Sander van Doorn debuts on the Broadcast! – Born on the 28th of February 1979, Sam's passion for music already started at a young age. At the age of 16 though, Sam discovered the thru thrill of making music when he played some records for the first time on 2 really bad turntables! This new hobby was to be expanded with producing when he began experimenting with a drum computer at the age of 17. This experimenting resulted in a first release a few years later, which was shortly followed by 2 other releases. Not yet satisfied about these songs, Sam began focusing entirely on how to make the productions sound stronger and better. Influenced by techno, trance and progressive, Sam now worked on creating his own distinctive style. Dynamic, drive and climax are the key features of the new Sam Sharp sound. 100% devotion and full-time quality improvement resulted in the collaboration with Spinnin' Records. This has led to successful productions such as remixes of Ron van den Beuken's "Timeless", E-Graig's "The Beat Goes On", Randy Katana's "One Solid Wave" and many more. After the first remixes came the debut release "Twister" which was shortly followed by numerous other releases under the name of Sander van Doorn, Sandler and of course under the name Sam Sharp. Next week…Armin van Buuren!

Tilt makes their debut on the Broadcast! – Coming soon a swathe of new material from pioneers Tilt. After the success of "The World Doesn't Know" earlier this year, a new single "Twelve" is penciled in for a December release. Followed by the big event, an album due in January Back in the day, Tilt originally began with Mick Parks and Mick Wilson, in Coventry, England. The focal point in the early days was a club called Eclipse; the first club in the UK to get a late license and successfully move the rave ‘indoors’ into the club context that we know today. They became resident djs and it was here that they met Sasha, who proved to be a great inspiration for the boys and gave them the confidence to go on and produce their own material. Their work as a duo (Parks and Wilson) has a long and successful history as both DJs and music producers. They met John Graham, another like-minded Coventrian and set up a band called Tilt in 1993 as a production outfit. They signed to Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto label and the big break came in 1996 with ‘I Dream’ a top 40 hit in the UK. Other tracks were to follow in the success, such as 'My Spirit' and 'Places' and in 1999 Tilt recorded 'Rendezvous' with Paul Van Dyk. Its inclusion on the record breaking Oakenfold Tranceport US CD brought the sound of Tilt to a North American audience. The Perfecto deal ran its course and soon they were signed Red Jerry's Hooj Choons, where they had more success; one of the more successful tracks being 'Invisible’ (a tune recorded with Dom Atkins a.k.a. Grace on vocals), which went top 20. More underground tracks such as 'What's This' and 'The Seduction of Orpheus' followed, both of which featured heavily on dance compilations. John Graham left Tilt in 2002 to concentrate on his Quivver project and Tilt became a duo again. After leaving Hooj Tilt released two further EPs "Headstrong" and "Left Of Centre" which built on their darker, edgier sound. Mick Park had done a lot of work with a young producer/dj Andy Moor` who is known for solo work and also for collaborations such as Leama and Moor, Sworn and Whiteroom. The combination of Mick, Mick and Andy worked so they decided to produce more songs together and subsequently the 24 year old joined Tilt. In 2004 they signed to Lost Language for an album called "Explorer". Harry Lemon returns to the Broadcast! – Harry Lemon aka LEMON8 has been a DJ for quite some time now, whilst producing a soundtrack of a generation at the same time. Model8 - his first ever produced track - is considered to be a classic by many and still sounds fresh today even though it saw it's first release in 1993. The same goes for The Bells Of Revolution, which he created in 1995. As a DJ he became a household name in Holland and abroad, playing the most influential clubs and parties. With all those influences gathered during his 15 years experience as a DJ, he could never be pinpointed to one particular style. His sets were - and still are - raw and eclectic. Moving from club to techno, from progressive to breaks, with the ever-constant denominator of funk. Mind you, not that many people know he once started out as DJ Funkateer before transforming himself into Lemon8 in 1993. From 1999 on, he's been more productive than all the years of music making before. Prior to the successful 'The Inner Sanctuary Sessions', he barely released more than one track every other year, even though they've become instant classics. The Inner Sanctuary Sessions however, are a prime example of an artist who keeps reinventing himself. Following the second progressive wave, late 1999, he managed to create almost an entirely instant recognizable genre within a genre. Today he's considered to be one of the most prolific DJ/Producers this day and age. Ever changing and evolving, Lemon8 has become synonymous with quality. Almost like a trademark, you can see the name Lemon8 on a variety of record sleeves by the best dance labels around across the globe and he's definitely become one of the top remixers in the world. For the past three years he did some 35 remixes for labels ranging from Australia to Switzerland and from the UK to the US. After releasing 'Lose Control' on Bedrock, his single 'New York, New York' has become the best selling record of late 2002 in his native Holland and, again, became an instant classic worldwide. In 2003 Harry released his album called 'The Inner Sanctuary Sessions'. The album contains 20 original tracks and remixes from a 2-year period and proves the fact that he's not only an outstanding producer, but an excellent DJ as well. It even won him the 'Cool Award' for Best Album as voted by Cool Magazine readers in South America where he came out on top beating John Digweed, Satoshi Tomiie and even Coldplay. In 2004 he founded Bandung records with the crew from Armada Music and the first release called 'Sanctuary' by Origene was an instant success topping the charts worldwide. At this time Harry Lemon is busy doing studio work for new tracks and playing records in all corners of the world. And did you know that... ...Harry’s parents are a half Indonesian, half British Father and a Dutch mother. ...He lives in Rotterdam, Holland. ...Lemon is his true surname, but Harry is not. It's Henry actually. ...Harry worked with Tiesto in a record shop for several years. ...Harry's favorite artists are: Joni Mitchell, Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Gustav Holst. Be sure to log on to www.djlemon8.com for more info! James Holden joins the Broadcast! – James Holden is far from your average DJ-producer. With his can’t-be-arsed-to-make-an-appointment-with-my-hairdresser shaggy hair and vintage Judas Priest t-shirts (with authentic holes) he sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the clean-cut shorthaired bloke’s bloke DJs whose unremarkable faces adorn the pages of the dance music press. (“I don’t trust anyone who is cleaner than myself!†jokes James). 