving rhythms, intricate melodies, and meticulous attention to detail—hallmark qualities that fans have come to expect from Deepsky recordings. The critically acclaimed album drew rave reviews from Mixer, URB , Rolling Stone.com , Time Out New York , and a number of other highly regarded media outlets. Highlights from In Silico include the slamming first single, “Jareth’s Church â€; “View From a Stairway â€, a beautiful work melding electronic breakbeats with classical guitar; and “Mansion World â€, a drum ‘n’ bass reworking of the single by Elijah Blue’s band Deadsy. With work appearing on three albums, numerous compilation and mix CDs, and over 30 twelve-inch singles, it’s no surprise that industry heavyweights like Madonna , David Bowie , Seal , The Crystal Method , America , Paul Oakenfold, Curve, BT, Delerium and many others have turned to Deepsky for production assistance and remix work. Deepsky’s latest remix endeavor is a progressive treatment of Madonna’s “Hollywood†from her latest album American Life. The duo also brought the Material Girl into underground clubs in 2002 with their remix of “Die Another Dayâ€, Billboard’s number one selling maxi-single for 2002. The “Die Another Day†remix enjoyed widespread praise from underground and mainstream DJs alike, earning Deepsky a nomination for Best Remix at the 2003 DanceStar awards and winning the Breakthrough Remixers of the Year award from Remix Magazine Deepsky’s studio work has earned them a great deal of industry respect, but the duo are by no means a studio crew alone. Deepsky are considered by many as torchbearers of American progressive music, having performed hundreds of live shows and DJ sets at clubs and dance events around the world for the past eight years. With Scott skillfully manipulating effects and synthesizers and Jason relentlessly pounding away at electronic percussion, Deepsky’s high-energy live shows have become the stuff of legend, regularly drawing dedicated fans from cities hundreds of miles away. In smaller venues, the duo showcase their skills as highly proficient DJs, playing extended tag-team sets of brand new Deepsky productions and fresh releases from around the globe. Deepsky are hard at work in their Los Angeles studio, crafting new tracks for their upcoming full-length artist album, continuing work on new remixes, and producing their own monthly radio show for XM Radio on XM80 – The Move. The years ahead promise to be a remarkable era for electronic music as Deepsky moves boldly ahead and further defines the progressive American sound. Perry O'Neil joins the Broadcast! How do you know if someone is really talented when there are so many ways to define it? When it comes to making music and playing DJ-sets judging 'talent' is personal, like everything that has something to do with creativity. If you are an agent or an A&R manager, it takes a good sense of what may be successful to put faith in a talented person. Armada has found its new star. Meet Dutch DJ/producer Perry O' Neil. He is a rising star at Armada. Armada heard O' Neil's first productions in the beginning of 2003 and signed the first tunes a couple of months later. David Lewis, partner in Armada, got caught by the unique sound in both Perry's productions and DJ sets so he wanted to work with him as a DJ as well. Several of his tracks already have been played by DJs like Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Markus Schulz, Matt Hardwick and Ben Lost. Perry O' Neil is one of those guys who has been spinning for years, always dreaming of the day on which he would stand in front of thousands of people that came to see him. There were times that he hesitated about the sense of continuing to pursuit a dream that seemed to hard to realize, but then he was always reminded by himself of his undying love for dance music. The style of Perry O' Neil differed from the most other demos they receive. No wonder his first release on St. John vs Locust (A State of Trance) was a success. But what is that unique sound Perry O' Neil masters? Perry himself describes it as progressive melodic house. Perry: "It is not really trance the way Tiësto and Armin van Buuren play it. My sound is a mixture of different elements of different styles. I like melodic repeating lines, and you can easily hear the tribal influences in my tracks. I always try to put a certain energy in the track, like a kicking baseline or a break that is full of tension which builds up to a climax. During the break I like to see the audience with its eyes closed, lifting off