  1. Masterweb....Props brother. But c'mon now. You are missing the point. The point is they got seated where they got seated because of the $80 for 20+ People "initially". All of the rest of the terrible things that resulted was because the Host was pissed off. If "LeftyMo" can't see this or anyone else for that matter, I urge you to reflect back to my original post. Others in this thread hit on it as well. You want love, you must show love? And yes in front. If they were all Doctors and "well to do" people(I'm sure they were)then they need to have better judgement or at least someone with more experience in the Vegas Club Scene. This isn't a "racial thing" just a respect one. A B-Note minimum should have been offered and in my mind 2 of them would have been better. 20 Plus People and $200 to the Host Up Front and none of this happens. And that's if they are Al-Quaeda with "plastique" in their Turbans looking to detonate the Wynn into the stoneage. No offense to anyone wearing a Turban. It was meant as a joke. Jay C
  2. <Sigh> After wading thru all of these responses I have a couple of comments. "Vegas isn't a clubbing mecca"? You've seriously got to be kidding...right? Los Angeles couldn't hold a candle to Las Vegas on it's best day with Vegas at 2PM in the Middle of July when it's 122'. "$80 to a Host for a party of 20 Plus People at Tryst on a Weekend Night" That is absolutely retarded. Anyone who says otherwise is either full of shit, unable to comprehend the context of this situation because they are a club neophyte or just plain poor. I'm not trying to offend anybody but it's reality. Whether it's acceptable to you or not is a conversation for another day. When I go to Vegas and I have tables(Jet-Tao-Empire-Drais-Tabu etc), I'm dropping $400 without even a thought to the Host-and Security because you must show love. As somebody mentioned before Vegas club employees practically subsist on your generosity and tipping. I am white but roll with a very diverse crowd. My wife is Asian and most of our friends are a Rainbow Coalition of ethnicity. I have never once been discriminated against nor has a member in my party. But again...you get what you pay for. If there are certain people on this listserve who don't understand this conversation or what I'm implying feel free to hit me up back channel. But the excuses for poor service-racism and any other complaints are completely out of place and wack relative to their "clearly" true cause. Deal with reality or reality deals with you. No disrespect or offense to anyone who takes my comments as slanted or out of place.
  3. "mikdondadon22" WTF....Care to elaborate who you are? I guarantee that you will not shit on anyone. If you are actually a real person and would like to step out from behind your Daddy and Mommy's keyboard, name the place and the venue. We'll have a meeting of the minds. Step to the mike girlfriend! Jay C
  4. No offense homey..... But are you questioning E Pope? My brother.....my Clubplanet brother......E Pope and his "entourage" pretty much run game in Vegas. And trust me, if he arrives at any club in Vegas with 20 guys---he usually doesn't have to make a phone call. But if he does, or somebody he's with does, "See you in the club". I promise...nah...I guarantee you that. How We Do! Now about your promoting your services on this site. Have at it man. But don't try to call out people especially when you are without any context to the frame of their logic. Jay C
  5. Y'all.... I saw Sharam over Memorial Day Weekend in the Main Room at Jet. I've been clubbing in Vegas for over 10 years....There was nothing...and I mean nothing.... that has torn up their sound system like that...."so far".. As far as I know the Sound System at Avalon in LA is the only place I've heard rock louder than Sharam that night....It was insane... If you like Electronic Music....there is no better Venue than Jet in the main room with talent like Dubfire "making it happen".... C U There! Jay C
  6. HA...HA.... Ohh...I think I'm invited? Can anyone confirm? ;-) HOLLA JayAnhski www.myspace.com/anhski

    Tao

C'mon now. You either have zero game, zero looks, clueless or all of the above? This is a ridiculous thread. Jay C
  8. We'll be there 4 Sure....Probably with you. ;-) Jay C
  9. Yo... Who comin? It would be nice to see some DJ Lineups and pool parties. Obviously Rehab will be cracking on Sunday July 2nd. But what about Sunday Night? Anything in place for Saturday? Monday is a tough choice for Pool Parties with "Pure Locals" Pool Party at Caesars going up against "Relax" at the HardRock. Monday Night Jet should be great but any competition? Tuesday is the Holiday and I'm expecting many people to take off Monday and make a long weekend out of it---staying thru Tuesday. Pure is OTC on Tuesday nights. I wonder if there is going to be any special pool parties on Tuesday(the observed 4th of July Holiday) If anyone can shed any light, please do. I haven't seen a schedule for Empire yet. Jay C
  10. Because 4th of July is on a Tuesday, expect many people to take off Monday and head to Vegas on Saturday for an extra long weekend. Tuesday being the celebrated holiday or "day off" from your job. I know my wife and I are. ;-) Jay C

