So imgoing tonight to CIELO for DJ COLETTE and HEATHER as well as over to APT for EMAN n LOLA and special guest LORD G. Fri night im workign a party with KEITH BLACKSTONE at SULLIVAN ROOM. So sat night im goin to DEKO to hear vibe anybody else coming out this weekend. Been very curious for avery long time to go to deko as i hear many hgood things. So i may not have my full energy come sat night but that wont stop me from shaking a leg or 2. I work sat n sun morning so all you dancefloor holic of deko take it easy on me lol.

Im actually working with KEITH BLACKSTONE at his record release party at SULLIVAN ROOM, if your interested in what type of music he is well look at the thread i made about him. He plays alot of dark,tribal beats kinda like vibe/danny t/morales type of beats. If your interested in coming let me know. As for VIBE im gonna go catch him at DEKO on sat night instead, so lets all have a great weekend and dance and sweat.

Man if only you knew what happened in the booth with teddy p, i will admit it was far from his best night. But one turntable was broken 2 cdjs were broken and the efx box wasnt working at all. He was also terribly pissed at what happened to the booth but still managed to get thru it, def far from his best night i know. Willie Graff has gone back to ibiza for the summer and in his place on fri nights since last fri night will be CHARLES WEBSTER who is def a great dj. Gonna have to catch charles one of these nights. And i love different geners but i just cant take one style of it for 12-14hrs only. That gets to be borings and doesnt really showcase any type of talent in my opinion. It shows you know how to rock one crowd who likes one style, but tahts about it. Its not about playing the latest songs to me.

Like i said dont be suprised if i do show up to the next BORIS party to hear and see the man himself. Ive caught him at websterhall in 99/2000 fri/sat ive caught him at discotheque sat nights in 2000 ive caught him at exit same yr (i think it was him) ive caught him at cheetah when he played the asseteria party there never caught him at show though.Ive hear him at discotheque after hrs a total of 3 times with the last time being the worse and since then i refused to hear him. The man does play good songs but for my tastes anyone can play a bomb track after a bomb track of tribal over and over again and thats whats boring to me. AND I LOVE TRIBAL. But that night at discotheque when it was him and merritt oh boy merritt at least mixed it up. But boris that guy just played i dont even know how to describe it, BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM all 90mins or less i couldnt stand being there another min. But i keep hearing how hes playing differently now from alot of different people but also some of the people i know who go to his parties only go for the girls cause their easy according to him. But one of these nights i will go to a boris party and see what the deal is.

DANNY TENAGLIA at SPIRIT, ERICK MORILLO at PACHA, JP someplace else. Damn looks like tenaglia is gonna be just like old times at his be yourself party at vinyl/arc. Now add boris to the mix of playing someplace else and Danny tenaglia party will be heaven.

What type of fan are you when it comes to hearing your djs when you go out. Or what do you expect the dj your listening too that night to play like. Which person are you the one who wants to hear bomb after bomb for 12hrs of one style or are you the person that wants to hear a journey of different genres stuff you wouldnt expect to hear and covering entiring landscapes of sound and eras. This thread was inspired by the boris thread where i read hes playing BOMB AFTER BOMB OF TRIBAL BEATS ALL NIGHT LONG. That to me is BORING. And i love tribal.

with all due respect to boris and fastfast if crobar is filled with all 3000 people there just for him where is that same crowd when he plays other venues in nyc? Is the man drawing huge numbers well obviously his parties are but im sure there are alot of people who go there not knowing wtf is goin on or even care whose playing. Then again maybe boris is doing something that im sleeping on and might have to check out myself real soon. I guess its all a matter of opinion. And just because a certain age group between 18-23/24 thinks boris is god doesnt really mean much imo. Cause remember the same peeeps who though jp was god after a few yrs of seeing other djs and other parties have thought differently. To call boris the king of nyc when you have djs like, danny tenaglia, junior vasquez, timmy regisford, francois k, danny krivit, joe claussell, victor calderone, david morales, roger sanchez still doing nyc parties after almost 30 something yrs each is a total uneducated statement.

As for boris i vowed never to go hear him again after a terrible boring set of beats i heard him play at discotheque one after hrs night a few yrs back. I mean just cause a dj plays good songs back to back toback to back to back doesnt means hes great in my book. I like variations in a set i like old songs mixed with new songs, but im sure one of these nights im gonna go check him out again and see whats up hey i might get suprised but then again maybe i wont. Im so pissed as i was def goin to this but my party on fri night at pacha and then tedd patterson at cielo on sat and work on sat n sun morning, i just couldnt make it. Wonder how the rest goes, all in all his style has been changing as of late when he has palyed nyc, more andmore electro stuff, less housey,tribal stuff. Wonder what he sound like in cielo hopefully back to his house,tribal beats.

I HATE TRANCE thats a fact adn yes i know ferry plays tracne, but i ahvent been into trance really since 1998-99 so being that a trance dj is playing at my fave club i dont mind goin to check it out. If its super terrible well then i will just head on over to DEEP SEE and have a blast.