from the dance floor, only to return when the climax is there. In general you could say I am fond of progressive melodic house." Perry certainly shows he is having fun when he is behind the decks. Whether it is at Winter Music Conference or at his upcoming gigs at Dance Valley in Holland or Amnesia in Ibiza , with an attitude that, combined with his undeniable talent, it may very well make him the next Dutch star. Danjo Raijer is a 24 year old Dutch DJ / Producer from Rotterdam, who has been doing his thing on the turntables since 1994 and producing since 1997. In the summer of 1998 Danjo met Robbert Vroegindeweij (Rob Styles) at University and they soon found out that they shared the same musical interests. Because Rob was also busy making music, they decided to team up in the studio. In 2000 they were contracted by BPM Dance, where they worked together with artists like Katana, Signum and Mark Norman. At BPM Dance they released several tech-trance bombs (like "Witness" and "Anticipating"). In 2003, DJ Danjo & Rob Styles signed to Armin van Buuren’s Armada Music, where they released their long awaited bomb "Aragon" on the well known Captivating Sounds imprint. The support for this track was enormous and the follow up is ready to cause even more dance floor damage… In the second half of 2003, Danjo & Styles got in touch with Yves Deruyter, who appreciated their work a lot. At his invitation, they got in contact with Bonzai Music, re-born as Banshee Worx, where their new project "Primer" was born. The first "Primer"- release is a huge double header on the Progrez imprint, featuring the tracks "Indulge" and "The Silver Lining". Expect beautiful trance melodies combined with the hard-edge twist Danjo & Styles are known for! The DJ Danjo & Rob Styles / Primer productions have gained support from many of the world’s top DJ’s. They can be found on the playlist of DJ Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Judge Jules, Ferry Corsten, Marco V, Johan Gielen, Matt Darey, Lange, Signum, Misja Helsloot, Katana, Mark Norman, Yves Deruyter, Talla 2XLC, DJ Mind-X, Fire, Cor Fijneman, Ton TB, George Acosta, The Freak, Alex M.O.R.P.H, Green Court, John "00" Flemming, John Askew, M.I.K.E, Neo & Farina, Markus Schulz, Tony Burt, Stigma, Jon O'Bir, Blank & Jones, Guy Ornadel, Jean and many others! As a producer Danjo's respect goes out to: Timo Maas, Roland Klinkenberg, James Holden, Katana, Signum, Mark Norman, Mac Zimms, Marco V., Tiësto, Lemon 8, Tim J, Ron Matser, Nic Vegter, Mirko van Dommelen, Piet Bervoets, Ton TB, Olav Basoski, Silvio Ecomo, Dennis M, Airwave, M.I.K.E., Gabriel & Dresden, Erik de Koning, Filterheadz, Paul Moelands, Perry O'Neil and Jeroen Verheij. Be sure to check out his website at www.djdanjo.com! Rob Styles makes his debut on the Broadcast! Rob Styles (Robbert Vroegindeweij) was born on the 5th of February, 1980 in Rotterdam - The Netherlands. At the age of 14, he first gets to know the principles of producing music. It all starts with a 4-channel mod tracker. Despite of the poor sound quality and limited possibilities, producing music really steals his heart. Some time passes, the equipment gets better, the quality of productions is increasing. In 1996, at the age of 16, Rob sends a demo with some of his productions to the record company Hotmusic in Rotterdam. The response couldn’t be better: within two days, his first record deal is a fact. During the following three years, the first steps into the music business are made. At Hotmusic, Rob releases various records on the labels of Stealth and Haunted House, under the names of Kynthos, Robbert V and Upstream. The Kynthos release becomes successful in Greece, Upstream - Eggplant Adventures is placed on Arcade’s Trance Top 100. Rob teams up with DJ Quinten de Rozario (who’s performing very well with Jessie K at this moment) resulting in lots of fun - and a release from the ‘Wise Grrrls’. In this Hotmusic period, Rob also does a few remixes, among which a track called Atomic Playboy, a track originally produced by Wessel van Diepen. In the years that follow, Rob finishes high school and starts his study of Industrial Design Engineering at the University of Technology in Delft. This is where he meets Danjo Raijer (DJ Danjo) in the summer of 1998. Soon, Rob and Danjo start producing together. Quite a few months later this results in a demo CD, which is presented to the well-known company BPM Dance, in November 2000. In the end of 2000, Rob is contracted by BPM Dance. At BPM, things really get rolling. Together with