  1. if you really want to dance and dance hard go to SAPPHIRE on tues night for DEEP SEE with EMAN n LOLA. Lots of the best dancers in nyc in that small room. Free b411 and 5 bucks after or opens at 11 cant recall now party gets started on thbe later side though. As for wed got to CIELO for ROOTS with louie vega and kevin hedge some of the best house music and crowd.
  2. i wasnt talkin bout exacta and non story telling boom boom boom. I happen to know he doesnt play like that. Very nice guy and talented dj. What i meant was sometimes people throw out that comment Ætelling a story with the music without even knowing when itwas done in the old days it was with songs with actual words and meanings. Aug is def gonna be in intereting month.
  3. theres alot of local talent people are sleeping on. As for telling a story with music i hope you know it was with songs with words and not just boom boom boom. Exacta i hear great things about, some local guys ya should really check out are DOWN DEEP, DEEPSPELL, URBAN RELIEF PROJECT, KEITH BLACKSTONE, LOLA, and on a bigger level TEDD PATTERSON, HECTOR ROMERO. I see some things happening in the next few months hehe.
  4. Thats actually the day i come back from norway and will be having a STIMULUS>RESPONSE party in the basement of PACHA while miguel migs will be in the main room.
  5. Joe claussell party is def soemthign gret and its every 2 weeks on sun. The after festivus party is someting tottally different. Theres something special about that bi weekly party caleld SACRED RHYTHM, def go check it out.
  6. Not at all i was there in 1998 and i stopped goin there in 1999. I have not heard the man since becuase i saw and heard the direction his music was goin too and i didnt like it.
  7. Heres a drawing of what SOUNDFACTORY 27th street was like
  8. Ok your confusing things now, SOUND FACTORY 27th street was not SOUND FACTORY BAR, sfb was on 21st it was called CHEETAH after sfb. 2 different clubs, SOUNDFACTORY on 27th street was the house that junior vasquez built and frankie knuckles home among others. Very very legendary and influential in the global culture. After the paradise garage closed everyone was either at SOUNDFACTORY or TRACKS. Much like the garage it was very influential to everyone all over the world. Djs who were inspired by JUNIOR VASQUEZ among others were angel moraes, victor calderone, jonathan peters. Soundfactory bar had all type of djs during the week for the few yrs it was open, frnakie knuckles, louie vega, danny tenaglia, tedd patterson, camacho, francois k, danny krivit, hippie torrales, and when STRICTLY RHYTHM was the best house music label around they had performances there and every weds was packed with industry and i mean REAL INDUSTRY people as well as clubbers. Soundfactory on 46th street was just a club that for 7 yrs Jonathan peters made famous NOT the world over but between the tri state area and was more associated with drugs after 2000 then the music. It brainwashed its patrons to think that HEs theonly dj around and his style of music was the only type to like hehe. Def legendary in its own right and introduce alot of 18 and younger people to music and the scene but not really important in the overall aspect of the industry, PACHA has taken over the space on 46th street, SPIRIT is at 27th street, and the 21st street is still currently closed i think.
  9. so i didnt make it would love to hear reviews.
  10. im soo tempted to go but im alreayd tired and have work at 8am and want to go to 718 sessions at 6pm.
  11. Good to hear you had fun i was over at CIELO and had a blast myself. Looks like we both made right decisions lol. Workin at 8am sucks on sat n sun, but worth it.
  12. just got into work after a great night out at cielo, where charles webster played some awesome tunes. If im not my usual jumping dancing mad man now you know why. See ya there.
  13. Again if its on the same night and someone asks what else is goin on that night then by all means you have my greenlight to do so. Better you than someone mentioning it in my posts/threads i dont mind. Now have i ever put up another flyer in your promo threads?
  14. so does this mean your actually gonna leave the house and go to a party instead of posting on a messageboard all day long like you been doin for the past 5 yrs? At least thats what i hear i could be wrong it could be some other person who never goes anywhere. And when did you hear charles webster live b4 to make that judgement, im very very into his productions but have never heard him live, so i will find out for myself.
  15. Not me, I will be at CIELO for CHARLES WEBSTER.
  16. yes he has been goin out for 30 yrs and there is nothing wrong with that. Look at some of your top djs in the world who are in their 40s/50s as well. You have to understand to some people this is only something people do in thier 20s cause its "popular to do" for others its a lifestyle that never ends. Theres so many people in their 40,50s,60 who still go out and sometimes jsut as much as i do and can rip up the dancefloor with their moves than some 20 yr olds. Look at DAVID MANCUSO and his LOFT party started on feb 14th 1968 and guess what ITS STILL GOIN, not every week but every season. Theres people who go to that party who havebeen goin sicne the 70s only now they bring their kids or grand kids. Again theres a whole culture and lifestlye behind it so if someone is gonna look down or talk shit about someone in thier 40/50s still goin to clubs, please stfu cause obviously its not something your a part of.
  17. I guess you miss this response direct towards you by backupqueen And about your mel comment how bout we go talk to him on weds or at the colonial inn or i will call him myself and set up a sitdown with him and would love to hear him agree with what your saying.
  18. Now do you see how influential he was and still is if every yr since his death in 1992 his bday is celebrated.
  19. As soon as im done with work around 4 somethign im runing uptown. See you guys there.
