FINALLY is all im gonna say about this legendary dj coming to nyc, dont know how many yrs or decades its been since one of the founding fathers of house has played in nyc. Been dying ot hear him play for so many yrs and finally i will, Him along with robert owens were knwon as FINGERS INC thru the early and mid 80s. Will post up complete party info in a few days. But seriously for any househead and house history head this party is a must. Doesnt really play that much anymore since retiring but still turns out some songs here and there adn ahs a new album comign out i believe. More bar type upstairs but luckily the funktion party is downstairs where its much more biggere and there is space to dance yes theirs a dancefloor or how else would i have fun lol. As for other parties that night hey only ones i know of are this FUNK/TION party at le souk ROOTS@CIELO with louie vega, TABLE 50 as well but i forget the name of the party.

my fascination with house music began in 1989 and i have been stuck with it since. But only since about 1999 has it been at the level of priority as it still is now. Im from brooklyn born and raise din teh projects so i grew up with hip hop but after 1995 i hate that shit and cant stand it. Im also latin so latin music has been a aprt of my life as well and use to do latin clubs upto about 98/99 as well. Since 2002 i refuse to hear the radio becuase music sucks on mainstream stations. I also love old school rock and am a big kiss and led zeppelin fan as well as some other rock bands that came out a few yrs ago, disturbed,staind,linkin park, evenescence, etc. I just cant stand anything that is pop and i cant stand hip hop if it isnt from 1979-till 1995. So house music is very much a part of mylife 24/7. With 5000 records at home like maybe about 400cds wordth of music and like 100 or so mixed tpaes from 1987 till about 2001 of house music i have no problem hearing house music 24/7.