2003’s collaboration with vocalist Julie Thompson, “Nothingâ€, was picked up by legendary UK house label Loaded, yet proclaimed by trance legend Tiesto to be his tune of the year. James has remixed everything from Crosstown Rebels electro-house to Positiva dance-pop; New Order to Britney Spears; Timo Maas dirty breaks to System 7 psy-trance; fast-rising young upstart Nathan Fake to Kirsty Hawkshaw’s timeless classic “Fine Dayâ€. Meanwhile “A Break in the Cloudsâ€, the debut release on his own Border Community label, has become an underground European techno classic, still selling by the thousand a whole year after release, making its way onto compilations from Marco Bailey and Monika Kruse, and winning Holden a firm following amongst the ever forward-thinking German dance fraternity. James’ own DJ sets embrace the same spirit of eclecticism as his productions, uniting his own tracks and remixes with acid house, techno, electro and down tempo melodies, as demonstrated on last year’s groundbreaking Balance 005 mix CD. “Aphex Twin doing Ferry Corsten up the bum†is James’ current (rather unsavoury) description of choice. On the borders of everything yet at the same time accessible enough to be slap bang in the middle of it all, Holden’s own steadfast musical vision and his often-unorthodox fusion of tracks, which the purists have traditionally grouped, into distinct genres have won him dedicated followers the world over. One of a handful of young DJs who have been allowed to rise up the ranks in recent years whose age bears more relation to that of the majority of club punters, the coming year promises business as usual, taking in every corner of Europe, a tour of Australia and Asia and regular trips to the USA. James’ sets are always topped off with a huge helping of previously unheard fresh young production talent, many of whom have found a home on his Border Community label. In just one year the label has gained a reputation as a breeding ground for similarly free-spirited genre-benders, with every release fusing solid dance floor rockers with leftfield ambient interpretations and handy dj tools. “Border Community is my favourite thing that I do at the moment,†says James. “It is really rewarding seeing the young artists we release go on to do great things.†Names like Nathan Fake, Petter and The MFA are now following James’ lead and already beginning to leave their own unique indelible imprints on the production world. James is also keen to take his troop of multi-talented live acts and DJs on the road with him, bringing the Border Community road show to a town near you. Still only 25 years old, James Holden now finds himself exactly where he wants to be. As the digital producer par excellence he is blazing a trail through as yet uncharted territory, showing those who follow in his wake how it can, and should, be done. As a DJ he gets to travel the world, surprising and delighting in equal measures, and enlarging his band of followers at every port of call. And at the helm of his own buzz label Border Community he is proving himself to be quite the A&R man, discovering like-minded souls to help turn his musical vision into reality and peddling something a little different to the record-buying public. Underlying the three components of the James Holden recipe for success is an unerring belief in his own vision and a refusal to do things the way others tell him they always have been done. He is well into the process of carving out a niche all of his very own, and is not about to let anyone stop him now. Markus Schulz Top 10 (in no particular order) 1. Hammer & Bennet- Language 2. The Flash Brothers debut on the Broadcast! – The 3 brothers - Ruven, Ilan and Shmuel Flaishler are one of the pioneers of house/progressive, tech house & electro house music in the Israeli dance music scene. They are situated today in Tel Aviv, but originally from the isolated town of Nazareth in Israel (where Jesus was born). But there's no room for sibling rivalry in this trio as they all share the same passion for producing quality music. As teenagers at school, they used to listen to the most upfront music in all genres, especially electronic. Their venture into the world of dance music moved forward seriously when Ruven studied to become a sound engineer and producer at the leading school of music in Tel-Aviv, while Shmuel focused in computers and Ilan was strongly into clubs, labels and DJing. It was only a matter of time before they set up their own professional studio in Nazareth and afterwards in Tel Aviv. Their big break came in 1997 when they met DJ Choopie, who signed them to his label Agnosia Records right after listening to the first demo he received from them. Initial success worldwide came in 98 when one of Flash's earlier productions 'Amazonas' was signed to Germany's label Dos or Die and backed by DJs such as: Tiesto, Scott Bond, John Kelly, Brandon Block, and Graham Gold, to name a few. Another one followed in the Netherlands’s under TBN with 4-track ep on the progressive trance tip. Afterwards the brothers released their first solo artist album "Flash" as a double 19 tracks mixed cd album on Agnosia records in 2000, which counted as the first Israeli club music artist album in the country. The biggest highlight for the brothers’ career came out in the beginning of 2001 by signing their tracks to Perfecto Records and Bedrock Records. Their much anticipated UK / Worldwide mix cd compilation on Silver Planet has been out since February called "Flash Brothers presents Fear Of A Silver Planet 2" and they are the first Israeli electronic artist to release a mix compilation on a UK label. The brothers had a great year in 2004 with several projects including a remix of The Eurythmics and a special WMC Miami anthem called ‘amen’ signed to Oxyd records and the UK dance label ‘Direction’. ‘Amen’ is considered to be one of the top 20 dance anthems of this summer in Ibiza! Moreover the guys also have just been voted as #71 on DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJs of 2004. www.flash-brothers.com Mark Norman joins the Broadcast! – Mark Norman are fast becoming recognised as two of the hottest artists around, with their unique sound and technical ability. Mark Norman comprises of Mark de Jong and Norman Lenden. Since joining BPM dance in 2000 they have released tracks on the Silver Premium and Jinx labels and continue to receive huge support from the top spinners across the globe. They are responsible for the huge track 'Overkill' which has been championed by every major trance DJ around and reached number one in the Dutch Dance Charts. Other tracks include 'Total Seduction', 'Faith' and 'Stream', which was featured on the Tiesto DVD - Another day at the Office. These tracks also proved massively popular with DJs including Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Marco V and Paul Van Dyk. At the 2003 Dutch Dance Awards Mark Norman were named by Award Winner DJ Tiesto as his hot prediction for 2004, a huge achievement for these talented young artists. Tiesto again put his confidence in Mark Norman when he gave them the chance to mix the latest edition of the massively popular 'In Trance We Trust' series on Black Hole Recordings. Signed to the globally recognised label 'Blackhole Recordings' they aim to bring us more of the excellent productions we have already heard from them and follow in the footsteps of Tiesto himself. Recent productions 'Phantom Manor' and 'Rush' highlighted this talent once more as the tracks went straight into the Dutch Dance Chart at the Number One position - The fifth time in a row for Mark Norman! They also did a lot of successful remixes for artists of the like of Tiesto, Blank & Jones, Marc et Claude, DJ Sammy and many more… As a DJ, Mark Norman regularly perform at the highest profile events and festivals worldwide. With their typical Mark Norman sound they aim to create an energetic and emotional atmosphere to rock any crowd. 