Weds Jerome Thomas resigned as GM of RA. It marks the chsnge of a place that was one of the first nightclubs in vegas and up until memorial day, it was still one of best and busiest places in Vegas. Since then every piece of what made RA special has systematically removed. From the superstar dj's and pleasuredome and Warren Peace and Mr. B.O.B. Rumor is that Pure group will take over RA, so for me to say that RA is at its demise my be premature but i dont RA will never be the same.

If you planning on coming to Vegas for NYE here are a couple of simple tips to make your weekend go off without a hitch. Get started yesterday, if you have connections here in Vegas you should have contacted them already. Don't wait to the last minute. Rooms are going to be expensive as well as everything else Note: Clubs are going to up their general admission from 20.00 to 275.00. Tables are going to be ridiculous. The listing below is some of the pricing that you will be looking at if you want to get in. VIP passes, Comp admission cards ect... For NYE most clubs won’t be accepting them. They are usually good they days leading up to NYE and the days after. Some clubs will use them as line pass only ect... Guestlist: For NYE there wont be many guestlists, unless you personally know someone (and even if you do) the guestlists will still be hard to come by. The club I work at we are only allowing the employees a 4 person guestlist and the guests have to be there when we open. General Admission: The general admission will range from 50.00 at the smaller clubs / Ultra Lounges and all the way up to 275.00 for the Mega Clubs *Pure 200.00 General Admission *Tao 200.00 Open Bar for an Hour *Body English 275.00 General Admission Tables / Bottles: Most Vip tables at the major clubs with be sold in packages, so will do high minimums. Packages: for the cheapest package you are prolly looking at 1000.00 for 4 people. For groups of 15-20 you are looking at 10,000-20,000 ect... Get started now, get to the clubs early. Most clubs will open an hr or too early. *Note the strip will be closed for driving.

no ra doesnt play hip hop and none of the dj that were there a year go dj there.

As a operator you have to push the bottle sales... Its the main source of revenue and it's all profit for the most part. I have it but you can pack a place with 1000 people but if they dont buy bottles your place wont succeed in vegas. It sux...all the new places have 50+ tables and small dance floors.

I will say this when i worked RA we would have the best house DJ's in the world on thursday and would have a half packed house. We would have our resident hip-hop dj on thursday and have over 2000 people come through the door. Alot of people say they want to hear house but it just doesnt seem to work in Vegas anymore. Ice and Tabu do a good job but i dont see people coming out in droves to listen to it. You can have a minor hip-hop talent and pack the house. You have to do alot more for house. House is a tough business for a big club.

I'm A vegas Nightclub promoter and i looking for some help with my Miami Trip Oct 23-21. If someone can lead me to the right tread or post it would be appreicated. It will be me and 3 of my friends coming down. We are into to Hip-hop but dont want to be a a place that is thugged out, Nor do i want to be at a place that is Super upscale either. We will prolly get some tables but i dont want to be at Miami's Version of Pure or Rain. Any Help would be appreciated.

I would suggest Vivid on weds, Opm (thursday or Sat) and back to opm for sunday for the reggae party. You can check out curve or vivid on fridays.
