  1. Hi Eddie - that sounds great....Although I can't make it to the Island - maybe I'll get one from you when you make your rounds..... My Best to My SuperStar *** Kano
  2. LMAO - That is cute.... The crowd is very cool..... You'd spend $$$ on strange beautiful women if you'd like -- I, however, don't think it is necessary!
  3. It really depends on the party. I think mostly by "guest list" only. The dress is nice.... not black tie, but not really sloppy. Comfort is a good word cause when you go there - trust, as a girl - you don't want to be in heels. Flats to dance, t-shirt to sweat.....
  4. Voelke - you are Correct! Very good answer. Silverbull - you pulled out the heavies with that answer. Yes, my favs. are Lil Louie Vega, Roger Sanchez, Ted Patterson, David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Jellybean, Victor Calderone, Rick Corbo, Merritt.... and David Cole - Larry Levan (RIP).... PEACE
  5. Actually, the have just begun to serve reallllly good Pizza. Wuz up Digital X and Silverbull - hope to see you on the dance floor real soon. - Corbo - Corbo - Corbo - Corbeats.....
  6. I saw Tedd at Cielo on Oct. 4. He was sooooo Good! I didn't even want to dance - I just sat and absorbed the magic that came from his selection. WOW - He was Great - I can't express it more.....
  7. While there may not have been 500 people outside at 2:30 a.m. -it wasn't empty! Deaf people can enjoy music.... Ever hear of vibrations? People watching is fun too.
  8. Webster on Saturday - best bet with Rick Corbo. Powerpill - why haven't you gone to the Ballroom on a Saturday? You should definitely check it out. The vibe is really good. P.S. To the DOG that wants to be a DJ...... Jealousy and Envy??? You know who you are...
  9. I think people should be able to dance "ANYWHERE". Dancing is not - in any way or form - a nuisance to the public. I do think Bloomberg should be ousted out of City Hall. He lives in a "fake world"..... His world.... We don't have it the way he does! Closing clubs at 2:00 A.M. would be DISASTROUS. We must come together as a whole for the industry to impede any and all attempts to make this real. Please, Please, Please - take this serious. It just CANNOT happen. This is the CITY for crying out loud. If people want quiet - go to the suburbs or the country. Growing up in Chelsea and living in Club World has made me the City Girl that I am. I cannot fathom getting to a club before 1:00 a.m. What am I to do? Stay for 45 minutes. I and, I'm sure, many others will be put in a state of depression. We work hard all week long, pay hefty taxes, pay ridiculous amounts of money for rent, and have done much, much more to keep the City thriving = WHY MUST YOU TAKE AWAY OUR ONE OUTLET; Partying til the early morning to forget the madness we endure.... If that's the case, let's take away his Metropolitan Opera; Carnegie Hall; The Museums, etc. He wouldn't do something like that because that is His Enjoyment..... A message to the MAYOR - YOU SUCK! PEACE and GOOD LUCK to our CAUSE..... C17
  10. ROGER, ROGER, ROGER - OOOOH YEAH.... I am there. Taking a bunch of people with me. No place will be able to beat this Thanksgiving Eve PARTY..... Not with ROGER around. PEACE
  11. Went there once -- what a waste of space. The crowd is totally whack..... The music is even worse. Who the hell wants to hear hip hop all night with a bunch of "so called" trendy kids jumping around. YUK Left there and went to Webster to Listen to Rick Corbo work the house MUSIC all night in the Ballroom..... SO SO SO SO SO MUCH BETTER.
  12. Hey - just saw the track list...... Not the most exciting. There are so many, many more tracks out there that would have made this a topper! Very KTU.... But then again, that's RIZZO.
  13. Well, with reference to the strip tease - you must of been there on a Friday. Not Saturday. I didn't say go there on Friday. Saturday is the night to be in the Ballroom. Great, great music with DJ Ricky Corbo. The party Ricky gave was totally on point from beginning to end. As far as cleanliness is concerned - tell me what club is clean
  14. So I can only believe that ROGER was truly applaudable.... I couldn't make it - although I tried. I accepted a new job offer and my present employer - since I gave notice - said I couldn't take off Friday - even though I had requested this date since July - cause of my notice. What crap! So I had to stay home, sleep and wait for another time to see one of my all time favorites.... ROGER SANCHEZ is soooooooo GOOD.