2004 has already seen them take to the decks and many of the most prolific parties across the globe including Gatecrasher, Passion, Slinky, Goodgreef and Tiesto's 'Just Be' Release Party’s in the UK, Trance Energy, Liberation and Mystery Land in Holland further a field to countries including Lebanon, Indonesia, Cyprus, USA, Turkey, Germany, Switzerland and many more. Ready to take on Monday morning, he hits the decks this week armed with brand new tunes and energy to spare. Be sure to check in this first hear all that is hot and new through the world of EDM DJ Fire debuts on the Broadcast! – As Jurgen Leyers, formerly known as Dj Energy, would take it upon himself to entertain the masses with his musical wizardry behind the turntables at school, it came as no shock that his passion would one day take a professional turn. Gradually, he exchanged his school performances, musically wide ranged as they were, for full blown dance dj sets. When he joined the crew of Rave FM (1993), it became apparent that his true passion had become the electronically spun sounds of an up and coming new Belgian vibe. Guest performances at Belgium's better dance clubs were soon to follow and his sets at venues in Germany (Dorian Gray, Frankfurt/ Euphoria Rave, Hannover), The Netherlands (First Flash to Eden, Mysteryland '99, Trance Buddha and Ministry of Dance) and Switzerland (Highway) clearly illustrated that Fire had become a dj of international esteem. Meanwhile he started playing at "The Qu", "The Hole", "Bel Air", "Fauna" and "Club X" as resident Dj and performed several guest-dj sets at "La Scala", "Extreme", "Zillion", "BBC", "Illusion" and "Cherrymoon", to name but a few. His first efforts as a producer (1997) were soon rewarded when Fire teamed up with Dimitri Dewever and Francis van Mechelen (Francis better known as Cisko Kid). This first project, "Energy Source", was a small hit in the clubs and charted in the official Belgian dance chart. His breakthrough as a producer became obvious when subsequent team efforts between Fire and other producers (such as Dimitri Dewever, Laurent Veronnez and M.I.K.E.) resulted in top 10 positions in the dancecharts, the most succesfull of which were "Fire & Ice" and a number of their remixes... For instance, their remix of Sonic Inc's "The Taste of Summer" was number 1 for 2 weeks in the Belgian Dance Charts. Currently Fire is playing as a guest-dj at several different locations in Belgium and Holland. Up to the end of the year 2003 he held a residency in an afterclub called Rockefeller in Holland. He was one of the residents in the main hall where he played every Sundaymorning. In 2002 Fire played on a truck on the Love Parade in Berlin, a big Bonzai-night in Scotland (UK) and on the Summerboat party in Oslo, Norway... This past year saw him playing at leading clubs in Hamburg (Germany), Zurich (Switzerland) and he also held a residency in Dutch club Club-X. The first half of 2004 saw him playing as a resident in one of Belgium's leading clubs Cherrymoon. New releases include a new Fire & Ice and Dj Fire. The first 3 Dj Fire-releases did pretty good, considering they were not that commercial. All three reached top 20-positions in the Belgian dancecharts and were on playlists of all major trancejocks. His remixes on tracks of Paragon and Fire & Ice were well received and played by many... Other collaborations with new artists are planned. And there is more to come... Filo & Peri return to the Broadcast! – Synchronicity: its an occurence that has baffled and intruiged philosophers, religious scholars, and scientists for thousands of years. It is mentioned here because the story of 5Knuckle Studios is rooted in it. What started out as a hazy dream became more and more feasible over time, mostly through the occurance of some important and seemingly related events. Our story begins with one Domenick Filopei. An energetic youth from the Morris Park section of The Bronx, Domenick was a child who always seemed destined for great things. An accomplished piano player by age 12, Domenick dreamed of someday making music his life; he wasn't sure how, but he had a feeling that something would come along and enlighten him. Fast forward a few years to high school, and Domenick Filopei meets Dominic LeVoci. Although they lived in the same neighborhood their entire lives, they never met until then. The two quickly became friends, but at the time, LeVoci was thoroughly uninterested in music, bearing in mind tortuous childhood piano lessons that resulted in a mastery of old Italian folk tunes. Filopei's dreams continued to simmer. Meanwhile, other events were happening to the north. Unbeknownst to the Doms, a young man named Bo Pericic of Ardsley, New York, was also experimenting with music. His father was an avid fan of early electronic acts, and Bo found himself listening to the likes of Jean Michelle Jarre and Tangerine Dream at a very young age. When he turned 6, his parents bought him The Miracle. The Miracle was the keyboard that you hooked up to your old 8-bit Nintendo which taught you how to play music through different games. Immediately hooked, Bo spent hours upon hours playing, trying to write his own songs instead of read notes. With the seed planted, Bo's interest grew over the years as he mined the catalogs of classic artists such as The Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy. By the time Bo discovered the realm of trance, he had started to experiment with production, setting the stage for what would happen in the future. . . By the year 2000, Dom and Dom had discovered the American rave scene and the glories of club culture. Finding their utopia in the form of dance music, they decided that this was their true calling. Their course was set. . . After graduation, the guys scored jobs in the IT field. Filopei's bedroom studio had now reached living room sized proportions, and the decibel level threatened to have him disowned by his normally accommodating family. At the same time, LeVoci found himself at a crossroads; if he was going to get into electronic music, he would have to build himself a respectable setup, and fast. While LeVoci started down the long road of learning, Filopei resumed his production, which by this time was reaching new heights. It was then that the paths of Bo Pericic and Domenick Filopei first crossed. . . Filopei had listened to a Pericic production off of Trance.nu, and admired Bo's playing style and orchestration. After a few conversations, he invited him to 5Knuckle. After just one week, the two had created a track entitled "Elevation". The production was so good that they decided to work on more projects as a team, something that neither committed to lightly. An industrious individual who could match Filopei's frenetic work pace as well as LeVoci's more relaxed vibe, Bo quickly became a fixture at the studio. While becoming increasingly creative in his playing, Bo displayed a keen knowledge of "the scene" as well as where he would like to take it. His grand visions sat well with 5Knuckle's mission statement, and the young producers dreamed of the day where they could rock floors with the very music they themselves had created. Days and then weeks passed, with Filopei and Bo clocking serious hours in front of the console. Even LeVoci, who had a habit of disappearing without explanation for days on end, found himself devoting more time to the mixing desk, spurred on by this resurgence of creativity. After two months of intense production, Bo and Filopei finally caught a break. After giving "Elevation" to Armin Van Buuren at the Roxy nightclub, they soon received an email from Armin himself (coincidentally on Bo's 18th birthday) stating that he would like to sign two of the tracks from the Filopei/Pericic collaboration, now known simply as "Filo & Peri". 