  1. A buddy of mine used to dj at the old china club and he says the one that is now is terrible. I have never set foot in that place but just putting in my 2 cents to this thread. But if you want advice this is one of the best places to get it cause people from around here know what the true deal is dude. Peace.

p.s. What is your music styles and maybe the cp heads can give you assistance?

  2. I got back a few days ago from vegas.

That thehype dude def tells the truth. The only thing that Rain sucked ass. It was overcrowded and the music was straight up wack(aka tourist trap?). Drai's was great but don't expect too many regular girls there cause there were escorts and prostitutes everywhere and I ain't buggin. But the DJ was good and dj's out in the open. Alesium at seven sucked ass as I walked in not to long after I walked out. Makes you wonder why they hand out free passes all day long. It was "afterhours" and the club was empty. This was sat morning btw. Ice for a regular hours club rocked sat night and dj dan was there playing some great house music. It is on East Harmon Ave down a few blocks from the aladdin. Ibiza USA is fun but there ain't much people inside that place. But it does attempt to be an afterhours club just not by NYC standards. Place is cool inside but the place is mad empty. Studio 54 is fun and enjoyable but tuesday nights seem the night to be there. Still enjoyable though any night. And RA in the luxor is off the hook but last time I went there it was a wednesday so I can't speak for the weekend tempkid. As for Rumjungle I went there a few years back maybe they have changed but I thought it stunk when I went. But I can't judge it in the current time frame.

The music varied from club to club obviously but as far as edm is concerned drai's and ice both displayed various forms of house etc... ibiza usa had a dj dropping trance records that sounded pretty good but a bit played if you know what I mean. Go to vegas.com for a better list of places.

  3. I've been going to avalon saturdays for a while and the dj's they have been getting have been really good. At least from my virgin ears. D:Fuse was a cool one to see whomever was there and Def the picotto/cox weekend should be awesome as well. Hopefully Judge Jules can be as intense cause I have never heard him spin. Peace.

  4. Please everyone don't take offense to my statements but the crowd is sometimes good sometimes not. Last night the crowd was so so. A bit out there if you know what I mean which meant alot of bumping into you and what not. I guess rudeness. But honestly it depends cause I have seen many types. And as far as dress code I have seen all types of clothes including sneakers. Ravers, Punk Rockers, SF types, Yuppies, and of course average nyc'ers/music listeners go there. 18+ I believe. Peace.

  5. Anyone have any opinions on what are the hot club nights in Las Vegas with a House music or techno feel? I will be there from the 24th through the 1st of march. And sorry about posting it here but the vegas boards are almost as dead as the portland boards were. lol

I like much USA, I will go to New York this summer, and I will like to go in club. I like the house music, deep house, progressive and a little tek house music.

But I would like to know what is the minimum age to go in club, because Iam 18 years ago. In France its possible to go in club at 18, but I dont know the minimum age in America.

I will go to Miami after, its the same age to go in club ?

For you, what is the best club in NewYork? (i dont like rap and rnb)

    Thanks!!

Try Shelter Saturday night/Sunday morning for guaranteed good deep house music. The dj is Timmy Regisford. Defenitely an afterhours spot. 20 West 39th st. between 5th and 6th.

  7. Avalon gets big names all the time so it is worth a shot if this is what you are into.

And Shelter for afterhours on satnight/sunday morning is a place with damn good house and dancers.

Check back around that date I am sure these promoters will take care of the overhyping before then... Peace.
