It will be hard to get Rivers I think with Brees having to have surgery on his shoulder for I believe the same injury that Pennington had that caused him to lose arm strength apparently, so I believe the Chargers will try to keep Rivers as an insurance policy in case Brees is never the same after this injury. With a middle of the pack position, it is hard to guess on picks until all the underclassmen declare for draft. I would think secondary or o-line as priorities. Go Steelers!!

Isocynate is a really nasty chemical if you ask a HazMat or evironmental person who is familiar with it. It is of concern locally because there are several businesses in Miami-Dade that use the material and have considerable stockpiles and an accident at one of the sites could cause the evacuation of a large area. If I recall, it is the chemical that killed like 1200 ppl in that release in Bapal (sp?) India like 20 years ago or so. I am sure another foam manufacturer in the US or internationally will pick up the slack.

I am on-call for work this weekend, so I can't really go out, so have to take a raincheck on that. Rather than a Bling autograph, how about one of the snappy shirts I have seen pics of in posts?....

Well, I have rarely posted here a few times, mainly on hurricane posts because I work for the local gov't and work at the EOC when we are activated. Male, 33; like to come here to see what all events are going on, haven't had the pleasure to meet any of you all out yet due to some poor events in personal life, but hope to be more active going out here in the near future.

Herald's website now has prediction of a Friday landfall as a category 1 hurricane....but waiting on update from EOC...

Yeah, if they get Crosby signed and the #2 pick from the year before, the center from Russia whose name escapes me right now, they should have some great young forwards and hopefully then Fleury will develop into a good goalie to provide an excellent young team core....Go Pens....game in Nov and April against Panthers, hope to make it to one if not both

I met Teele while working as a Goodwill Ambassador at the last election when he voted at the polling site I was working at, I send my sympathy to his family and even though I don't think he was the cleanest politician in this city of many dirty politicians, he was well liked in his community by the reaction of the people in the voting precinct.

I will watch and try to go to some games if they do as they said and lower the prices of tixs. Will love it if under the new CBA the Pens can get back to being more competitve and be able to keep some of their talent...

Projection still have it going to the west of FL, but if it takes the western end of the projection, Miami-Dade could still see tropical storm force winds at the storms current size....

Well there is the rumor of the Chiefs calling the Dolphins about trading Larry Johnson (former PSU running back) to them for Safety Arturo Freeman.....

There are several good colleges in town and the surrounding area, some are better than others for certain majors, so maybe if you already had a major decided upon we could assist better. FIU and U of Miami are the ones I would put as the top two, UM for Marine Sciences is excellent.....GO CANES...lol