5Knuckle Studios had finally reached the next level. . . Present Day: The Clouds Burst Arriving at the present, 5Knuckle Studios is now firing on all cylinders. Filo & Peri have virtually locked themselves in the studio, producing tracks that could easily rate as some of the best trance to ever come out of America. Meanwhile, LeVoci is coming into his own, refining his own unique sound that will soon be tested on the dancefloor. With a steady schedule of releases and a mission to establish America on the trance scene, Filo & Peri have seen the industry take an increasing interest in their product. Be on the lookout for them, as you'll surely hear their tracks being hammered by a select group of renowned DJs, and soon by the boys themselves. With a sage blend of anticipation and determination, Filo & Peri look forward to the future as well as the opportunities it will bring. . . 5Knuckle - he's new kid on the block, and the message is in the name - delivering mind-rocking music to a dancefloor near you. Be sure to tune in for the first hour to catch all that is fresh and new and setting dance floors on fire world-wide! Andrew K returns to the Broadcast! – Born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece, Andrew has shown his interest in music since the first years of his life. In an early age, he takes up piano and theory courses. International music, as well as collecting records have been amongst his first hobbies; therefore it was only a matter of time to express his interest in mixing and DJing. The first exposure to the crowd came through his friends´ birthday parties and small underground private raves. To move things to the next level, he gets involved with composing and starts producing his own tracks, which caught Dj Leoni´s interest, who later signs Andrew to his label, Underground Lessons Recordings. Operating as a management agency as well, Underground Lessons help him to make his way to the first proper-organized gigs, and attract public attention. Starting from local bars and smaller clubs, as well as joining Leoni to his weekly radio show, makes him enter a new phase in his dj career. Although his track "Reflections" which was originally signed with ULR never sees the light of release, the same label signs and releases "Inception EP", which was the first product of Andrew K´s collaboration with Simon Oates who hails from the UK. Featuring three original tracks which range from chiller beats to trancy patterns, their EP is getting aired at most of the local and internet radio stations. It is that summer when Andrew K makes it into the top 10 rank for new talent djs, in a competition run by Global Dj Broadcast. His set is selected through hundreds of entries from all over the world and makes a big impression. The man behind the contest, Markus Schulz, said for Andrew: "G:Pal has some company in representing Greece. This set was chalk full of energy. Nice mixes and a solid track listing to boot!" From now on, his sets are hosted in the biggest Greek and internet radios, (Proton radio, Eccenticbeats, Global Dj Broadcast, Safari FM, Dance Nation and Di.fm to name a few) while he also appears as guest dj to a variety of events all over his country, Greece. Spending endless hours in the studio, either alone or with his partners Simon Oates and Simuck, leads to the creation of many tracks that easily get signed on international labels. At that point, "Jataka", falls under the attention of Markus Schulz. This track was intended to be released on Underground Lessons, but Markus had something else on his mind. He spends a massive amount of time online with Andrew, helping him to improve the track. He makes the final arrangements and includes it in his mix compilation "Coldharbour Sessions", released on Armada. International recognition came along, and more labels sign Andrew for his productions and remixes, as well as license his tracks for mix compilations. At present, Andrew continues providing the dance scene with new productions and remixes, as well as playing in major events. In the meanwhile, he operates as A&R Manager for Pure Substance Records. Still in a young age, with an impressive discography in labels such as BluRoom, Nascent, Armada and SOG Records, he definitely makes a name to keep an eye and ear open for. Kosmas Epsilon debuts on the Broadcast! – Kosmas Epsilon, born in the small town of Xanthi, in Greece, is considered to be one of the most talented & upcoming producers of the year 2004. After having his remix of FC Kahuna's “Hayling†top-charted by James Holden and included in his Balance 005 compilation, things turned out being a lot easier for Kosmas to showcase his productions and DJing skills. His tracks have already gained support and are being played by renowned Dj’s such as Sasha, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Dave Seaman, James Holden, Hernan Cattaneo, Desyn Masiello, Markus Schulz, Pete Tong, to name but a few. Also, 2004 saw him winning the title of the best new Greek Dj, which also quite increased the number of gigs where he has been asked to play. He has as well played in many cities in Greece, has a monthly residency at Venue Athens, was guest at Mexico City for gigs and played alongside such talented Dj’s as: Pete Tong, Phil Thompson, Lucien Foort, Smokin' Jo, M.A.S. Collective, Viton & Jose Zamora ...Kosmas is also keeping a lot of surprises for fans of Electronic Progressive music in the next months to come, so keep an eye out for him, wherever he spins. Airwave returns to the Broadcast! – Laurent Véronnez aka (DJ) Airwave lived in Brussels until he was 20 years young, experimenting with computers and sysnthesizers at his home. After sending his first demo to Lightning Records – the original home of the infamous Bonzaï label -, he became one of the main artists of the new age in electronic music. After the first small successes with PLG, North Pole, Montera and Magnetix, he had his first breakthrough with the first release of Fire & Ice, produced together with DJ Fire. He decided to move to Antwerp so he could concentrate more on his productional work. The first results were new releases for Fire & Ice, Planisphere and Meridian. After that he evolved more and more and faster and faster becoming a real professional artist by producing Airwave as a main project carrying his producers name known as L-Vee. All that together with the launch back then of Bonzaï in the UK, made him in an instant a star in the trance progressive music scene. Besides all that he was also commissioned to make remixes for the likes of Yves Deruyter, Da Hool, Aurora, Solar Stone, Blue Alphabet, Push, Jones & Stephenson, … Laurent has always essentially been influenced by the roots of electronic music, since the early beginning, from Kraftwerk to FSOL or great producers like Jarre, Orbital, Oliver Lieb and one of his big admirations BT, …All of them are still taking his breath away. He defines his own musical style as “pure electronic dance music with a sniff of electronica and trance and progressive sounds†which is a result of many years of discovering, getting inspired by his musical heroes and being guided by his record label Bonzaï, whom he calls “the gods of music & technologyâ€. Now a new era is born, after the disappearance of his main label home Lightning Records, he is back more than ever as being a co-owner and A & R for Banshee Worx, the newly formed record label together with DJ/producer star Yves Deruyter and Fly (owner of Bonzaï) and Marnik (A & R + international from the former Lightning Records). His first