  1. 1) Duquette has already said on WFAN that he projects them to be #1 and 2 starters within the next 2 years...a LOT of pressure is on them.

    2) Oh please - Reyes IS good now...if you can't see that you're blind...and he's only 21...don't forget about Wright either. Alfonzo before he hurt his back was one of the best 2B/3B in all of baseball putting up incredible numbers and Wiggington is playing pretty damn well and will be a 25HR/80RBI guy - not too bad of a system if you ask me.

    1) I didn't hear that. I think Duquette is reaching a little with that. They're both solid 3-5 guys and with a little luck, Zambrano could be a #2.

2a) How good is Reyes if he can't keep himself in the line-up?? The fact that he's 21 is no excuse. There have been other 21 year olds that have thrived in the big leagues.

2b) Wright hasn't done a thing yet. Lets wait a year or two before we put him in the Hall of Fame. There have been plenty of "can't miss" prospects who were total busts...

    2c) http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/stats?statsId=5363

Fonzie had two good seasons total. The last one in 2000. Hardly enough to qualify you as the best of anything...

2d) Are you a scout?? How do you know if Wiggington will put up anything close to those kind of numbers if he's never done it before?? (FYI 25/80 for a 1B, or 3B is very ordinary)

  2. But that's the thing...they aren't "sure" things...Benson isn't even a .500 pitcher!! Zambrano is BARELY about that...Peterson isn't gonna make them Cy Young winners...The Mets are thinking these two will be their #1 and #2 starters soon...sadly mistaken!

last met that has come through the system...Reyes, Alfonzo and Wigginton to name a few....and proabably Kazmir

    1) They came from the Pirates & Devil Rays respectively.... Randy Johnson & Pedro Martinez would have a hard time being .500 pitchers at these places. The Mets have no intentions of these guys being their #1 & #2 starters. These guys are more like 3-5 starters and in that role they will be fine.

    2) Reyes, Alfonzo, & Wiggington.... This is exactly my point. Reyes is an unknown. Let him play a full healthy season and then we can see if he'll be any good. Alfonzo is playing himself out of a job in SF, and Wiggington is a spare part, nothing more. If this is the type of talent that comes through the Mets farm system, you can understand why they're not so high on their prospects...

  3. It really depends on your perspective. Benson & Zambrano are solid back end of the rotation pitchers... nothing more, nothing less. Kazmir has the chance to be something special but you just never know with prospects... (A certain ex Yankee phenom Brien Taylor come to mind) Coincidently, I can't even name the last Met who came up through the system and was a big contributor for them. So from the Mets perspective they took the sure thing and I can't say I blame them....

  4. - When you catch her looking at you out of the corner of your eye yet when you turn to look at her she looks away...

    - When she plays with her hair or drink when you talk to her...

    - When she looks into your eyes and smiles while you're speaking to her..

    - When she's looking for reasons to touch you or brush up against you...

  5. I would say hold off as long as possible... What it comes down to is that if this person is the one for you and you think you're going to spend your lives together then what's the hurry?? Having your space and having time to yourself is very important and shouldn't be taken lightly. Remember your time away from your s/o is just as important as your time together....

  6. i was thinking about picking up final scratch because in the end you wind up saving bc you're not buying records every week/month... but if dj's use programs to help them beatmatch then what's the point of even paying a dj to perform??? might as well just throw on a cd... im all for technology and whatnot but a program that helps you beatmatch is pushing it... it takes away the fun... every mix is perfect blah!!!

It depends on the DJ... At this point I don't think Sasha has to prove to anyone that he can beatmatch. This would free him up to give more attention to track selection and/or programming. He could also literally create something completely new on the fly. I still think beginners should learn the basics but if your already past that point I don't see the big deal in this...

  7. getting there from nyc is a bitch i hear.. have to fly to spain then take a charter over or something along those lines but there arent any direct flights... sucks goat dick but i imagine since ill be there already it wont be that bad nor expensive just hopefully the exchange rate balances out in the next year...

It's a small island so they don't have a runway big enough for really large planes to land. That's why there is a stopover...
