  1. "who says we all drink"-badass I don't know, who said? You? I was just asking a general question.
  2. Absolut you know who I work for, but why do you think I chose to work with them. It's not about the money. I'll get less from them than any club job I ever had, but I believe in them. I've been doing this long enough to know that this is one of those underdogs that will win while all the cows are just following the heard. Of course that means I want Cows to follows us one day, but once that happens I'll find a new cause.
  3. Absolut you know my feelings about big liquor companies. I mean Turi has everything a highend vodka should be: smooth taste, an invented history, a majestic bottle for the back bar, and millions of Bacardi's dollars. But the fact is Turi is just one of thousands of legitimate contenders to Grey Gooses title right now. I root for the underdog. The idea of a kid in a garage one day out doing Microsoft is such an inspiring vision. I became a Yankee fan when I was a kid because growing up in the 80s they sucked and you really had to love the characters on that team to be a fan. Everyone loved the Mets casue they were winning not because they had some emotional vested interest. But they weren't fans, they were consumers. Fans (evangelists) are leaders. Consumers are just mindless cow that follow the resulting efforts of true leaders that believed when the chips are down. If you are going root for someone to take down the champ of Grey Goose, pick the under dog. Pic the guy with the best product that doesn't have the recogntion money buys. Or just stick with Goose, because for a long time they were the underdogs.
  4. My friend absolutv, I'm flattered that you remember me. I'm taking a different approach. I will give as much info to people that I know from working for clubs and with liquor companies. If people want to know what I do they will ask. Outside of that this is the quote I live by and did when we first met. "You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough people get what they want." People on this message board come to discuss and be informed. That's my approach. If the respond to my thread I inform, so ask away.
  5. Ketel one was it 2 years ago but it's loosing steam. Grey goose started to pick up around the same time, but instead of tailing off the just exploded. That's here in NYC through. Every state follows a different trend with alcohol. But your liquor market for vodkas is almost the smae as Miami. But down by you Bacardi is king (the company that is) and corona.
  6. I can see ketel making a really great bloody mary. My bad Ketel has a use outside of astringent.
  7. We used to carry corona at our club but then we found this stuff called Sol. A lot of our regulars switched over to it from corona. It has no market but like corona (the mega egos of beach beer), but its a good product
  8. Of straight super premium vodkas I would say the best that you can find at every bar is grey goose for sure. But hands down, the best vodka out there (only in my opinion) is this norwegian vodka called Christiana. It has an amazing industry reputation but, the stuff is expensive as hell for a bar to have so you will only see it in places with the extra cash to throw around. I have to say it's the cleanest vodka out there. But if that's not around Grey Goose. Why anyone would pay the same price for Ketel one as the Goose I have no idea though. It has more impurities in it that give it the taste of turpintine than any other vodka. I would rather was my bar with it than house vodka.
  9. I guess people haven't gotten so fed up with work that they feel a need to respond to the most mundane of posts........even though it is my post. cricket cricket
  10. Aquired? like ipikak. I'll trust you on that one. Of every pure vodka I have more repest for grey goose than anybody. A really great vodka and they have a great image. I still have no idea how they got to dominate the market but I respect it. At our club we go through more Grey Goose than house vodka. Why do people love it so much? Most drinkers I know couldn't tell the difference between a grey goose cranberry from a belvedere cran. I know why I can tell the difference, becasue I handle the stuff every freakin day. But a normal consumer, what's so new about it. It's just one moresuper premium vodka, nothing inventive about it.
  11. Have people tried Tiger Beer. We did a few shows with them at Centro-Fly. The last one was Layo & Buskwacka for memorial day. I was suprised people asked for it (more than just the people working for them) and they liked it.
  12. coffee good, coffee life blood, coffee is my artificial personality. but I meant alcohol