release through the renewed Bonzaï was “When Things Go Wrongâ€, part of the original album “Believeâ€. Now one year later after the disappearance of Lightning Records, his album is available again in a new adapted version containing the original album version and a 2nd CD containing unreleased tracks and mixes. Nikola Gala joins the Broadcast! Nick Galatsopoulos aka Nikola Gala was born in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1980. A computer freak from his early age until now and being a big fan of technology lead him to work for major computer companies in his hometown, but music was always a passion for Nikola. Inspiration for his first productions in the early '90s was electronic bands like "The Prodigy", "2Unlimited" and "Underworld". Just a "small" computer wasn't enough for Nikola to let him release his music ideas, so building a home studio was the next step. While setting up the studio he got into a sound engineering school where he got some very important lessons about "the sound" in general. After finishing school his first productions came out with a special touch of trance feeling and technoid rhythm and got signed by a German label group named "Sha-Ka-Reeâ€, using "Source Unknown" as his first artist name. His first album release "Am-Receiver" in 2001, established him as one of the upcoming producers in the international electronic dance scene, while at the same time he had started his live appearances as a dj, at clubs around the world, in places like Tokyo, Tel Aviv, Cologne and Skopje. In 2002 the prog sound started to be an influence on Nikola and as a result he started his production career. His first production, as Nikola Gala, came out from Sprout Music on a singe 12" with 2 deep progressive tribal tracks, "Body-Soul-Harmony" and "Deeper Shades". Nikola Gala, as an artist, became very popular after the co-release with John Con of the track "Swing 2 Harmony". It was included in the "Local Underground" compilation from the Greek dance label Planetworks and in April 2004 was picked up by Ultra for the Trance: 4 compilation. Nikola is very busy with his productions and remixes at the moment and more releases are coming up on several labels like Subliminal, Loops Noo, Planetworks, Deep and Intrinsic records with already great feedback from music lovers and dj's around the world like Markus Schulz, Sasha, Pete Tong, Anthony Pappa, James Holden and many more... His Dj career continues with much success while Nikola's monthly residency at the "We Love Fridays" (www.mylos.gr) nights in Thessaloniki, a night that has already became legendary. Just as Aussie acts have almost single-handedly proven that there’s life in the rotten corpse of rock’n’roll yet, fellow antipodeans Infusion are here to put to rest any discussion of electronic music’s imminent demise. Take a listen to the group’s upcoming second album, or witness one of their dynamic live shows, and you’ll agree that reports of dance music’s death have been greatly exaggerated. On the other hand, reports of Infusion’s excellence are anything but inaccurate. While the music press has been generous in its praise of the Wollongong-bred trio (comprising Frank Xavier, Manuel Sharrad and Jamie Stevens), it certainly hasn’t indulged in flights of hype fancy. With Infusion, there’s no need for hyperbole. Stating a widely-held belief, premier Sydney newspaper The Sydney Morning Herald described Infusion as “Australia’s best live act†(NB: no qualification of ‘best live dance act’ - just “Australia’s best live actâ€, full stop). Offshore, Muzik Magazine labelled the band “a force to be reckoned withâ€, and Mixmag portrayed Infusion as “exciting, and funky as f**k.†“Exciting†really is the word when it comes to summing up Infusion’s live gigs. With a solid pedigree in live performance, these guys consistently deliver the goods onstage. Why else would they be perennial faves for major domestic festivals like Big Day Out and Splendour in the Grass? How else could they pull off the coup of being booked for such prestigious international outings as this year’s Roskilde Festival (where they’ll be the only Australian act on the bill) and Creamfields UK, or Glastonbury 2004 (where they performed twice)? Then, there are the recent slots at Creamfields in Argentina, guest gigs at top UK clubs including Renaissance and Fabric, and a relentless touring schedule that sees the trio regularly tripping through Europe, the US and Asia. The first single from their impending, second LP, Girls Can Be Cruel (the equally rockin’, angst-ridden antithesis to Are You Gonna Be My Girl? from fellow “so-hot-right-now†Melbourne band, Jet) blew up across the airwaves and – lauded by the superstar DJ élite – did damage to dance floors globally. And this is only the beginning. With the release of their first major label LP (due out in 2005), backed by a relentless, no-sleep-‘til-stardom touring schedule, Infusion are set to cause seismic activity on a transcontinental scale. Forget backward-looking, Xerox rock and by-the-1800-numbers pre-fab pop – the 21st Century belongs to Infusion. Markus Schulz Top 10 (in no particular order) 1. Now revived and refreshed, he has headed back in the studio with renewed enthusiasm and inspiration and has given us two amazing hours. Be sure to tune in for some fantastic new tunes and phenomenal mixes. Johan Gielen joins the Broadcast! What’s the most important thing to know about Johan Gielen? That he mixes deep melodic trance with a twist of progressive and techhouse? That he was born in 1968 in the Belgium town of Mol or that he put his first record on the turntable at the age of 17? Or perhaps it’s that he established himself as a producer under the disguise of Airscape and remixed for the likes of Boy George, Delirium, Tiësto, Chicane and Safri Duo? Then again, there's that debut album 'Beauty of Silence' which he pieced together with his mate and co-producer Sven Maes to rave reviews. And, as if that wasn’t enough, there’s the fact that in 2002 he saw his name entering the top 50 in the highly acclaimed DJ Magazine Top 100? What could possibly be more important? If you should know only one fact about this man it's that this guy actually swims with dolphins! We’re not sure what influence this has had but it must have been a positive one – netting over thirty-five thousand fish-faced punters recently at the Amsterdam Arena soccer stadium and over forty-five thousand at Dance Valley. From Las Vegas to Auckland, Ibiza to Vancouver, Gielen proves himself time and time again. And with the third part of his successful 'Recorded' series being released thru Dutch ID&T Records, you'll be able to see for yourselves why this guy is one of the top trance DJs in the world. Sultan returns to the Broadcast! From the desert heat of his country of origin to the winter rigours of Canada, Sultan has travelled a road in his image - out of the ordinary. After living in Kuwait, Cyprus and Egypt Sultan moved to Montreal, Canada in 1996 to pursue an education in Mechanical Engineering and Business. Inspired by the vitality of the nightlife and his passion for music, he quickly immersed himself into the house scene of his adoptive city by discovering the power of events such as Cream and the Hang the DJ Tour. Little by little, his interest for structures irrepressibly shifted from engineering to music. In 1999, he purchased his first turntables together with the firm intention of standing out in a jungle of DJs. From the start, his approach was quite different since it was influenced by the multiple cultures assimilated in his native countries. While the Montreal scene had ears only for techno-accented