Yo this party for the past 2 weeks has been rediculous. from opening til closing, party suppose to stop at4am, this shit goes on till 5am. Change of plans this week. The RESIDENT DJS SEAN CORMAC and JOHN CACCIOTORE (the shigs) will be on all night downstairs in garden where theres lots of space to work it. So if your free come thru again. Trying to work on getting some names in there every month or so, last week MERRITT was playing a good set and the shigs were killing the upstairs. So keep your ears open and your knees iced.

Junior And the old Sound Factory...
silverbull replied to WarpdriveNYC's topic in New York / New Jersey
studio 54 was the most famous but it wasnt a musical haven. Most people dont een know the dj was named RICHARD KAZOR (i hope i spelled it correctly) it was all about the flash and celebrities adn stuff. WHILE the LOFT, GALLERY, PARADISE GARAGE was musically driven. And everybody knew the djs name. Some moron even once said "wow i have seen the club of the future everybody with everybody all races and genders" in 1979, guess he missed the memo of the LOFT and SANCUTUARY, and FLAMINGO and PARADISE GARAGE doing it b4 studio. And studios owners steve and ian first club was over in queens called the enchanted garden and loved the gallery and the garage. Nicky siano has some funny stories bout steves sexuality at that time. -

heres what i said on another message board. Was there from 1145pm till about 745 8am. In that time MUSICALLY danny as relentless with a bunch of stuff i couldnt regonize and with some stuff that i thought i did but really didnt know what they were lol. Being surrounded by so many people that i have met over the yrs added to a great night of music. I really hate working on weekends i have a feeling that the party is still goin on right now and im at work near edeath lol. I have never liked crobar from day 1 but will only hear certain djs there. My god i have never been in a room so packed b4 i wonder what the total was like. I do have some complaints though, it was so hot in their and the floors were so sticky from drinks and gods knows what all over the place. But my biggest complaint of all is being stopped twice by security and almost kicked out once because they said i was dealing drugs, WTF. I dont even drink alcohol man. Musically someones gonna have to give out the ids of the songs that were played cause i sure as hell dont know any of them. There was like a good 30 or 40 songs in a row that just had me jumping all over the place for afew hrs,a nd then i became a human sardine. He builded it up lil by lil and god knows what he did after i left. If i sit here and name everybody i saw last night adn this morning i will be here till thursday. Do i hate crobar, GOD YES, will i go back if danny t plays again in a second without a doubt. Even while not being surrounded in the best situations, when he is laying the soundtrack for the evening and being surrounded by all of you guys, it makes it all worth it. Im glad to be a part of this whole thing we all share n love together.

Junior And the old Sound Factory...
silverbull replied to WarpdriveNYC's topic in New York / New Jersey
I didnt include the loft cause it wasnt really a club. And yes i agree that a better title wouldve been 3 OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL CLUBS , or 4 while throwing in soundfactory 27th street. But then it all goes back to the loft n to the sanctuary. -

i havent. Although i wasnt a part of that era lol. -
I would choke them or something. FYI i am 25 and been playing since 1998, just around the time House started with a little known group called Deelite, and a small song called "Groove is in the Heart." Maybe you need to check your history book of House. House originated in France with DJ Dmitry in about 1996-97. Basically he made a drum beat go "boom Boom Boom Boom" and put a hi hat in there to make a good groovy sound. He later toured in the USA at Playboy mansion, which is where House became really commercial, which is where people in NY and Chi-town heard about it. Personally I discovered House at a Mark Farina party in San Diego. I had two colored glowsticks that I used to circle around in the air and baggy pants. We called those parties "raves." They were the original House parties. One of the early DJs in 1997, named Jack Francis told everyone at the rave to Jack to the beat. That's how the term jack your body came about. So I hope this little bit of me droppin some Hous escience helps you understand the true story. If you need other information let me know. You can't love Deephouse without loving Sasha and SUPERSTAR DJ Keoki. Otherwise you aint a true house head. Paul Van Dyke to me is the King of Deep House Loft music.. Let's not forget about Johnny Dynell... I guess you not into 150 BPM beautiful House trance.... but that's where its at man they really created what we now call House Music... I mean Sasha is a legend and a slammin DJ pumping the crowd 147 Trance Beats Per Minute.. Thankfully it was just sarcasm but holy crap. I wouldnt be suprise if theirs some morons out there who really think like this, and who think that house originated in europe.
