  1. Hmmmm...pretty sure he's not coming to WMC. Could be wrong though....
  2. PLEASE let me know if anyone finds it or IDs it!
  3. Thursday Night Bullitt Party @ Set Toolroom Knights @ Prive Friday Day BPM Party @ Catalina Radio 1 Party @ Surfcomber Basic NYC / Smartbar @ Beach Plaza Friday Night One + One @ The Fifth Saturday Day Ultra Saturday Night Yoshitoshi @ Space
  4. PVD will probably play the main room from 1am to 6am. Sander K will likely place the terrace from 7am till noon or later. You will need to get a presales ticket, because they probably won't let many non ticketholders in, if any at all. I would get a before 5am ticket, and try to arrive around 3am. Yes...it will be INSANELY CROWDED each and every night and morning of conference....inside and out, with hundreds more waiting outside.
  5. You won't have a problem with dress codes aside from a few places like Y Ultralounge, Mynt, BED, Prive and a few others...although even theirs should be much looser than normal. Others you should be good with sneakers and t-shirts. As for the pat-downs...don't worry about it. You should be good to bring your "meds" and/or cameras anywhere you go. Ultra is the only place that pats down, but even they half-ass it.
  6. Biggest Labor Day Bash? Nah, that will at Peanut Island as always :-) . . . naked chicks and unimaginable amounts of alcohol. Can't beat that! Sounds like a good party at Rum Bar though . . . maybe we'll dock up on the way back from the island.
  7. Go to Mansion on Saturday the 9th . . . Bob Sinclair. Enough said.
  8. Daft Punk Live = UNREAL. Definitely worth the price of admission just for that.
  9. As old is this song is, I still feel the need to reply . . . Outwork - Elektro . . . most likely The Cube Guys Delano Mix.
  10. Didn't you ask earlier in this thread where the new location was? I'm confused . . . if you live here, you should know how far it is. Bicentennial is also right across the street from AAA . . . but Bicentennial is closer to the "Afterparty area" . . . so I'm just stating the fact. I'm just saying that it's a benefit . . . the fact that Bayfront has an ampitheater doesn't necessarily mean that it is better. Ultimately, we will have to wait and see . . . I would have to think that there had to be a valid reason for them to change locations. I have been to many music festivals and concert with and without ampitheatres, and to me, they were all similar. Bicentennial has much more wide-open spaces, thus leading me to beleive that the larger arenas will be able to accomodate more people with less congestion in the traffic areas. To me, that is most important.
  11. Looks pretty solid to me . . . maybe the best yet. Anytime you have Nic Fanciulli, Roger Sanchez, Danny Howells, Pete Tong, Lee Burridge, Nick Warren, Pete Tong, James Zabiela, Harry Romero and Desyn Masiello . . . and they aren't listed as headliners . . . I would say it's pretty fuckin good! Not to mention Erick Morrillo twice!!! Whoo hoo!
  12. Like I said . . . location is much better (IMO) since it is indeed closer to the afterparty venues (AAA, Space, New Crobar, etc all within 3 blocks). Besides, that ampitheatre was worthless, and the traffic flow was awful. To me, more space = better atmosphere, with what looks to be more and hopefully larger music arenas (Carl Cox & Friends tent was WAY too small). I just hope that they fix the bathroom situation . . .
  13. Might wanna check your map . . . I've been there hundreds of times. Space is the address marked: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=34+ne+11th+st,+miami,+fl&ll=25.785169,-80.193501&spn=0.017621,0.042915
  14. Remember that nearly every venue has something going on every night of conference . . . Last year, we hit up a couple parties at Amika, Jazid, Blue and those types of venues, and came across some hotel penthouse parties (Free Kaskade Party at the Remix hotel was awesome). There's alot out there . . . do some research, keep an eye on www.m3masterlist.com, and ask around when you get here!
  15. Bicentennial Park is about 8 blocks from Bayfront Park. In my opinion, it will be a better venue . . . larger and closer to the downtown clubs and AAA. Hopefully the entry situation will be better than recent years. My advice, like bbreaksbeats said . . . get there early (we usually head over around 2 or 3), don't bring cameras, and bring plenty of cash and sunscreen. They are sometimes strict on what they allow you to bring in.
  16. Wasn't trying to be a jerk . . . just kinda comes naturally. If you had made that post the first time, then there wouldn't have been a problem. Thanks for the clarification . . . now I understand.
  17. That might be the dumbest response to a post that I have ever read. I meant HOUSE as a general genre . . . I don't need educated on what HOUSE is (I lived in Chicago for 8 years). It's a well-known fact that HOUSE currently dominates South Florida and Miami, and has for several years. Luckily, WMC brings all "variations" of HOUSE to us for 2 weeks.
  18. Have you been to Miami in the last 5 years? Miami is a HOUSE town now . . . don't worry, there will be plenty of trance at Ultra and the rest of WMC and MMC. They have only announced a fraction of the parties and DJs. Don't forget that there is almost 2 weeks worth this year.
  19. No, he is at Mansion both nights. Oh . . . and get used to paying $50+ for seeing the big names at the big venues. You can bet your ass the "major" venues will be charging close to $100 on their top nights, just as they have the last several years.
  20. I don't think it's on Friday . . . he traditionally plays Crobar on Saturday after Ultra, just as it is listed on his website.
  21. Also, another reason to hit the smaller parties is to avoid the mayhem at the door. Alot of these parties are free or reduced with a guestlist. On the other hand, you can bank on Space being $60 - $120 some nights just to get in . . . if you ever do. Most places are going to be first come-first in, so don't bother. And for god sakes, DON'T buy a table or bottle service . . . It's a waste of time and money here just like it is most everywhere else. Like I said before, hit a bunch of smaller venues in one night and educate yourself and have fun at the same time. If don't come to Miami often, I would recommend hitting up Space, "the new Crobar", or Mansion one night if you want, but to do the same thing every night is lame.
  22. Here are my best tips: Dress comfortable (dress codes go out the window during WMC) Hit the smaller parties, and bounce around to get a good mix of the musical diversity that only comes once a year in the states Bring plenty of cash
  23. I'm in shock . . . a useful post! . . . and the smiley face actually makes sense (a little bit) since "house" is in quotation marks. Very clever. Newbie (since April 2003)
