Hey rudeboyyouth, I totally agree with you. I think with hiphop it is pick and choose as it is with any music. I think most of the hiphop dj's just play the same crap. It is hard to tell them apart because they all play the same records. And the commercialism dictates this mutation of dj's and artists all spittin the same shit. I won't support today's mass of hiphop till I can see that the art is back not just big bank accounts.

I say Mask should come to see David Morales @ Spirit cause he will enjoy all the area to dance cause of it's size. And not to mention we don't get to see Gabe that much anymore. And the women...

I gotta say I always look up to Da Mask! He is not only a unique dancer but he is a cool person. I tend to agree with the drops of symphonic something or other that glowgirl said. But I on the other hand was totally amazed that Josh Gabriel was djing straight on a macintosh. And it wasn't a traktor dj type prog. I think that alot of people wish the room to dance but Avalon just gets so filled and people do drink which leads to the usual bumping around. I am used to it so I don't even think about it. Anyway it seems like I am the only one on this thread whom enjoyed himself but I am not as musically well versed as the rest of you I guess.

The last time for mauro picotto I had to pay 15 bucks even with the printout and it was way before midnight. And where did this free printout on clubplanet come from cause I am not currently aware of one?

Silverbull told me that they are a tag team called KATSIMAI and ori but I might be wrong. Maybe he can answer the question or someone on here. I like the style by that dj you are referring to.

China Club maybe an awful place to most on these boards but it is about the DJ and many of us that go to Avalon alot know that the crowd can be awful at times but they do get good dj's and sometimes it is about the music not about the place or the people. I will support Rick Corbo also cause he doesn't dissapoint.

There is no reason we have to lie to you klubbheadsor. When you go just remember to go to the basement hiphop room and put on your gas-mask or you will pass out. People on this board are people that frequently go out in nyc and know the good from the bad. Yeah there is alot of disagreements but most people agree on this one.
Nice people work there and the building itself is good it is just that there is nothing much else than repetative oldies and the same dj's week in - week out.

If you go early no lines if you go late maybe after midnight I would suppose lines. Friday night it is free with the printout on clubplanet before 12. I think you can access that page from the frontpage of clubplanet. Peace.

I think everyone should let this thread die. There are people like me that don't use foreign elements like drugs to have a good time. We are the ones that get the short end of the stick cause we want to listen to a great dj and the drug addicts/dealers gotta go ruin it for everyone.

My bedroom. LOL. Just kiddin. Seriously that place needs a major overhaul. I hear like someone said on this thread that back in the day it was a good place. Dj's what not. It's ashame cause they got the space to do something better. Oh well. I am sure while we sit here and crack on them they are laughing at us all the way to the bank.

I didn't like the clubs there. This one place kicked us out at 1am. That's all I can say about myrtle beach. Enjoy yourself either way dude.