  15. Saturday - 10/18 - Webster Hall - Ballroom - Come down and celebrate a true birthday with DJ Rick Corbo. Party! Party! Party!
  16. Go to Webster Hall on Saturday 10.18. Rick Corbo's Birthday Bash in the Ballroom. Check it out. Fun, Fun Party - Great, Great Music. PEACE
  17. I know, I know -- But I must say that if you want to listen to good music - check out Rick Corbo at Webster Hall. You won't be disappointed.
  18. Why would Webster even have him back? Waste of time....
  19. OMG - I went there on Saturday - Not by choice, either. The place is so NOT good. The music sucked big time. The girl in the tank - looked as if she'd been drowned. Is that a fetish or something? I've seen the mermaid thing in Cancun; totally not anywhere near that. The crowd was so blah. This place sounds nice by the name. At least the fish were cute. That lasted about 5 minutes then I proceeded to tell my friends, "I gotta go." The night wasn't a total loss - I headed down to Cielo at about 2:30 a.m. and the place was mad cute. The music by Ted Paterson was fierce. HOUSE, HOUSE, HOUSE.... Oh yeah. That's the way to end a shitty night.
  20. Hey My Friends - Hope you are all well.... Just some insight to Webster for Saturday night. Come check out Rick Corbo in the Ballroom. Be ready to sweat and have lots of fun. The party is really hot! P.S. Rick Corbo's big birthday bash will be held on Sat. Oct. 18. Come down to celebrate. Thanx.
  21. WOW, such detestation. No matter whether PP is affiliated with WH, it's the truth. Name any other club - good or bad - that has been in business for such a long time. I've been in the scene for yeeeaaars, and not any other ownership has had the luck for Longevity. Even the original Roxy opened when I was 14, then they changed the name to 1018 with new owners by the time I was 18. Then new ownership again, then Roxy again. Roxy is a legendary club but when it comes to a Saturday party - Peter is fierce but the majority is BOY night. I Love Me Some Boys - but the Boys at Roxy aren't on my team. Clubs Like Centro may be hot for a minute but only a minute. Centro had it going on with the crowd and the vibe on Thursdays with the Subliminal party, then they crapped on it when that party left. Nonetheless, WH is still open with the same name and the same owners. Don't be so mean. God don't like ugly. Shit always comes back to you!
  22. I'd like to address this topic due to the fact that I sincerely think IanJohn was referring to WH on other nights, NOT Saturday. Some people like to play "carefully". My reaction to that is stop being a bitch; Jump into the fire. Saturday's at Webster Hall in the Ballroom with Rick Corbo you will hear only the most up-to-date music. Not music on bullshit KTU. Oh my God - Rick would die. He gets most of his stuff way, way, way before the general public would even hear it on radio, or whatever anywheres like 8-10 months before. Direct from studios to his floor. He schools his crowd on music. A true dj does that. You say you've been in the industry for years. Well so have I - 20 + some years. I've heard the very best at the Garage and Loft and the very worst at other venues. Maybe you were referring to the imposter DJ called Louie DeVito. Now that's a brother that plays the worst shit ever put on vinyl. Have you seen the posts re Avalon. Supposedly the top djs are playing there but the music hasn't been good. Just because a club is "NEW" doesn't mean its better. Webster has been around for yeeeaarrrs and it's still going strong. Yes, some changes have been implemented by management but they definitely work. When you refer to promoters - they can suck ass. You are totally correct. They have the balls to ask a dj "how many people, etc". What the f>>>K. That is your job. A DJ is to bring his music, make sure it is the most current with a dab of one or two true classics for a drop, his stamina and fierce mixes that most people wouldn't even tell one track beat from another. I got a demo for you. Rick makes demos out of his studio when he's not working on remixes for people in LA, Portugal, France and other parts of the globe. The decision makers at WH know that Rick is an asset to their Saturdays. Kudos to them!
  23. For Jellybean and MAW - I believe I will be there. It's worth taking Thursday off from work.
