what about skipping ps1 and just going to arc? what do you think ps1 will be like?..haven't been there.
about ps1: y spend 25 bucks for a pass and prob just go there one more time for the year, where you can spend 5 for just saturaday?
-
yea did you take some when you wrote this thread? oook, I'll admit it, I do kind of like nyquil but I don't remember how it feels...probably all slow and retarded.
-
-
gotcha. yea a lot of people like to think that they know what they're talking about. thanks for the info.

yo jaysea, is spirit still planning to open in september or are they pushing for a later date?
-
pangelid, that's crazy. Yea, the dever was huge just a few years ago...then he stopped doing parties AND clubs in ny.
yes, the uptown underground is still around and i'm expecting some parties to be coming up too.
kliprock?....look at this
-
hahaha...this proves how canada is so behind the times. those parties look like parties in the mid & early 90s...like this pic
what's up with this kat? he looks like he missed Disco 2000, trying to bring back the Michael Alig look.
-
they should just open the club like that....all dark with an underground feel...perfect for dancing!
-
yea i know dennis' best friend but i'd rather not go that route. the dever use to tour & play in europe a lot..maybe he decided to stay b/c ny sux. it would be cool to see him spin but obviously no one knows anything......remember tommy tunes?
is function throwing a party anytime soon b/c placebo 1 was phat..the second one wasn't so great but i did get there later and i did meet some cool peeps, so it was worth it.

Does anyone know anything about this kat? He use to be huge in the scene years ago. The last time he played, that I know of, was at a Stuck On Earth party/One Nation in July 2001 at Tunnel but hasn't been seen in NYC for a long time. He was affiliated with the brooklyn underground & The Zoo (NYC). Thanks.
peace.

whistleboi is a detroit (techno, house) dj, did a lot of parties back in the day.
yea I love techno, especially tribal.

hey eddie3, i don't know of mr.kleen but i'm sure a lot of my friends do. yea dennis was really good and it would be awesome to see him spin. it seems that only the people that were going to parties during that time know of him. michael myers has done a lot of parties with him. i was told that he became less visible as clubs were being shut down and things were getting worse in ny. then again someone told me that he had spun at a party not too long ago. a lot of djs are fed up w/ny.
ever hear of whistleboi?

I hate to say it, but outside of Tronco, no Philly DJ has world-wide rep. like those guys. Some people out of the area would know Richards, Dieselboy, and Wink...but they just arent the kinds of big names like NJ and NYC pulls.
are you serious? i'm from ny and i've known about those djs for a long time. Everyone knows who Nigel Richards is. My x-boyfriend who's from Detroit use to bring him over for parties back in the mid 90s. i know people from cali where there's or was a big jungle scene and they even know of nigel and of 611 records.
if it makes you feel better...the nyc scene is at it's worst but there are some exceptions.

got ya. i love how most of arc is a dancefloor. i hear you about the alcohol but if no alcohol means it can stay open longer then whatever; there's always other alternatives...drinking before, or a shock for some--being sober.
-
centro-fly the best club? i'd think you would prefer arc, with that twilo sig.
-
many of you have laid out a perfect example of how the scene is dying, but in an indirect way--you think you're right and you mock anyone who disagrees with you & forget what it all comes down to.
btw, don't bash sinixstar because he's totally right! lol

lol. Of course there has to be a good vibe! An awesome vibe is amazing....the dj is into the music, people are dancing, and everyone is friendly and having a good time....makes going out even more addicting. It makes a difference when ppl stand around, no one is dancing (or can't dance lol), the crowd is pushy or obnoxious, and guys hover over you.
I don't know what you're talking about, calling ppl 'music trolls', but some of us love the music...nothing wrong with that.

so sad...maybe the desire to go to the club is for the music and to dance.

thanks.
tech-house? niiice.
i'm kind of sorry now that i missed it....sounds like a good vibe.

For those who went, how was arc that night?

silverbull, i use to feel the same way as you. i never understood how some people dance exactly the same, copying off one another. it's cool to pick up steps that you like and incorporate them as your own but when it becomes a cloning process, then it's a little weird. dancing is all about feeling the music. i never dance when i don't like what's being spun. what's more annoying is when guys come up to you and ask y you're not dancing and you say that you're not 'feeling it' right now and they ask why.![:blank:](//content.invisioncic.com/m326446/emoticons/default_cwm34.gif)