    MDW recap

I really don't have much to add.. Greenie is the man when it comes to writing narratives and full fledged yarns about the Vegas scene.....He is so poignant and succinct with his delivery. I will chime in a bit about Rehab. That place was insane. Absolutely off the hook. I have never---ever...i repeat ever...never ....have seen so many beautiful people scantily clad....And I've been there now 5 times or so in the last couple of years... Celebrities--Pro and Amateur Athletes--Porn Stars---Strippers--Call Girls--Pro and Amateur Bodybuilders----Absurdity was the order of the day. Reggie Bush came in with some dudes from Def Jam and partied in our cabana...Very cool cat and humble as hell....I hope he doesn't get injured and becomes the MJ of football....Houston will rue the day they didn't draft him #1.... Tiesto was absolutely positively "AVERAGE at BEST"....he didn't know if he should embrace his sound and style due to the "variation" among the crowd....so he chose to play some mellow house/trance songs with vocals...He was actually playing Gabriel and Dresden remixes of Jewel and Andain songs..... Listen...if people are there to listen to Tiesto and pay "huge coin" to do so---he damn well better play his music so they can vibe his sound....not some mickey mouse half baked---microwaved rendition of "uplifting" house/trance---for lack of a more apt description.... Jack came on later for a bit and of course dropped some science when he played P.A.T.T and a couple of other hits...I was hoping he'd drop Dreams the Tocadisco Remix...maybe he did...but I don't recall hearing it. All in All the only negative for Rehab was that it was too crowded and bathroom lines were very difficult to navigate...Cabana service was much improved over opening day. They were staffed, prepared and delivered... Props to Jack L, Chad and the rest of his "crew" for truly delivering one of the most amazing pool parties on this here planet. Jay C
  12. Y'all... I witnessed Tiesto at Rehab and then at Empire. When Farsheed came on after Tiesto it was early morning and the crowd was pretty much "washed out"....Homeboy came on and absolutely "RAN GAME" with his first 4 songs...He did a rendition of P.A.T.T from Sharam that was twisted.....I'm still vibing that beat in my mind right now....Everyone was dead tired and he had everybody on their feet and rocking......WOW.....WOW.....WOW....Seriously he blew Tiesto away. And that opinion was pretty much shared by everyone still in Empire that witnessed his set. He is clearly the best DJ on the West Coast right now relative to his sound....And he gets brownie points for getting amped and hopping and rocking to his own beats....really gets the crowd into it with his rhythym and gesticulations.....I had seen him many times before and always thought he had talent...but this guy has taken his game to a whole new level....If you are a Vegas local, appreciate this guy because he won't be "local" for long......This guy is on a collision course for the top 10 DJ list ---and fast... God Bless you Joe...you deserve all the hype and praise....You earned it with your hard work. Jay C
  13. E and Greenie are both right on. Mr Freeze....Man...I must admit..."Back in the Day"...when i was growing up poor in NY(upstate actually)---your crew and sound was the shit.(or at least who you represent) I have most of your crew's old stuff and I even go back to the days of the Treacherous Three. I still give you love and respect you for your sound but your tired and played out attacks of people that you are obviously jealous of---(and please don't see this as an attack on you but rather an attack on your "hating" of people that are successful)needs to stop. First it was OPM's Resident(Masterweb)(who spearheads a top Notch operation at his club)then it was other Vegas DJ's and now Tiesto? Give it break my brother. It's OK for you to personally dislike people's sounds but to say they are wack is ludicrous at best. You have a mountain of supporting evidence that directly contradicts your opinion. But that's why it's called an opinion. Respect brother! Jay C
  14. C'mon now.... The only thing that's coming from your message is.... Jealousy You are comparing two different types of DJ's. Tiesto doesn't mix and scratch ala old school hip hop DJ's like yourself, but to say he isn't a talented DJ is just not true. A lot of his sound is obviously "studio engineered" and his realm is the House/Trance musis scene. He has an absolutely huge world wide following. If you don't believe me, head over to the Hard Rock Hotel Pool on Sunday May 28th at about 12 Noon. And no, you don't have to be on drugs to vibe his sound. Jay C
  15. Ladies and Gents.... Rehab was insane. Cons: the line was long you couldn't get in(during the first 3 hours) unless you had Cabana reservations or were mobbed up with Local Celebrities the music until Jack came on at about 5PM was pretty wack. They were playing Rob Base and GnR oldskool. Pool was pretty nasty from people partying Cabana Service was not up to snuff---Too many people and not enough staff to service people in a timely and efficient manner. Pros: Sickest group of hot people--Girls and Guys that I've seen in Vegas---Ever. Excellent Vibe---People were there to have a good time. I take offense to the "Meathead Comments"---JK Bill--Honestly there was no drama just Ass Shaking and Breast Quakin. Cabana set up was a whole lot better. My boy Jack played the illest remix of Dreams--TocaDisco Cut that I've ever heard....Just twisted. Also dropped the new Bob Sinclair Remix Cut....OTC baby. My personal opine is that Las Vegas needs a better competitor "on the strip" to Rehab on not only Sunday but Saturday. I was told by quite a few people that Club Cherry is best pool/niteclub venue in Vegas right now but it's still too far for the masses to travel after partying all nite. (20 min cab ride off the strip) There are way too many people that come to Vegas now to "be seen" at pools and similar Venues and would rather not gamble their money away. And if you think these people are not spending money, you better think again. Many are easy to part with upwards of $3500 for a Cabana/Bottle Services/Tip and Good Times.(one day only) I'm hoping that with the new Tao Pool and Palms Pool, that some competitive pool parties start popping up. It's hard for me to think that I would go back to Rehab again due the mob scene and crowd...but Tiesto for Sunday Memorial Day Weekend? OMG.... Time to reserve some cabanas. ;-) I'm sure my boy Everett will chime in after me. Mad props to him and his crew for showing my wife and I such a great time. Jay C