DJ Danjo, Rob releases several 12-inches. DJ Danjo & Rob Styles - Witness (also remixed by Katana) is released on Trilamb, shortly followed by Anticipating / State of Thrust on the famous Silver Premium label. Also a fabulous DJ Danjo & Rob Styles remix of Jas van Houten’s Heaven’s Gate conquers the stores. All tracks even climb the Dutch dance charts! When BPM Dance quitted releasing in 2003, negotiations with two other record companies started, both resulting in a successful deal. New DJ Danjo & Rob Styles releases were signed to a new company, Armada Music, founded by Armin van Buuren, Maykel Piron and David Lewis - and bombing the trance scene with excellent quality releases from the very beginning! At the same time, in Belgium, a new trance project was given birth: Danjo & Rob signed to BansheeWorx (formerly known as Bonzai Records) and started a project called Primer, with an excellent first release: Indulge / The Silver Lining. The Danjo & Styles productions are supported by some of the world’s top DJs. They can be found on the playlist of DJ Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Marco V, Signum, Katana, DJ Joop, Mark Norman, Cor Fijneman, DJ Astrid, George Acosta, The Freak, Alex M.O.R.P.H and many, many others. Ronski Speed is the East German producer and dj responsible for a lot of high profile trance tunes under the guises Sun Decade, Barefoot Brains and co-producer of Mirco de Govia and Sonorous. way back in 1997 ronski speed started to create his own music. ronski's influences are 80's pop synth bands like New Order, Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode and trance pioneers like chicane, bt and paul van dyk. together with rough mullar he started to build up an own producing studio. he became one of the first signings on the uprising euphonic label by ralph kyau and steven moebius albert. the project sun decade "i'm alone" was one of the most wanted records on euphonic in 2002 and atcr uk in 2003. this record was played by all the big name djs like paul van dyk, oakenfold, ferry corsten, armin van buuren and many others. his remixes for armin van buuren, miro, binary finary, tatana, sonorous, talla2xlc, aly & fila, goldenscan and kyau vs. albert are an evidence for the great remix talent of ronski speed. the time before ronski was very busy in co-writing and co-producing some sonorous and barefoot brains productions together with rough mullar. results were the singles protonic (euphonic) and second sun (euphonic/lost language) - played by tiesto, paul van dyk, oakenfold, armin van buuren. in 2000 he started to work together with mirco de govia. their first common production was a remake of an old euphonic compilation track called "epic monolith". this one turned into a club hit all over the world and was one of the summer smashes in 2001. so mirco and ronski decided to do some more productions and remixes together. the results were some amazing remixes like lasgo's "something" - mirco de govia remix and ralphie b's "massive" - mirco de govia remix, kyau vs. albert‘s - "velvet morning" - mirco de govia remix and finally the mdg-album "chronoscale". mr. speed's solo single called "iris" was released on euphonic in august 2003 and got support by paul van dyk, armin van buuren, ferry corsten, johan gielen, guy ornadel, graham gold, lange, talla 2xlc and judge jules. Ronski Speed has been busy inthe studio lately. His new mix cd Positive Ways 3 was released in April and his brand new single E.O.S was released earlier this month! Kyau vsAlbert returns to the Broadcast! In 1996 their first single "Let Me In" is released. At this point the guys hit the road under their artist name Kyau vs Albert. At the same time, their two small studios emerge and they found a music production company. Early in 1997 they found their record label, Euphonic. Rough Mullar (aka Sonorous) and Ronski Speed are signed to the new label. With the solid foundation of Euphonic, Moebius und Ralph are finally able to present their ideas to the public audience. in 1998 Both of the artists produce diverse tracks under different pseydonyms an dduring this time the first Euphonic label compilation "We Come In Peace" is released. The single "Great/Loebau" enters the German Dance Charts in January 2000, promoted by several German radio stations. In the beginning of 2002 the recording of the single "Save Me" is finished. Kyau vs Albert produce several remixes for other artists. In August 2002 "Save Me" enters the German single sales charts on rank 44. In March the first lp called "Review" is released - a compilation of the best productions and remixes. The CD becomes "Record Of The Month" in the German Raveline magazine and "Album Of The Week" at Sunshine Live Radio. Together with Damae of Fragma, Kyau vs Albert produce the latest single called "Velvet Morning", which enters the German Sales Charts at #74. Sonorous returns to the Broadcast! rough mullar aka sonorous seems to be the forthcoming man of innovative trance and house style and he is from germany! back in the middle of the 90’s he started his musical career in punk and rock bands as a traineed guitar player. later on he became more interested in electronic dance music and began to spin records. this time he met ralph kyau, a trance music producer for years and a pioneer in the east german techno scene. these were the first steps making him producing his own music. together with ronski speed, a good friend and dj, rough mullar started to build up an own studio. in 1997 ralph kyau and steven moebius albert founded their label euphonic and were looking for fresh innovative stuff and new producers. so rough mullar was signed by euphonic. at this time he started making music as sonorous. the first single "free love" became a small success in germany and switzerland. in 1999 sonorous' "did you ever dream?" e.p. was released. the main track of the same name was airplayed in many countries like canada, australia, israel, poland and austria. one of these e.p. tracks was an ambient track that contains a certain vocal sample. in 2000 sonorous rediscovered this yet forgotten tune and created a new more danceable version of "glass garden". the first dubplates were spread to some well named djs. the feedback was amazing and it became a favourite tune of paul van dyk. in october 2000 the british label colourbox released the track in the uk. "glass garden" entered the cool cuts charts and was played by djs like pete tong, boy george, judge jules, graham gold and dave pearce. the latest sonorous single "protonic" was released in january 2003. the single "second sun" got a uk release on lost language with new mixes in autumn 2003. Definitely the place to be to hear all that is new and hot in the world of electronic dance music. M.I.K.E. joins the Broadcast! Mike's aka Dirk Dierickx started to DJ at the age of 16. He used the name DJ Mike, which is why, after he also produced under this name, he decided to change his real name from Dirk to Mike in 2001. Mike is releasing under several project names like Solar Factor, Plastic Boy, Return of the Native, The Blackmaster and of course Push. His style of DJing is very similar to the music he makes, on a hard-edged tech-progressive trance tip. M.I.K.E is at the forefront of Europe's new sound, regularly topping charts in several leading countries. The story began when an 11 year old boy discovered the potential of samplers and keyboards... At the age of 18, Mike handed his first demo tape to the Antwerp based record company, 'USA Import'. Shortly after, his first record, 'Vision Act' was released on the Atom label in 1992. Mike released a series of successful records before he signed up with Lightning in 1996. This gave him the opportunity to team up with Yves Deruyter, as his producer. Mike was behind YDR hits, 'To The Rhythm','The Rebel" and more recently, 'Back To Earth' and 'Spiritual Feelings'. Pole positions in the worldwide dance charts were soon putting the Belgian dance scene firmly on the map. M.I.K.E's reputation shot through the roof, and although a commercial crossover had never been anticipated, in 1998 'Universal Nation' by push took the world by storm, winning several dance awards, and undoubtedly being recognized as one of the classic records of the trance era. His Push follow up single, 'Strange World', destroyed hundreds of clubs across Europe, in the same vein as 'Universal Nation'. This was followed by yet another blockbuster, 'The Legacy' once again topping all dance charts across Europe. Over the years Mike received several music awards including best club singles and best dance-producer. Mike also teamed up and did remixes for Sinead 'O Connor, Moby,Mauro Piccoto,Bom Funk Mc's,Oliver Lieb…This kind of success did not go unnoticed, as M.I.K.E. was asked to DJ at some of the best venues in the world, including: 'Gatecrasher' and 'Godskitchen'in the UK, 'Fura' and 'Vel Farre' in Japan, 'Massive and 'Trance Energy' in Holland, 'Limelight' U.S. and the Berlin Love Parade…are a few to mention… For more information on M.I.K.E. check out his website at Visit