  1. I miss Jeff. I may be a former disgruntled employee speaking- but Jeff was still a good guy...
  2. I was thinking the same thing. I love what they've done with the X room.
  3. Solid- I have a BP there at the end of the summer. Thanks Skippyd
  4. VERY intimidating from a man who idolizes a no name celebrity on radio... Good luck finding your man... Or any man for that matter-
  5. My point is that it is fishy whenever someone says that they just wanted to know. Your natural curiosity is not to know every person in every photo, that is not a source of motivation... Why not say what we are looking at this picture for- especially if you are asking for help...
  6. So why not say it... Expose the jerkoff. IF that is the case, I'll retract. But if that's fabricated, have yourt head checked...
  7. NO ONE would post just to find out who someone is. There is ALWAYS an ulterior motive. I'm guessing you're the faggot, or he's banging your girl...
  8. The real criminal is the next parent that sends there kid to go over to Neverland... You can use the settlements to pay HIS future psychiatic treatment.
  9. Never heard the track. But that skid is a classic... I've got a fever- and the only perscription... Is more COWBELL. http://www.emlyn.net/archives/000139.html
  10. It's not illegal. They have a right to refuse anyone they want... It's just poor business..
  11. No offense Velvet... You don't want to work there. A) It's not busy. Management doesn't know what they are doing. Get out ASAP. Go somewhere else more established. Club startups are rough and there are alot of growing pains.... For that you get the bounce-
  12. I've worked in my share of clubs/bars. NEVER heard of them not allowing you in on your night off. Some places limit how much you can drink, some places say you can only go to certain bars for drinks (to regulate it). Some give you half price to limit cost losses and encourage everything being rung up. But NEVER not being allowed to go in. In my experience, bartenders have a following (regulars, friends, etc). Some actually have fans (I know a couple of guys that get billing like "Artie bartending at R Bar tonight" in ads, they are like quasi-celebs). They should let you in. Worst case scenario, they fire someone who gives away drinks to fellow workers and then no one would do it... No one would put their coworker in a position where they felt like they HAD to hook them up if they knew they'd be fired.
  13. Way to kill the thread. It's no fun to pick on someone who can take it...
  14. Madness- you are a black guy (and a really nice guy I might add). This problem was on a night where it was mostly "people of Indian descent". You can't make appologies for all people?! Anyway, Hip Hop is the largest Genre orf music out there (2nd is Country but who cares- I don't like my sister like that). It NEEDS to be in clubs in some way or another. They key is attracting the right crowd that can behave themselves. Keep everything under control (dress codes, proper security to diffuse problems) and expect to have SOME problems anyway like every other place does. Plus, I don't believe that this was necessarily a crowd incident (like Sleep, Packees, etc). I know they have ALOT of security there, and I'm not defending them because I wasn't there, but this just looks like a situation handled poorly. my .02
  15. Hell yeah we have Photoshop!!!
  16. I worked there when it first opened. For the most part it was a pretty good place to work- just was not THAT busy when I was there. Haven't been back since (not for any other reason than it's a hike for me). I read the article like everyone else, and doubt it's the real Joey Buttafuoco... But seriously, consider changing your name? http://www.weht.net/WEHT/Joey_Buttafuoco.html
  17. Max is the sweetest dog- would never hurt anyone... But still a bad policy to have him around- agreed. Why keep a dog at a night club anyway? My theory (because no one in their right mind- especially an owner sharing liability- would unleash a dog in a night club), is that when the doors were locked, people were looking for an exit and the dog was loose in a back room. The dog was probably let into the club on accident by someone trying to get out.
  18. Zinc says back to the subject- This is the subject. New Brunswick's weak night life is getting weaker, satisfied? So we really never left the subject, just drew comparisons against other areas. Back to the subject
  19. The best part of this story is that the ABC prosecutor is Joey Buttafuoco...
  20. Unlisted Charges in Belmar: Illegal right on red = see DUI Speeding = see DUI Corona at Djais = $8 lol
  21. I liked Platinum the couple of times I was there, but the crowd was kinda suspect. Lots of busted chicks stuffed into tiny outfits like Sausages!! It's no hole in the wall though- Fridays there are really good (I'm told) and Saturdays aren't as busy, but it's a better crowd (less teeny boppers).
  22. What I think is ridiculous is their fines... $350 for playing the stereo too loud? C'mon! You get $150 for sleeping in your car... What if you have the good sense to not drive if you're not able? Maybe you didn't think you'd be put in the situation, but if you are- why punish someone for NOT driving? http://www.belmar.com/Default.asp?Section_ID=486
  23. I'm a big fan of Glo, but I left it off because you really can't dance there. The places being sanctioned will still be open late, but you won't be able to dance there either. Love it when they mix Live Music/DJ @ Glo (Congas or sax with the house music). Totally forgot about Deko too (like that place ALOT)- always have a great time there. But... Billy's passed it's prime 5 years ago. Abyss the same. Kat Man Du is in Trenton, quite a hike for anyone in Middlesex/Somerset/Union County. Plus, I work in Trenton full time and wouldn't recommend anyone coming down here EVER. This place is a DUMP.
  24. "decided to eliminate the problem by enforcing the town law. These places without a caberet license got gready and one place screwed it up for them all." I heard the same thing... But you are wrong- they screwed it up for all of us too. Central NJ doesn't have much too offer (Studio 9, Platinum, and a host of regular bars) as far as night life is concerned, this is definitely not a good thing..
  25. If it's anything like Nikki Beach, FL It should be GREAT!!