house, Sultan became the most prominent representative of a style whose popularity remains embryonic - tribal/progressive house. The following year, his favourite music asserted itself as one of the most popular trends in the underground dance music scene. In July 2000, Sultan became the weekly Level resident at club Living opening and playing alongside such DJs as Deep Dish, Sander Kleinenberg, Danny Howells, Saeed and Palash, Nick Warren, Lee Burridge and many more. The wheel - and vinyl - began seriously spinning. In the wake of his DJ successes, Sultan created his own studio in the summer of 2001 in order to unleash his talent as a producer. Once again, the results were tremendous. His first-ever production, "Primal Instinct," was signed to Chug Records that same year and garnered much praise. The door was open. He leapt over the threshold with obvious pleasure and multiplied releases on various labels - including Deep Dish’s Yoshitoshi label and John Digweed's Bedrock Breaks Label. During the winter of 2001, he notably entered studio collaboration with colleague Tone Depth (The Greek). Further to regularly calling on the vocal talent of singer Stephanie Vézina, Sultan now has more than 30 titles released and unreleased under his belt including releases under the aliases of Soul Tan and Jiva (Sultan and Ned Shepard). Markus Schulz starts us off! After just arriving home, Markus immediately hit the studio to record this amazing set for us! Inspired by his last night at Amnesia in Ibiza, Markus took to the decks and just had to throw down some of the best of his summer tour. Welcome home, Markus! Above & Beyond join the Broadcast! Above & Beyond have been described by Radio 1’s Pete Tong as ‘the UK’s new trance superstars’ and through a combination of genre-defining productions and uplifting DJ sets, seem destined for the summit of the global trance scene. Their recent Radio 1 Essential Mix was described by Radio 1 as one of the most popular they’ve aired (based on listen back figures), meanwhile the trio’s highly respected Anjunabeats label has become a firm favorite for the world’s top DJ’s. Recent Above & Beyond releases have included ‘No One On Earth’ - which earned massive support from the likes of Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk and Markus Schulz - and the all-conquering Tranquility Base ‘Surrender’, a huge anthem for Armin Van Buuren among others. On the remix side, A&B (aka Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamaki) have been lucky enough to remix Dido, Ferry Corsten and Delerium over the last few months. Away from the studio, the guys are have been busy promoting their new mix album via an Anjunabeats Worldwide DJ Tour, taking in over 15 dates and countries. ‘Anjunabeats Volume Two, Mixed by Above & Beyond’ (out Sept 20th) is a showcase of the best music played on A&B’s weekly Ministry of Sound radio show and signed to Anjunabeats. For more info on the mix album and tour dates, check www.aboveandbeyond.nu / www.anjunabeats.com Andrew K returns to the Broadcast! Born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece, Andrew has shown his interest in music since the first years of his life. In an early age, he takes up piano and theory courses. International music, as well as collecting records have been amongst his first hobbies; therefore it was only a matter of time to express his interest in mixing and DJing. The first exposure to the crowd came through his friends’ birthday parties and small underground private raves. To move things to the next level, he gets involved with composing and starts producing his own tracks, which caught Dj Leoni’s interest, who later signs Andrew to his label, Underground Lessons Recordings. Operating as a management agency as well, Underground Lessons helped him to make his way to the first proper-organised gigs, and attract public attention. Starting from local bars and smaller clubs, as well as joining Leoni to his weekly radio show, makes him enter a new phase in his dj career. Although his track ‘Reflections†which was originally signed with ULR never sees the light of release, the same label signs and releases “Inception EPâ€, which was the first product of Andrew K’s collaboration with Simon Oates who hails from the UK. At that point, “Jatakaâ€, falls under the attention of Markus Schulz. This track was intended to be released on Underground Lessons, but Markus had something else on his mind. He spends a massive amount of time online with Andrew, helping him to improve the track. He makes the final arrangements and includes it in his mix compilation “Coldharbour Sessionsâ€, released on Armada. International recognition came along, and more labels sign Andrew for his productions and remixes, as well as well-known djs license his tracks for mix compilations. At present, Andrew continues providing the dance scene with new productions and remixes, as well as playing in major events. In the meanwhile, he operates as A&R Manager for Pure Substance Records. Still in a young age, with an impressive discography in labels such as BluRoom, Nascent, Armada and more, he definitely makes a name to keep an eye and ear open for. James Grant makes his debut on the Broadcast! James Grant looks after A&R at Anjunabeats and works with artists such as Above & Beyond, Leama & Moor, Super8, Smith & Pledger and Endre. James first discovered a love for dance music as a teenager after a friend played him a copy of Paul Oakenfold’s legendary Goa mix. He became a fan of acts like The Orb, BT, Underworld, FSOL and Daft Punk and first began DJing on a weekly radio show at University. Aside from his label commitments, James is a resident on some of the Anjunabeats UK tour dates and has also continued his interest in radio via ‘The Runa Sessions’, the Ministry of Sound radio show he co-presents with Ben Lost (www.ministryofsound.com). Meanwhile on the production side, expect a collaboration with Ben and Peter Dafnous to surface soon, plus a project with Miika Eloranta, aka Super8. You can catch James alongside Above & Beyond, Smith & Pledger and Super8 at the Anjunabeats Volume Two album launch party at Turnmills in London on September 30th. Be sure to chek him out as he hits Portrush in Ireland and Amnesia in Ibiza one more time before heading home! Max Graham joins the Broadcast! Someone once called Max Graham's rise to fame "meteoric". From 2001-2004 he went from local to international through a couple of lucky breaks and years of hard work. Although born in the UK, Max began his career in an unlikely house music city: Ottawa, Canada. Max and his friends created a small Sunday night party which, through hard work turned into the legendary Atomic nightclub. This residency (from 1995 through 1999) paved the way for Max's diverse sound, inspired by the Sasha-esque progressive music of the time. It was at this venue that he honed his skills with weekly 6-hour sets. After gaining attention in eastern Canada, Max decided it was time to take things to the next level and he subsequently relocated to Vancouver to write music. During this period, from late 1999 to 2001, Max wrote the hit songs that put his career into overdrive: Airtight, Tell You, Barnone, Shoreline and remixes such as Bullit's - Cried to Dream , just to name a few. Some of Max's original songs were chosen to grace the mix CDs of the best in the business, including Tiesto and former tour-mate Paul Oakenfold. Airtight held the coveted #1 spot on the influential Balance Record Pool chart and was nominated for a Juno Award - the Canadian version of the Grammy - in 2001. After gaining recognition as a producer, Max was asked to