the website www.mike.be Be sure to keep an eye out for the new Push album, Electric Eclipse on Bonzai (exclusive tracklisting listed below!): 1° R.E.S.P.E.C.T. 2° Imagine 3° Trance-Parent 4° Electric Eclips 5° Blue Midnight 6° Journey Of Life (Original Mix) 7° Universal Nation 2003 8° TRANCEFORMATION (vs globe) 9° Strange World (Tranquilo¹s Chill Out Mix) 10° United We Stand Trifactor makes his debut on the Broadcast! Few DJ/producers can boast of the unique sound that is Vic’s-deep and intense but with the amazing ability to launch any listener on a groovelicious journey. As a DJ, he has graced many audiences of the world with his style. As a producer, he has given his own flavor to electronic music. Vic was first introduced to the underground scene and sound in the early nineties. Scouring for new musical influences, he chanced upon a pirate radio station playing electronic tracks. And so destiny called. Up until then, this genre was foreign to him but Vic became captivated by it and started to explore the world of beats. In his hometown of Los Angeles, he wove himself into the scene and began picking up on various DJs’ tricks and techniques. In a time when nearly everyone seemed to be striving to become an upcoming DJ, dabbling in the art of spinning seemed overwhelming at first. Yet, by emulating some of his most admired DJs, as well as developing and fine-tuning his own progressive sound, Vic began to make name for himself. Vic also knew that spinning by itself was not enough for him. Indeed, he was no stranger to the studio as he began creating his own progressive tracks through computer-based programs. Now a producer as well as a DJ, he had a renewed fervor to further exploit the world of electronic music. So much so that a hobby soon turned into a career path as Vic delved deeper into it. Soon, he found himself working with DHV Records (no longer affiliated), both spinning as well as helping organize the company’s events. Putting production on hold, Vic released his first CD, Tunnel of Ecstasy. His debut album showcased his master talents, and his continuance on the tables kept audiences hooked on his pulsating sound, as well as gave him the opportunity to play alongside many of today’s top talents. In the summer of 2000, Vic was asked to join Ambrosia 2000 tour in South America. It was during the tour that he recorded and released a second CD, entitled Vision in Creation-Live at the Ambrosia 2000 Tour, Lima, Peru. His groundbreaking style and energy left such a tremendous impact on his South American fans that Vic was asked to return for a solo tour to once again keep the dance floors throbbing with his massive beats. After touring in numerous countries, Vic once again frequented the studio. The array of tracks stemming from the sessions were collected and mastered in his first release with Trilogy, which debuted in the fall of 2001, under TRIFACTOR. The year of 2003 brought Trifactor many new remixes and hype. With remixes of David Bowie’s “Let’s Danceâ€and Erin McKeown “Cosmopolitans†on Nettwerk America, this is only a taste for what 2004 has to offer. Rough Mullar aka Sonorous seems to be the forthcoming man of innovative trance and house style. Back in the middle of the 90’s he started his musical career in punk and rock bands as a trained guitar player. Later on he became more interested in electronic dance music and began to spin records. It was during this time he met Ralph Kyau, a trance music producer for years and a pioneer in the east German techno scene. They formed a partnership and began collaborating on music. Together with Ronski Speed, a good friend and dj, Rough Mullar started to build up an own studio. In 1997 Ralph Kyau and Steven Moebius Albert founded their label euphonic and were looking for fresh innovative stuff and new producers. Rough was signed by euphonic and started making music as Sonorous. The first single "Free Love" became a success in Germany and Switzerland. In 1999 Sonorous' "Did You Ever Dream?" e.p. was released. In 2000 Sonorous rediscovered an amazing yet forgotten tune and created a new more danceable version of "Glass Garden" and it soon became a favorite tune of Paul Van Dyk. In October 2000 the British label Colourbox released the track in the UK. "Glass Garden" and was played by djs like Pete Tong, Boy George, Judge Jules, Graham Gold and Dave Pearce. The latest sonorous single "Protonic" was released in January 2003 with the single "Second Sun" getting a UK release on Lost Language. You can find more info at www.euphonic.de.
