  1. I'll add to this review. The fact is pacha having vega and clan on the main floor made that club. I've never seen pacha lit up or any main floor like that before. Yeah I've seen smaller clubs rockin but a big club nah not to that effect. The vibe was perfect or as close to perfect as you can get in a big club. Louie didn't alter or change he rocked classics galore as well as deep/soul staples of today. The lighting was straight up great not like the last time I went to pacha. The sound was very good and I could tell cause I had zero ringing in my ears unlike other clubs like avalon and crobar. Tons of sexy women yes I was amazed. I guess it takes some sexy house to bring them out. The basement of course had great elements of house more on the prog/techy/tribally if that is somewhat accurate. Yeah Lola did rip it well we all know she always does and already has fans growing and hopefully she'll make it big. The only thing is that pacha's basement needs sound. After leaving the main floor it seemed more at lounge sound levels. But it didn't matter cause the music was dead on. Louie vega and clan spun at a class level that roger s does just not as long(unless he's at cielo and such). I wish he would expand this sound of deep/soul in his sets before he goes into the darker tribal and the bangers. Anyway I loved the nite wished it had a more afterhours feel to it but it did not matter. Best big club night I've had in a long time vibe and music wise.
  2. Vibe Rocked it. Best night of music I've had in a while. Same with tkc who rocked the shit out of that system early. I know crowds are not easy to deal with but once you get into your own area you can't help but vibe to all that massive tribal and prog.
  3. Hmm maybe a set up track if anything but if it was a main track it sounds a bit too boring to me. I think someone on here referred to this type of music as nerd music but to each there own.
  4. I love that move bounce shake song. I think this has all the makings of a great night.
  5. Your heinken is waiting. lol Yeah too much this weekend. Honestly if I could hear dt I would and just be happy with that. But work calls.
  6. Sorry I love hearing Tedd and definetly can't wait to hear him again but I haven't heard vibe spin in a long time. Gonna be a great time. Everyone have a great weekend. Looks like it's gonna be a nasty one with the music.
  7. I've only ever heard him at cielo. Of course he's great as his sounds are totally organic and alive with massive filteration when he gets on fire. I'm def gonna go hit that floor.
  8. I don't care about opinions and this and that. I'll be there on the floor enjoying 2 of my fave dj's rockin the set. Doesn't matter what they play. I know it may be far fetched to have trance tech and house in one night but dt is very pro and I am sure has enough music to maintain balance after picotto spins tech, trance, and whatever else he spins now. Cya guys there.
  9. right now... things change as I discover new ones... Roger S Ted Patterson DT Claussel Louie Vega
  10. Wasn't there a video floating around here with you in it? I could be mistaken. The image looks familiar.
  11. Sorry guys this is only my third time hearing them and I enjoyed them more at canal room and cielo. The bpms were a bit to high for me but again I went with the prenotion of what I've heard in the past. I loved them anyway not to diminish what I heard and what I enjoyed. Ivano was great opening up. He was very subtle and progressive. Loved his set. Peace.
  12. I love dj kai and figured I would expose his mix from when he played sully with coleman. That was a great night of music in all forms. Dark light whatever. People who were there can attest it was a great night of music. Peace to dj kai. Enjoy. DJ Kai mix 2-3-06 Sully
  13. I saw him and rob distafano and adam freemer are spinnin at some club called element on the 24th I believe. May check him out then if it's possible.
  14. I used to just hate it but now I love it argdiesel. Everyone including the deephouse dj's are playing music that is influenced or infused with the sounds that are "electro". Anyway I say rock anything as long as it is good. I don't care what year or how far fetched if it makes sense and keeps you in the groove go for it. Robbie is not exactly my style of electro but I would check him out if I could.
  15. Crobar is the most professional that I've seen so far in the big club scene by far. I wish the vip room was more dj friendly in design but as for everything else it's top notch. Pacha was a cool place the one time I went but it was hard to scope the place out correctly cause of our later arrival. But I have had many fun nights (s-man) at crobar.
  16. Thanks for the images and vids this brings some great nights back to my mind like dt and dj vibe. Miss it alot.
  17. Ted Patterson is one of the most focused dj's in mixing and track selection. People on here have often compared him to dt. Justly so cause he's very deep in his track selection. He's great.
  18. Here's my 2 cents. All listed are great! If you want deep house cielo wednesdays kevin hedge and the master little louie vega. Also I see that sunday you have joe claussell at club love. It's from 6pm till about 12am. You gotta check this club out if you come to ny. Everything is aces up in there! Cielo and Club love are a must for small clubs. Enjoy.
  19. I'm going and it's gonna be a great night I sincerely hope. Farina was ill the one time I heard him. Anyway cya there man.
  20. Thanks for the warning about this place. I don't like people staring at dj's myself. Go do something like dance! As for the electro topic it's good in doses but I can't deal with just electro. Not just yet.
  21. There's many dj's that simply mix the classics up with the modern stuff. Anyway Roger S is my favorite and I always go to listen to him or as much as I can but I just felt that the line of house that I'm used to listening to from him was not all kept. The bassline or structure he tries to preserve from becoming just regular commercial sounding was not bent though. I guess maybe the place being packed lent to it also. Hardly any room to dance cause the place was too mobbed. Anyway till next time. p.s. clinton I always read your posts. They are very informative.
  22. The beginning was best! Deep house and deep tribal! Can't beat that. But he lost me in some weird electro ladened tracks as well as the trancey sounding house tunes. Roger still my fave but I think he was too boombastic this time. I think one thing with his tracks is I am normally acquainted with lots of them but since he hasn't been in ny spinnin for a long time I was new to many of them. So it was like a shock effect hearing the more abstract sounding house tracks. He was getting back into the house that I enjoy hearing more towards the end of me leaving around 5 or so. I had fun simply cause of the people I hang with more so than roger this time.