remix tracks for acts such as Delerium and Uberzone as well as for reputable record labels like Hooj Choons. It was these songs that helped gain the attention of some of the biggest industry players. Max was offered a monthly residency at the world famous UK club Gatecrasher; he was regularly flown from Canada to Sheffield to open for Paul van Dyk and others. In addition to renowned clubs vying for Max's turntable time, Paul Oakenfold promptly called and offered Max tour dates as well as gigs in the world's clubbing capital, Ibiza. Although it was his original material that first got Max noticed, his diverse style, coupled with unique mixing and scratching performances, has been instrumental in impressing the masses on a global scale. His successes became evident when in 2001 Max was voted #23 in the world in DJMag's Top 100 DJs poll, the highest new entry that year. This poll, which is based strictly on public votes, is considered the most prestigious and accurate gauge of a DJ's popularity. Max has not left the top 100 since 2001. Max has logged almost one million air miles with regular gigs in Asia, Australia, Europe and residencies with Spundae in Los Angeles and San Francisco. In 2003 Max created his own night - SHINE - which consists of 8 and 10 hour sets in Toronto and Montréal respectively. Gaining momentum since its inception, the SHINE concept, complete with visuals and décor, draws people from other Canadian cities and even the US. Max's career has truly come full circle as SHINE also makes a monthly stop in his old hometown of Ottawa, where it all began. In 2004 Max has already toured over 50 dates for his new mix CD Shine , released his first single on his new label Shinemusic, and has produced new tracks that are being played by industry leader Sander Kleinenberg, Grammy award winners Deep Dish, and BBC Radio One's Pete Tong. Check out www.maxgraham.com and www.shinemusic.com for more! Perry O'Neil returns to the Broadcast! How do you know if someone is really talented when there are so many ways to define it? When it comes to making music and playing DJ-sets judging 'talent' is personal, like everything that has something to do with creativity. If you are an agent or an A&R manager, it takes a good sense of what may be successful to put faith in a talented person. Armada has found its new star. Meet Dutch DJ/producer Perry O' Neil, Perry is a 26 years old Dutch guy. Spontaneous, cheerful and somewhat curious like many people of his age. He is the rising star at Armada, the record company that aims high with Perry. Armada heard O' Neil's first productions in the beginning of 2003 and signed the first tunes a couple of months later to the record division. David Lewis, partner in Armada, got caught by the unique sound in both Perry's productions and DJ sets so he wanted to work with him as a DJ as well. Although Perry has not released a lot so far, several of his tracks already have been played by DJ's like Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Markus Schulz, Matt Hardwick and Ben Lost. Perry O' Neil is one of those guys who has been spinning for years and years, always dreaming of the day on which he would stand in front of thousands of people that came to see him in particular. There were times that he hesitated about the sense of continuing to pursuit a dream that seemed to hard to realize, but then he was always reminded by himself of his undying love for dancemusic. Then came the interest of Armada in his productions. The style of Perry O' Neil differed from the most other demo's they receive daily and under guidance of Armada Perry succeeded in delivering improved tracks. No wonder his first release on St. John vs Locust (A State of Trance) was a success. But what is that unique sound Perry O' Neil masters? Perry himself describes it as progressive melodic house. Perry: "It is not really trance the way Tiësto and Armin van Buuren play it. My sound is a mixture of different elements of different styles. I like melodic repeating lines, and you can easily hear the tribal influences in my tracks. I always try to put a certain energy in the track, like a kicking bassline or a break that is full of tension which builds up to a climax. During the break I like to see the audience with its eyes closed, lifting off from the dancefloor, only to return when the climax is there. In general you could say I am fond of progressive melodic house." Perry, modest as he is, knows that there is a long way to go but there is a lot of confidence in himself as well. Perry: "If you really want to achieve something, you have to give everything you have to chase that dream. Now that I have that opportunity to build on my career in music, I will capture it with both hands." A career both in producing and DJ-ing that is, for Perry likes the both of them equally. "In both I can put al my creativity and to judge on the reactions of the crowd and the people on internet I am getting better in what I do each day. However, I will always keep both feet firmly on the ground." Being down-to-earth is a quality of character Maykel Piron of Armada appreciates in Perry. No wonder he likes to work with him. Maykel: "Perry has a good ear for music and he is straight forward. Therefore we have asked him to do A&R work for our Electronic Elements label. Whether a demo is sent by a famous producer or a talent, Perry gives his honest opinion. We are glad to have him with us." For Perry himself the most important thing in life is to live it in the most joyful way possible. Perry: "That positive approach of life is something you must have if you want to be a good DJ. No one likes a DJ who has obviously no fun in what he is doing." And Perry certainly shows he is having fun when he is behind the decks. An attitude that, combined with his undeniable talent, may very well make him the next Dutch star. They are Pascal Minnaard, ( age 27) and Ronald Hagen (also age 27). As neighbors they live in Zoetermeer, a little city nearby The Hague, their home base in The Netherlands. Pascal & Ron first met each other in high school. This was the place were they found out that they had the same interest in making music, and started to do some work together. Although they lost contact, they both continued making there music. During that time, Pascal got a record contract at the Dutch label/agency BPM-Dance. Here he made his first track, under his own name on the label 4-Play (Inside a Rainbow) For his second release, he started working under the name Signum. On BPM's biggest label JINX he released: "Flow of Knowledge" "The other side" "Adapter". At this time Pascal met up with Ron again. Ron also signed up with BPM-Dance and they started producing together. Not knowing that this turned out to be a huge success, they released there first track together in 1997 on the JINX label, called "What you got for me", and the record became a huge club anthem. British producer/DJ Scott Mac was interested in working with Signum. So they teamed up and out of that collaboration came "Coming On Strong" which also became a huge clubhit. This established their name as Trance producers. After that they were frequently asked for a lot of remixes, such as: Lost Tribe- " Game Master" (Hooj Choons ) Blank & Jones - "After Love" ATB - " 9pm (Till I come)" (Ministry of Sound) KayCee - " Escape " (Additive) Straydog (Dj Tiesto) - " Mirror " (Black Hole) Alice Deejay & DJ Jurgen - "Better of Alone" (Violent Records) Yves the Ruyter - "To the Rhythm" (Bonzai) Spacebrothers - " Shine " (Manifesto) and many more. After finishing all these remixes they started focusing on there own productions. They came back with "Solar Level " and after that even stronger with "First Strike", which received support from many leading DJ's/producers including, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten , Dj Tiesto and 00' Flemming. This hit was soon followed by some more, "Cura Me", "Second Wave" & "Third Dimension" , which where all released on Jinx. And their latest remix for "Oceanlab" called "Beautiful Together", already showing signs of being another massive track, will soon be released on "Captivating Records". They also produce under the alias "D-Factor" (The Wrong Shake) . Pascal & Ron aka Signum have also been busy with their DJ career. They played at some of the worlds most famous clubs in the world, in Japan, Ibiza, UK , Ireland , Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Mallorca and Malaysia. In July 2001 they made their U.K. debut with a three hour set at Gatecrasher. Since this impressive debut they've played in U.K.'s best clubs, such as, "Godskitchen", "Slinky" and "Gatecrasher" of course. As well as the great festivals, "Global Gathering", "Homelands", & "Summer Sound System". Signum's sound of euphoric Trance have won many admirers up & down the U.K.. We can say that Signum is becoming one of the most favorite DJ's of the Trance crowd. With loads of plans for the future ; a brand new website ,new massive productions & extended Dj-sets , you'll be seeing a lot of them and so their rise to the top is just beginning !!!!!! Released on Sporadic Groove Records, his first-ever production, "Into Being," was selected by none other than star DJ Paul Oakenfold for his immensely successful album, Another World. Obviously it didn't stop there, history repeated itself with Tone Depth's second production, "Point 7," inspired from the EP Event Horizon, which is once again was commissioned by Oakenfold for his album Traveling. Then, it was John Digweed's turn to discover the talent of the young Montreal producer, when he signed "Rumblefish" on his Bedrock label. Out of his relative anonymity as fast as a speeding bullet, Tone Depth is now considered one of the most promising young artists on the progressive scene. In winter 2001, the start of his studio collaboration with Montreal colleague Sultan marks a milestone. Their first production, "Sagres," featuring singer Stephanie Vezina, is immediately signed by British label Alola Records and is featured on the popular Transport 6 compilation mixed by Trendroïd. Then, Deep Dish's Yoshitoshi label also falls under the spell of the irresistible rhythms created by the Tone Depth (also known as The Greek) and Sultan duo. Indeed, their productions "Rezin" and "Wadi" are also chosen by Deep Dish for the "Toronto" edition of its Global Underground series. "Alive," a solo track by The Greek, and their remix of "Flying" (Valentino) are also featured on this acclaimed album. Very active in the studio, he dedicates the same energy as a DJ with his quarterly residency at Gravity (Montreal), and regular sets at such renowned clubs as Stereo (Montreal), Plus Soda (Greece), and a handful of other international super clubs. Niklas Harding returns to the Broadcast! As we move into the year 2004, a new generation of dj's and producers are invading the scene with skill and talent we've never seen before. Continually striving for perfection and bringing progressive trance to the area both have been his main desires. Acquiring the headlining resident position on Saturday nights at Motor Detroit, voted number one club in America by URB Magazine 2001, launched Kenneth into the spotlight. Headlining Toronto's System Sound Bar and numerous events in Cleveland, New York, Indianapolis and Chicago, Kenneth has moved away from local residencies and has begun to establish himself as a national US headliner. New residencies with Bleu in Detroit, Rampant in Toronto, Spundae, and on Trancesphere Radio have aided him in becoming a force within the international DJ realm. In Detroit he still concentrates on local club promoting and working relentlessly at bringing National and International talent to the scene. Yet with a regular touring schedule across in the US and beyond, KT has still found time to express himself beyond DJing and move into the realms of original production. A recent introduction to Mike Targanski, otherwise known as Elevation of Markus Schulz pres. Elevation- Clear Blue/Somewhere, has lead to a new series of production collaborations spearheaded by their first release, Elevation & Kenneth Thomas- Preen. Preen has already received praise from Paul Oakenfold, Armin van Buuren and has quickly become a favorite on Global DJ Broadcast hosted by Markus Schulz. Early on KT struggled in his home area of Detroit, trying to break through the heavy influences of the Detroit techno scene. As he says, "traditionally this town has not embraced progressive styles of electronic music and has ever so graciously adopted the saying 'Trance Sucks' as its motto in the anti-progressive capital of the World. This is a very techno oriented city that doesn't tend to validate any other form of electronic music. But with the help of my friends, fans and other DJs we work to broaden the horizons of this city or at least reach as many new people as possible." "This is the most amazing sound I have ever encountered, I just want to share it with as many people as possible"-KT www.djkenneththomas.com Elevation returns to the Broadcast! A relative newcomer to the dance music scene, Elevation has seen rapid success through his musical production talents. Born in Detroit, Michigan, in the United States, Elevation's interest in music was visible from the start. He began learning to play the piano and the organ at a very young age and continued with them for several years. Over time, his musical tastes broadened and changed, and in his teens he became intrigued by Turntablism and scratching, which then led him to purchase his first pair of turntables in the winter of 2001. Soon, through his use of those turntables and his contact with the culture that accompanied them, his focus shifted towards electronic dance music. As time passed, Elevation began experimenting with various music production software, while further developing his mixing skills. Ever more dedicated to his art form each day, he began upgrading his equipment and devoted most of his spare time to mixing and producing. Inspired by his favorites, Armin van Buuren and DJ Tiesto, Elevation's production skills truly began to soar in August of 2002, while using the infamous bedroom production software, Fruity Loops. During the course of the following year, he produced countless tracks, many of which became favorites among friends and others with whom he shared his work. Shortly after May of 2003, Elevation upgraded his producing software, rendering him able to unleash the full potential of his talent. Elevation's breakthrough arrived when he submitted a project of his, then entitled Clear Blue Sky, to well-known DJ and producer, Markus Schulz. Schulz, having a keen ear for talent, quickly began work on the track with Elevation, who soon became Schulz's protégé. After working together for a few short weeks, Schulz and Elevation produced the masterpiece of progressive-trance, Clear Blue. Released on the Armada Music imprint Electronic Elements, Clear Blue has seen success worldwide with some of the biggest names in trance today. Now at only 17, Elevation has reached heights he never foresaw. Currently, Elevation is busy juggling time between his intense production schedule and his education. He is working on several projects with Markus Schulz, and continues to compose new productions of his own.
